That art was never of Metroplex. That is an Autobot brute.griftimus prime wrote:way better than the original concept they had.

Yeah, the only reason they go through a portal in this is because that's what was in the Binder of Revelation which this scene was drawn from. I guess Tieger didn't realize that Hasbro made that up instead of it being something inspired by G1.Wigglez wrote:Yeah, there was no portal during the fight with the Ark and Nemesis in G1.

Except it still makes us feel nostalgic regardless.Sabrblade wrote:Just watched the interview. Matt Teiger says that the first level will feel nostalgic to G1 fans with it having the Ark and Nemesis leaving Cybertron through the space bridge portal... except that that never happened in G1.

True. Should have had him driving in like in the '86 movie. That would have been a cool homage.
Precisely. Matt Tieger has gone on record saying that Metroplex dwarfs both Trypticon and Omega Supreme.Archanubis wrote:Maybe it's just the way the two are built, but it looks like Metroplex is LARGER than Trypticon.

One part i didn't like was when Swoop gets a back hand from Bruticus and hits so hard it sends him off screen. Devastator smashed him up pretty good in the Movie as well. Poor Swoop

I get the feeling that scene is a nod towards the '84 movie. Other than the addition of Jazz and the fact Grimlock barely seems phased after Bruticus' right cross. After all, not only did Devastator manage to take out Swoop (who has always been depicted as the more "fragile" of the Dinobots), but it was Slag who knocked ol' Dev on his ass, just like he does to Bruticus here.

It's the same Metroplex trailer that was previously, but they reveal the game's cover art at the end of the clip. The cover features Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Bumbleebee, and Metroplex looming the background.
