I'll go look. Hold on.
I meant the combining aspect. I know the figures were mentioned in the listings, I just meant that it isn't confirmed that they'll be combining toys.

True.

and one final comparison, sorry Va'al, but at least it's 2/3rds official ;)

Maketoys Green Giant, CW "Ultra Prime," JP Gen FOC Bruticus
Image
Ok, with Prime as the torso, the new combiner's actually a little taller, and appears beefier than Green Giant, but doesn't quite feel it. The lack of ankle articulation and the forced angle of Prime's hip ratchets means the feet aren't perfectly stable, however when shaking the shelf, he shakes less than Bruticus, who's now positively tiny in comparison.
Menasor upon release is going to be one hefty bruiser compared to Superion, which makes sense I guess based in his characterisation.

I did that once and got thrown out because I was freaking the parents out, took 5 guys to launch me like a slingshot.

WHAT!!??

More details please.

Also, was this a NYC metro area TRU? If so, which one?

Dude sorry, I was joking. I would like to think that if someone really got thrown out of a TRU for scaring kids and parents they wouldn't admit it publicly, kinda embarrassing no?

On the topic at hand I hope to have my CW figures tomorrow. I'm using every ounce of self control not to buy a Silverbolt on eBay for $74, $87 with express shipping.

Congrats to all who got their Superions. Btw, who the last jet not released yet? Dragstip is gonna give Superion some massive CNA tissue rejection owing to his Decepticon incompatibility ;)

I have to say, even though I understand why it was done, not releasing all the airialbots in one wave was a mistake. Having Dragstrip as a limb on Prime or Superion really stands out in a negative way. What's worse is that it probably won't be until February that we see Wave 2

I like it! Superion is boring and you'll get it anyway once wave two hits... this way they are forcing you to scramble city this thing which is a gimmick that a lot wouldn't have experience if they just release everything at once..

Some of us scrambled cause we had no choice ;) though you find out you can be very creative when put to it. Plus the way I used Brawl as a cannon arm wasn't far off how the Japanese presented their idea on scramble city (and with Battle Gaia and Guard City)

Not sure I like the idea of Dragstrip as Mirage, the Classics mold is one of my favorites.

I'm in agreement there. Unlike Hot Rod/Rodimus, great size, articulation and design. Only "issue" is the tiny fist holes, so can't really use many other weapons. So unless the rumoured re-deco is amazing, I probably won't pick him up.

Well my only version of that classics mold is as Dragstrip, so I am kinda stuck with having to get him regardless. Also, Generations Mirage was confirmed through a walmart listing, so this will probably happen.

Since one of those is Ironhide, I am really hoping it's not that. His universe mold is apparently really bad. Best case scenario for me is that it's completely new mold.

The Hasbro Asia Specialists 3-pack Mirage/Hound/Ironhide are all really good. Worth picking up if you have a bit of extra scratch.

Ironhide isn't the best mold, but there have been much worse. I would prefer the original Universe mold over an Offroad redeco any day (if that's what Generations Ironhide turns out to be).

If its a repaint then ironhide is either Offroad or First Aid (assuming he is a new mold and not the already announced repaint of Prime rachet...or a repaint of Offroad himself)

Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Arriving in Rest of EU Market

Postby Va'al » Wed Dec 17, 2014 7:57 am

Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Fellow Transformers fan from Germany, Skylynx, has notified us of an update on the arrival of the Transformers Generations Combiner Wars to the rest of Europe and there is good news for non-UK fans: it appears Toys'R'Us has confirmed, at least for Germany, the arrival of the line will happen sometime late December and early January - but what does this mean for the US market? Will the figures arrive at general retail soon too? If your German is up to scratch, head here to read more.

I stopped by to let you know, that Hasbro and Toysrus confirmed that the Combiner Wars toyline began shipping to the stores in Germany. They also said, that we can expect the toys on shelves late December/ early January.

It is possible, that German neighbours (Belgium, Netherlands, France, etc) will see them on shelves at the same time.

I'm gonna call bull. Yes, Hasbro will make them available. Just like always. No, toystores will not order them. Just like always.

Added bonus, importing had become cheaper than walking across the street into a toystore. Deluxe in a toystore: €27.95, ordering online €21.

No store will carry Generations period, except for the odd ones during the FOC line. Worse, in the Netherlands Toys 'R Us is online only, so no Generations for us store-going folk. I do know a store in Delft that has some "extra stuff" like the AoE Dinobot Riders, but it's few and it's sitting on them for years: I can still find DotM Cyberverse stuff at full price. :BANG_HEAD:

As good as this news may be, for me it will mean nothing. As is my most recent hurtful experience, retailers in my country do not sell Generations line transformers.

Which is so very-very sad as the Robots in Disguise-line (which is all that they sell at this point) is utter crap since the ending of Prime-ascociated merchandise.

*EDIT: And I understand I'm not the only one with this problem...
