Let me give a guess on the plot...

The moon is in fact Unicron, who has slept in orbit around earth for milliena, and now he awakens and wants to destroy earth.

Though, how do you defeat the moon? If he goes (or even if he doesn`t), what will happen to the Earths eco systems? When will Silverbolt be revealed? And most important - when will we see Megan Fox?

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the title...

Hopefully, TF3 will sync with Dark Side of the Moon batter than the Wizard of Oz did.

Are you kidding? Dark side of the Moon syncs near perfectly with Wizard of Oz, up until about 1/2 way through the film. You just have to know when to start it. I can't remember which Lion's roar you have to start it with.

It sounds weird to me, but as long as it's relevant to the plot it'll work.

Hm, That's a rather interesting name. Hopefully it will have some plot significance. (that better not involve Unicron.) :???:

Agree. Dosn't Unicron cast a shadow over the planets and moons he's about to eat in the animated movie? Probably in the marvel comics too, but I don't have them on hand to check. If so, then the title makes sense. It probably has multiple meanings, just like Revenge of the Fallen did.

Now as for Unicron *being* the moon, that's just silly and I hope that's not actually what they've done. :(

The Dark Of The Moon? Really? Geez.

Why not something equally dumb sounding, but makes a tad more sense? Such as The Dark Moon or something like that?

Crap in a hat that sucks.

I concur! I can't stand 'of the' titles and I knew TF3 would be yet another, but I actually like this one! :D

Sorry to burst your bubble here, it's wrong, sadly. In the first movie, Optimus says that with the Allspark away from Cybertron, Cybertron, like in the future of War for Cybertron's plot, was cold, barren, and uninhabitable. So, sorry to be the the smart-ass (sorry if that offends anyone), but your theory is wrong. Good thinking though, as if Optimus never said those words, I might have gone along with that theory. For the moment, I'm sticking with the "Our-Moon-is-actually-Unicron-in-disguise-like-it-was-in-Armada" theory.

I think it would be a great idea to have Unicron be the moon! And at the end of the movie all the people have to move to that newly discovered planet by using the Autobot's technology.

It's the Dark of the Moon because that's where the Nemesis is, and Megatron's army.

And no, it's not a Twilight Crossover.

I love all the haters... it's freaking hilarious. I'm not even into the Movie Mythology but half you guys got nothing on it.

Straight up, I don't like you. You've got an attitude problem and your so called rumors are common knowledge to everyone here on this site. But seriously dude.. use better adjectives than 'gay'. It's disrespectful, and distasteful.

Bad title. One can only assume that because Pink Floyd used a very common phrase as an album title about thirty years ago, for some ungodly reason a usual phrase has been reduced to The Dark of the Moon, which - to me - sounds ignorant. Like one of those folks that loves to talk in cliches, but never gets them right.

Hell, Transformers; The dark of the moon...subtext; Transformers ***hole?

Seriously though, it's a bad title.

That's a comment better suited to PMs or not said at all. Do you forget that you're a moderator? Do you forget that it doesn't give you Carte Blanche to make a comment such as that? Even if you feel that way, you really don't have a right to say it publicly. At the very least, it should've been done via PMs. And even then, it's bordering on trollish behavior or a personal attack.

Blurrz wrote:You've got an attitude problem

That's also an issue that should be handled privately through PMs.

I agree, his wording was...grating, but you're supposed to either rise above it (as many mods and admins do) or make your statements privately, to him and him alone. Perhaps a complaint to your fellow mods and admins, but that's about it.
