You know what, the plastic junkies have their thread - I think it's time we comics readers got our own, too.

You know the gist: post your weekly, monthly, seasonal (or daily/hourly, if you're that into it) hauls of Transformers comics, digital, trades, single issues, collections, hardcovers!
Also allowed are commissions, autographs, sketches and prints. Even fan comics and exclusives (as long as they're not your creation - show those off in the Fan Artwork threads).

Oh, and do post pictures if you want, so we can all go 'ooooooh' at the prettiness.



I'll start off with pre-New Comic Book day stuff, as I got some cash this week and decided to finally grab all the IDW -ation series and the Spotlight volumes!
They should be arriving by the end of this week, they all dispatched today.

And in terms of pretty pictures, here's a Josh Burcham commission:

And he couldn't decide on the colours, so he sent me two!

I feel bad about double-posting, but no one seems to care about the thread.
If it doesn't get any more views by next week, I'll abandon it myself.

BUT. Today is new comic book day, and along with picking up Spotlight: Hoist, these arrived in the post!

This is a great idea for a 'haul' thread and surprised no one else had put this forward, because like you say, the plastic junkies have their threads...

I just received two TPBs I never thought I'd buy. But they were cheap, and the completist in me was uncomfortable with how the shelf looked.

Managed to snag my myself a Transformers Fall of Cybertron Oneshot via CMJ Comics on Ebay!

Here's today's haul, after three weeks away from the country.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on RID #17 once you've read it. I really enjoyed it and had no problems with Ramondellis artwork. Quite the opposite. Page 16 was fantastic .

So I thought I'd show off some recent additions to my collections. Page 2 from the RID annual by Guido Guidi. Original inks over pencils. Got it back from the Frame shop about 3 weeks ago and haven't put it up yet. If you guys like it I will post some more.

I have read RID 17, and I left some comments in the review thread!

Wow! Very nice piece Q!

Framing original pieces of artwork really sets them off well, I have framed some of my Lew Stringer, John Bolton and Alan Moore bits and they look lovely!

I should get down my local Art Centre for framing as I still have an original page of Andy Wildmans Marvel Transformers artwork which introduced 'The Neo-Knights'!

Bring back The Neo-Knights! Ay!

And thanks too. Framing is the only way to go for displaying original comic art. Really enhances the page IMO. There's still 8 issues of Regen to go, so you never know about the Neo knights . They were always favorites of Furmans from what I've read. Get that page framed and displayed!

Question, could I post stuff in here even if I've had it for ages?
I don't really go out and buy original comic art or commission things due to low funds, but I do have the odd thing by artists.

Please do! Both robotmel and quickmixed have done that, and I just want the thread to catch on a bit. I only update it regularly to keep it floating.

I'm hoping/dreading the amount of stuff I'll get from AA this summer.

OK, if that is so I'll post one every day, maybe we can get more interested that way.
First off a commission I got off of Boo, after pestering him about what we can expect in the RTS/ Generations lines. All it cost me was the BIS Universe Galvatron repaint.

Next Up, Nick Roche from AA, and then a sketch by Derrick Wyatt and then my last piece which is cartoon related.

Roche, not so much, I have two - and I adore the Kup he did for me.
