Disc 1 - DOTM Blu-ray
Disc 2 - Behing the Scenes
Disc 3 - DOTM 3D Blu-ray
Disc 4 - DOTM DVD/Digital Copy

Really four disks dedicated to D.O.T.M. Granted I like the movie and I could understand two disks maybe even three but four. Okay Disc 1 - DOTM Blu-ray makes sense, Behing the Scenes makes sense, Disc 3 - DOTM 3D Blu-ray why not just make 3D an option on the first disk, Disc 4 - DOTM DVD/Digital Copy isn't that what was first released okay maybe without the digital copy but still it's a little redundant I mean whats the point. Well beside trying to make money

Because a 3D movie take up A LOT of space. So much so, that it needs to be kept on a separate disc that can handle the space. And the first release didn't have an on-disc Digital Copy. It had a DVD copy and a downloadable Digital Copy. Downloadable Digital Copies can only be used once, while On-Disc Digital Copies can be used as many times as necessary as long as they are tied to the same account used the first time.

Also...its a good thing I waited for this version instead of falling for what I call "The Avatar Trap."

EDIT: I also found out that Blu-Ray 3D is a separate format than Blu-Ray and can only be played on Blu-Ray 3D players/PlayStation 3.

i see....so Pirates 4 was starting a trend where you have to buy the 3D version if you want any extras. this is gonna be annoying, i mean sure it means i have 3D discs for the future if i ever go that way but considering they charge 5-8 dollars more for 3D versions around here, its sorta annoying.

but i didn't buy the movie only edition from october so least i'm not double dipping. :P

as for the box set, if its 7 discs well that seems obvious for content. each movie will be the 2 disc versions already released where disc 1 is the movie and disc 2 the extras...and since they said the 3D Part 3 is part of that deal, there's disc 7.

i'm a sucker for box sets but i already have the first two so sucks for me. lol though this will one day sale for cheap so knowing me i'll probably grab it then....unless a Part 4 has come or is coming by then. :P
