Yes. It will. SDCC said so. - http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=78952&hilit=+villain#p1264095

Oh, I don't doubt its legitimacy. I'm just puzzled by why they're ignoring the Scorponok bit.

Was the Scorponok bit specifically mentioned for the new TF Prime-i-verse? Or was that only from the comics continuity? I know they haven't mentioned or intruduced Scorponok in the Prime series yet so perhaps his role is different in the new Notebook.

Once again Sabrblade shows that he has a special group of brain cells dedicated exclusively to TF trivia. I forgot that SDCC bit. Then again, my memory does not work as well when I'm sober... 8-}

From what I've read in Gameinformer. Shockwave discovered dinosaurs on Earth from looking through telescopes and stuff and captured Grimlocks team to give them the dino modes and stuff as experiments

ya all jokes aside i was really taken by surprise that *spoiler alert?* WFC and FOC are actually the same universe as tf:prime.
i finally believed this when i saw the 26th episode on yt.
and i personally only care a little of how grimlock gets a dinosaur mode. though i like the theory that shockwave looks through a telescope to get the modes.
and as much as i have been endorsing the fact that dinobots are now going to be part of FOC

I'm more happy about us being in it FOC than the dinobots dinobots
i mean come on i wanna see me in FOC more than retarded Grimlock Grimlock

It comes from Grimlock's first Hall of Fame bio from 2010, which, like all other TF Hall of Fame bios (except for Dinobot, Waspinator, and possibly Erector), refer to the Aligned version of the characters.
GRIMLOCK fought his way through the gladiatorial pits underneath Kaon to become one of the greatest warriors on CYBERTRON. Having joined the AUTOBOTS early on during the Great War, GRIMLOCK made it clear he never trusted OPTIMUS PRIME to properly lead the AUTOBOTS. Due to his shock and awe approach to combat, GRIMLOCK is not regarded as a great military leader. However, he has fought and survived through enough battles to earn top ranking position among the AUTOBOTS. Having struck out on his own, GRIMLOCK eventually found himself leader of the DINOBOTS, a special operations strike force unit that can power through most barricades and DECEPTICON strongholds. During a battle with the DECEPTICON SCORPONOK, GRIMLOCK’s vocal processors were damaged, leading to his awkward and distinct way of speaking. If GRIMLOCK has a weakness, it is his larger than Prime ego and his lack of patience.

I don't think it's a theory. I think this info comes from Game Informer itself.

erm, regarding the dinosaurs on Cybertron debate, isn't it therefore equivalently illogical that all Transformers have a humanoid form..? No? no

Or any form whose design stems from Earth? :P

I guess that means that the only proper form for a pre-Earth Cybertronian would be one that is incomprehensible to Earthlings. ;)

Well that would have to go with a bunch of shows about aliens. It is likely that they could've just been a race of cars and jets. But this happens before human civilization. So ask your self, where'd they get the design of cars and jets too?

But as a youth oriented fantasy fiction loving human, I'm happy enough with humanoid, vehicular, dinosaur, toaster, wotevs ;) (as long as they are metallic and transform)

So, why anyone with the magazine in-hand hasn't relayed this info yet, I don't know, but here I come to save the day!

From Game Informer:
"The calculating scientist Shockwave captures the Autobot warrior and his crew, and experiments on them using data gathered from a far off planet called Earth - a world still in it's infancy, populated by hulking reptilian beasts."

So, there you go. That's why there are Dinos on Cybertron.

Another bit in the mag that I'm surprised no one has mentioned (maybe it's the wrong thread/forum?)

Again, credit to Game Informer Magazine:
"Fall of Cybertron (FOS) is part of a new inititive to codify and begin anew with the Transformers fiction. Over the course of numerous cartoons, comics, toy lines, and movies Transformers had become a mess of continuities and concepts. Moving forward Hasbro wants to bring meaning to the chaos. While FOS draws deep from the well of old stories and characters, it's part of a new and definitive approach to the characters and thier universe for the coming years.Consequently, the events depicted in FOC and it's predicessor occur in the same universe as the related novels, and episodes of Transformers: Prime, the CG cartoon currently airing it's first season. This is the new official cannon of the Transformers."

Hasbro's Aaron Archer goes on to talk about how they've re-invented the Transformers every couple years, and they don't want to do that anymore. The game "tells the opening parts of that tale."

So not only are the games official cannon, but we aren't going to be seeing reboots every couple years. Awesome(IMHO).

We already know. It's been discussed in the Fall of Cybertron thread.

Again, we know. It's called the Aligned continuity. These games aren't G1 and bear no connecting relation to it.

From what i can gather from this web site:

http://www.gameinformer.com/p/transformers.aspx

Shockwave used the long lost Cybertronian Space Bridge technology to travel to pre-historic earth and observe the dinosaurs and took the idea back to cybertron to use in his experiments. This may also explain Trypticon and Laserbeak.

Hope this help :D

P.S. this being my 1st post after just settin up my account, can someone tell me where my FB profile number is so i can link it up on here?

That's pretty much how it goes except for Tryptocon. He was already like that in WFC. For your FB number, go to your profile and you'll see it in the url. Don't highlight the entire url address, just the numbers at the end of it.

thats true enough, but the same principal could apply. Maybe Shockwave went through the space bridge at an undetermined timed in the past, got the idea for trypticon and then scaled it down for Grimlock and co.

and thanks for the FB tip :)

Edit: there are no numbers lol
