Yeah thats what Chibi Starscream was eferring to and I as well. But I think with so many shows doing this, it comes out to the same, you just pair up 2 10 minute shows.
In that case, pairing up two eps isn't all that different from the previous format of two-segmented episodes filling the same 22-minute slot, right?

If that's what they do, I'd even think it was okay.

You misunderstood me, I meant they could be pairing two different tv shows both which have 10 mins episodes. Honestly I dont really know how its done, I dont watch actual TV anymore. Everything my kid watches is on youtube (DC Superhero girls), netlflix (The Last Jedi *shudder*) or daily motion (Gumball).

Also, just to be clear, she only watches the Last Jedi because that is the ONLY Star Wars film on netflix and it has all the characte she likes. She cant tell the story blows yet, she just sees Luke saying hi to 3PO, or Captain Phasma walking about, and she's happy.

You know whats nuts? For many many years, I would have preferred watching coyote vs roadrunner over anything new. But with my young daughter, I tried showing her some cartoons and I found them less funny than I remembered, maybe its because i had seen them so many times. And then we watched the amazing world of gumball and I was laughing like a madman.

Lol. I likely won't. I loved Star Wars when it was directed by George Lucas. Also that 20th Century Fox jingle is ingrained in my soul as being the start up right before the epic prologue story. It's a sacred franchise that I think Disney has tainted. I wish George Lucas never sold the rights to SW to Disney.

Getting back on topic...honestly, most of these don't look too bad as toys. As figures of the characters, yes, they're kinda lacking, but that isn't what these are meant to be.

If I may throw my (black) hat in the ring, I don't mind the idea of a kids' line being simpler than a collector's line. My problem is that Generations, fun though it is, feels about the same level as what I'd expect out of a decent kids' line, and the Cybereverse stuff looks absolutely horrendous even by kids' standards.

Lemme explain it. I grew up with an eclectic mix of things around the time I was the age these are aimed at- mostly RID and UT. And whilst a lot of those toys haven't aged as well as I'd like to remember, they're still a lot better as toys almost 10 years old than these, which have only just come out. As a kid, I loved my TFs, even the crap ones, but I still had standards. Like, I loved (and still do) my Armada Megatron but I was always sad his legs didn't move. He looks amazing from every angle and he's fun and easy to transform but even as a kid the brick nature sucked. Compare that to, say, Cyberverse Starscream, whose legs are just empty single-piece molded facades. Even as a kid that would have put me off hardcore. And compared to the better "kids" lines- Cybertron, Animated, even Energon to a degree, they end up looking like bootlegs.

I just think it's really sad that we've gone from kids' lines so good even collectors still want them to...these. It shows a real lack of love, attention and the designers' pride in their craft. I'm not saying every toy needs to be on par with the Studio Series for complexity, of course, but at least on the level of, say, TR- simple and intuitive but interesting and fun.

I'm a Geewun kid. Optimus Prime blew my mind away as a child. We were so poor, it was a miracle I even owned one. Optimus was simple to transform, but the robot rocked and that truck mode was perfect. I once handle cheapo "tried-to-be" transformers and even that 9yo could tell that they were garbage. Nothing like the awesome GoBots or that stellar Optimus.

Cyberverse may impress kids that are in the Rescue Bots ages. But anything older than that and the kid may have a hard time holding back the cringe.

Video Reviews of Transformers Cyberverse Bumblebee and Optimus Prime

Postby Va'al » Wed Jul 11, 2018 1:27 am

Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Via fellow Seibertronian -Kanrabat-, we have notification of two new video reviews from YouTuber Benscollectables of figures from the recently released Transformers Cyberverse toyline, well ahead of its animated series debut, and featuring simplified versions of iconic character designs - what has been referred to as 'evergreen' designs at times.

After Starscream and Shockwave, previously covered on our front page, it's now time for two Autobots: Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, both in their Warrior/deluxe class size, and both embedded in their reviews below - check them out, and let us know what you think of the four figures so far, and whether you have any interest in this new younger line!

Both Bee and Optimus are failing hard. Hollow messes, parts that detach when handling, mechanisms barely working... Is Shockwave the ONLY Warrior that is valid?

Yes. He is the only toy in the line that so far, I've considered buying. The others....no way. Other than this, the revealed Grimlock toy looks cool, but I eonder how he functions. Only reviews of this toyline will probably give me decisions. I may not bother with the line at all though. I thought RID was kiddy, but this is beyond bad.

Yeah, kinda seems that way. Way better articulation and a gimmick that doesn’t get in the way of much else. I will say that the scout class Bumblebee looks kinda alright though, it at least got the door wings right.

(And to throw my hat in the Star Wars ring, TLJ wasn’t that great but the other new movies -at least IMO- are really good. TFA is actually my favorite Star Wars movie!)
