Saw that on Facebook earlier this evening. Like I said there, not my ideal Classics-style Sixshot, but a neat enough twist to warrant a buy.

Technically, one mode has been doubled (Swindle and Breakdown), since the robot mode is counted towards the original 6 for Sixshot. Still, neat idea. :)

It would be an awesome interpretation of the character, and I would greatly appreciate the effort and thinking outside of the box on it, it'd be pretty refreshing to see such a left turn taken with it.

I actually think this would be cool, take a bit of a legion-esque approach to him, where the combined form is sixshot, but, like magmatron, each individual figure is also sixshot :-?

What I find interesting is that as fans of a brand that is all about alien robots that change, a vast majority of us are adverse to change itself.

See, to me, Predators and Turbomasters were their own teams, but I wouldn't be adverse to them being made into combiners because:
a)- I suggested it and it's therefore a fricken cool idea
b)- They'd be modern takes on characters that haven't seen the light of day in nearly 30 years.

That's why I'm torn on Sixshot. He's one character. A change like this would separate him into six individual bots (not necessarily with their own unique personalities either) and thus negate the whole six changer concept.

But it's such a damn good idea!

Well, that's the thing, just 'cuz this might happen, doesn't invalidate the character, or mean it's the be all end all version of it. Look at all the different o/p's we've gotten, and so many of them try different things, I admit that it'd be nice to get an actual 6-changer first, but if this is what it takes for sixshot to get shelf space, or judge how much fans want it, I would be all over it.

Burn, Screamer, you nailed every point I would want to make. I welcome change since it keeps everything fresh, and sometimes transformers with new gimmicks they never had work better than others (For me, CW Hound is a major one). I especially love looking at TFWiki and seeing this character had a 1980's toy and then we have the new 2010's toy, 30 year gap. That shows that we are still into the little guys that have slipped under the radar. and I would so own any version of Sixshot they would put out, just like Computron. I really like both and they are sorely underrepresented :BOT:

I am by no means opposed to this. Imagine: no need to worry about putting the head in all the modes where it cannot be seen. Instead, it can ride the beast mode, pilot the gun/spaceship, and drive the armored transport/tank. I'd love it (so long as it is leader or above) :BOT:

But is making so many characters in Combiners (be they torso, limbs or the final combined mode) an act of laziness just to appease the fans who are clamouring for updates to old characters?

Ideally I too would like an updated six changing Sixshot, BUT ... given how much Hasbro loves to repaint things, I could see Quickshot missing out on a unique mold and become, at the very least, just a repaint, or if he's lucky, a slight remold.

It could be yes. I love unique molds (like thrilling 30 Brainstorm) but I am not opposed to repaints/retools so long as they work. for me: Hound works beautifully. Wheeljack not so much, but it is still an update that mostly looks the part and has a new gimmick that makes him a bit interesting in a unique regard. Also, I think the overexcessive use of the molds will end after combiner wars and go back to maybe 2 or 3 uses, not 4-6. Thrilling 30 had about a retool per wave, but it was a different character, and one who was supposed to share a body type (Hoist/TC, Skids/Crosscut) or they did it well enough that the differences made them unique (Springer/Sandstorm). If you can make something previous work, then do so.

now in a case of Sixshot, being one of only 4 (I think) 6-changers and between them they use 2 molds (1 repaint a piece) he would need to be completely unique from anyone save that actual repaint, who would work since they are supposed to share the body type. I would accept a combiner version cause that is totally cool and unique, but I'd prefer a new one that really does scream Sixshot. I think it more that they had to repaint the figures, but I don't think they were as creative as they could've been. I love combiners, so I welcomed it, but I would have been happier with them if they were something we hadn't had before, like #predatorscombineftw, or any other combiner we've mentioned on this thread >:oP

Looks to be that completed Computron prototype mold complete with new hands and feet, as well as retooled Air Raid into Strafe and the Streetwise mold used as Lightspeed.

Haha, yeah he's pricey. Just gotta put a little back each pay. I was just poking fun anyway.

I'm not sure how I feel about Computron. I'll reserve judgement until we see a finished combiner but right now all I see is Superion.
