I'm so glad I kept all mine. I'd imagine Titan packaging is, albeit to a lesser degree, as well. I do kind of regret tossing my boxes for Fort Max and Trypticon (I have kept all the others), but not enough to go back and purchase just the empty boxes again. I'd definitely purchase a UW eHobby Grand Scourge Box (since mine came loose), and I was fortunate to get it complete with all accessories for a decent price, I cant imagine trying to get one now.

I’d wished I’d carved more art off the boxes. The main reason Titan boxes go in the trash.... there’s no packaging to secure them unless you re-tie. Same reason I didn’t keep a lot of my Takara Galaxy Force boxes.

If they got trays or inserts it’s a harder call. Kept all my constructicon boxes so far

Yeah, there were only six Decepticons (Combatrons in Car Robots) since they were just a Predacon subfaction in that series.

I wish we would get some reissues. I would snag up Ruination to all but complete my RiD bad guys (despite Towline being my lone good guy!)

I think Grand Galvatron was the best original idea to come from the combiner era. That was so outlandish and cool

TT did rerelease Superion and Devaststor. A few Lynx Masters also showed up again late (but not sure if that was an actual rerelease, or just old stock found). I love having Grand Galvatron, and Grand Convoy, a reissue would be nice for any that missed them the first time.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

The only bad thing is that despite Silverbolt's later mold variants Cyclonus and Scattershot featuring the Combiner Head joint fix, the reissue does not have that! :BANG_HEAD:
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

You may be wondering why I'm bumping up this thread, and with a KO on top of that.

Well, if I'd post in a new thread in the 3P forum, the post would be completely ignored. I want the CW fans to be aware of what I'm about to show you.

Relatively recently, they made a KO MP-10 that is voyager sized. Some times later, his trailer came out separately. The KBB MP-10V trailer is fairly cheap. It come with roller and a Sam minifig.

Image

My CW obsessive friend wanted to complete his CW Optimus Prime with a trailer. The KBB MP-10V was the right call because with only a very minor mod...

Image

Replacing the original trailer hitch with just a screw of the right length who is resting there between the plastic plates...

Image

You get PERFECTION! All wheels of the trailers rolls perfectly flat and the Optimus truck is just the right size.

Image

Image

Image

As for the original connector, I keep it stuffed in a mini Ziplock bag, stuffed inside the cavity of that thing. Just in case.

Image

So, what do you think? Pretty neat, eh?

Well, not that trailer. I could make some trailer that would split in many components to make a "super mode". But's it's been done to death before so I'll pass.

Still, I did built a new original combiner torso using PotP Hung Gurr as a base. There's no dragon left in this! Once I get the four PotP Wreck Garr that go with him and repro them, I'll share in the custom thread. This one will be a doozy!

Seeing as this thread has risen from the dead, I wanted to get some thoughts from you all on selling off some CW figures that I've re-purposed using toyhax sticker sets.

The biggest question I have is whether it is worth it to try and sell them as their re-purposed figures or pull the stickers off and sell them as their original selves. I'm leaning towards peeling the stickers off, but figured I'd see what every else thought.

I have the following I will probably be selling off in October/November (after 1 last combiner battle royal once God Neptune arrives).
Nova Prime from Battle Core Prime
X-Tinguisher (alternate option of Exhaust) from Wheeljack
The Fallen from Trailbreaker
Smolder from Ironhide

All of them except the Fallen would be easy to return to original. The Fallen does have a faceplate that needed to be glued on. I used the tiniest dot of super glue that I could, but I expect that the faceplate will likely break and a small bit may stay attached.

Anyway, any thoughts on what would be better from a perspective buyer's viewpoint would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone is specifically interested in the re-purposed figures, let me know and I'll reach out when I'm closer to selling them off.

I think you should go ahead and try to sell them as the repurposed figures. Depending on the price of them, I would be interested, seeing as how I currently have BC Prime and Overbite right now together, and you have 3 limbs potentially available.

I think you should sell them with the stickers on. Include all the original accessories. Then list them as the repurposed name AND as their original name. Leave the choice to remove the stickers to the buyer. Start the auction at 20$ a figure and see how it goes.

I've been doing the same thing, started with Titans Return and now moving on to Combiner Wars. However, I'm most likely going to sell my figures in lots instead of individually. I've been finding it harder to list them than I did the TR figures. May be because I liked how they were portrayed in the IDW comics.

Yeah, it has been weird to put up a bunch of combiner sets and bots since CW/UW is what drew me back into collecting. Some unexpected expenses forced my hand on this batch, but I'm actually kind of glad to let most of these go. Most have been sitting in a bin for at least the past 2 years while WFC and the movie lines are holding my attention currently.

Time to let someone who has the room and time enjoy them, and pay off some bills along the way.

I know what's gonna happen. People get rid of their CW/UW/etc. combiner now, and in a few years, people will start begging Hasbro for new versions of the combiners all over again. 8-}

Not this person at least, I'm only getting rid of guys that weren't original combiners, and that we have better non-combining figures since CW/UW. The OG combiners and the newcomers (Victorion, Megatronia) are safe with me. Orthia gets to stay because there are no other options for the limbs and as meh as the Voyager Elita-1 mold is, it still beats out the Netflix deluxe for me.

I got all 3 along with double dipping on CW Computron. Of those 4, UW Grand Galvatron, UW Sky Lynx and CW Computron are up for auction.

I'm keeping the better UW Computron and don't really care about Scrounge, so the CW set was the one to go.

I've already seen people asking for new ones on other sites, and yes it's painful to read. I get not wanting to pay $300-$400 for some UW sets, but remaking them all over again is too soon. I honestly thought it would never happen, and am glad to have them all, I still want unreleased characters using the same system. It's not perfect, but it is nice for building an army of combiners.

But because it's impossible, he make do with a whole army of customised combiners. All made by yours truly. 8)

Well I'm already Combiner obsessed, can I be your friend too? ;) . Also if God Neptune counts, it will be 5 years in and still getting new toys using the same system. Hopefully in the next 5 years we get what is missing from the Original Series, plus some new surprises, not just re-releases (looking at you TT). Sadly, I'm not imaginative enough to allow customs into my collection. The 4 Botcon Ratchets are my Holy Grail, though if I ever do get any unpainted ones, I'm going to need to hire someone to help paint them.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

I know the feeling, after so many years of Aaron Archer saying "No" to combiners, it's like John Warden and Friends took note of everything Archer and Friends said "No" to (Combiners, Headmasters, Sky Lynx, Headmaster Arcee, Pretender Shell toys, etc.) and decided to say "Yes" to all of them (to varying receptions).

All very true. I was still collecting at the time of Energon, and thought at the time, those Combiners would be the closest we would ever get (not that they were bad toys, just not exactly what I wanted). Then I sold my entire collection in 2007, never intending to look back.

I got my son random toys here and there as he got older, then when the Prime Abominus sent went on clearance at Target back in 2013, I got it for my son and he loved it, and was, in time, broken beyond repair. But it sparked in me a wish, that I had no idea would be realized only a couple later. The Battle Core Combiners I admit had me scared though. While they have retroactively gained some praise, they just weren't what I wanted.
