DeathReviews wrote:But yes, seeing Decepticons strapped with all those arm-mounted guns? And then spending ten seconds running forward half a mile so they can PUNCH the Autobots? That's just stupid. I would think that any melee based weapon would be the LAST thing you'd want to use against a giant, armored robot. They don't have to wear armor, because they're MADE of armor for cryin' out loud! You'd have to hack and slash at them for hours just to make a dint, and by then they could kill you, burn down your house, swipe your dough, impersonate you, take over your career, and key your car.

There's a reason why swords, clubs and suits of armor went the way of the dodo - and the reason was GUNS.

Lets look at weapons tge other way though. And just to be cheeky, I'll use the 86 Movie. Remember when Megatron attacks? Springer and Arcee Transform Autobot City, and the big blast door closes behind them? Do you remember what DOESNT breach the door? Megatron's Fusion Cannon. You know what does? The Insecticons physically eati g it, scrapinf away at the metal with knives. Brute Force with a scalpel.

Also an acceptable answer: Devastator ripping throuhbthe wall like a Kid on Christmas.

Metal can appearently be hardened to be Laser Resiliant, and as you say They are literally MADE of Armor, but how do you stop the Laws of Physics? If I was another Giant Robot and I knew Lasers were going to sting, but I had this big ass Hammer that could crush joints and mash brains, I might go for the hammer.

Star Trek did the same thing. Want to Kill a Borg? Use Real Bullets. (Or at least tightly condensed particles of light... Uh...)

And speaking of, the Movies suggest that the Transformers are using real shells, possibly reloaded from internally generated armaments, but its arguable since Hound says in TF4 "I'm Out" that there is a finite limit to how many or how quickly they can regrow ammunition. So again, maybe its better to go "Old School"

Well if that clip is anything to go by, then Hasbro clearly thinks kids have gotten dumber.

I mean in this social media generation and how most teens end up in these days I'm not surprised this is the attitude Hasbro takes.

Except the age group this cartoon is aimed at aren't old enough to be on social media.

It's parents who just shove a phone or tablet in front of the kids because they can't be bothered to parent.

Problem with parenting is trying to get everyone on the same page. I've got this problem with my oldest, I can keep an eye on him and try to help him on his way, but his friends parents...don't feel the same and let them get away with murder, and it's starting to rub off.

With regards to this, if either of my kids wanted to watch this, i wouldn't say no but I also can't see it holding their interest.

Parenting can only do so much for a person, ultimately the choice of what to do is theirs and theirs alone.

But anyways point is people have the stereotypical view that Children as a whole are dumb and that is part of why we have dumb shows.

Yet if those shows weren't profitable then they wouldn't get made. I mean look at SpongeBob SquarePants...that show has been going for a stupidly long time now...with two feature length films to boot.

Agreed. In my opinion, right around the first movie is when it began to go downhill. It got really stupid and disturbing after that, I can't watch any episodes past maybe 2004 anymore

The first movie is when it was originally supposed to end. Stephen Hillenburg resigned as showrunner at that point, following the completion of the film and Seasons 1-3, but Nick wanted it to keep going.

Though, my favorite episode happens to be a post-Movie one from Season 4, so, make of that what you will.

No but the general view of it from a parents point of view is that it was dumb.

Even back in the day nobody (at least nobody I knew) took Spongebob with any amount of seriousness.

Granted Spongebob was good (and I do hear that recently it has become better)

Um, is it bad that I enjoyed this? The show looks decent, the fight scene was a little cool (I'm ticked off that Thundercracker didn't use his null rays though), and the voice acting is good. Overall, I'd watch this. It's definitely no Prime or Animated, but at least it ain't RID15 or Energon

Eh? RID 2015 wain't that bad, I watched through most of it with my oldest and was far better than this "clip". Also, let's wait till after the show is out there before we see where it fits in with ideas of worst or best to shows...which would be subjective anyway as it would be hard to get everyone to agree to such a list

Nope, not a fan. The sad thing is, previously I'd always be requesting that Hasbro get a good anime company to produce the next TF series. Unfortunately the last one they gave us was GO! 8-} , so that isn't the fix either. (Honestly Car Robots was a good mix of really goon animation, and fun factor along with some serious elements). I don't know if we will ever get anything like BW or TF Prime again, or at least not for another 6-8 years.

That wasn't even Hasbro either. Go! was all Takara.

Though, Hasbro did use the same company Takara used for Go! to make Machinima's Prime Wars Trilogy, but despite it being the legendary Tatsunoko Production, we all know that it was anything but.

And RID 2015 was done by Polygon Pictures, the same anime company who did Prime, along with two other anime companies GONZO and drop.

Yeah but the style and quality was completely different. They wanted to cut costs, and aim at a younger audiance. Cyberverse looks like hasbro wanted additional cost cutting (though it is a completely different animation studio this time), and skewing even younger than for RiD15

The animation looks good and smooth but the characters just look creepy. Their eyes just look soulless and quite frankly I don't like looking at them. Now I am a grown adult but I am certain children will have nightmares. I will say the Decepticons look okay because they are supposed to be scary. But Bee and Windblade are supposed to look friendly, not hollow.

I like this, the fight was pretty standard but the scene with Bee talking nonsense with Windblade getting annoyed was pretty fun.

It give me an indication this can show can be more clever than it appears.

That clip looks like the 'alpha' level of test animation that shouldn't see the light of day until a DVD box set comes out as part of the 'Special Features/Extras' bonus content.

Yikes.
