Got mine from Target as well. Glad I saw this article this morning, I usually miss out like when they appeared on Wal-Mart's site. Question though, are all signs pointing toward these classic limb bots being only available online? If not, at least this saved me the gas money trying to drive around and looking for them, like the wave two deluxes... Still cannot find any and someone found wave 3 deluxes in my area already.

Because this is a limited release I went with Target. 5% off and free shipping. Not as good as what might be available from HTS in a month or two, but there's still a chance HTS won't get any stock if us collectors move on it quickly through everyone else. And even if HTS does get Quickslinger, it will probably sell out instantly. Still hope I can get Ultra Magnus via a good sale through HTS this summer. Although I might go with Target for that, too.

I'm gonna be that guy, cause it's buggin me.

Mirgae's holograms? No. That would be Hound, who wasn't part of that combiner. Mirage was, and his "power" is invisibility.

While you are technically correct, tf wiki describes it as "mirages illusion powers" in their description of the episode "masquerade". Thats where I got my info from totally forgot hounds hollograms. If it bothers you here that much, e-mail tfwiki and tell em to change it.

Quickslinger and Brake-Neck are internet exclusives for major stores as well as available via Diamond to comic book and collector stores as they purchase product through them. But I'd expect markups at those places.

An illusion isn't specifically the same thing as a hologram.

Okay, the nerd in me needs to clarify:

I realize BBTS said 10 AM EST, but they mean 10 AM EDT. That's what happened last night, they went live 12 AM EDT. I'd hate for someone to miss out by being off by an hour. :-B

If anyone tried to get them from BBTS last night...man was the website slow. I thought it was going to crash and it took 3 tries to get through an order for (1) Quickslinger. Now I'm sorry I stayed up and even bothered as I just ordered a complete set of the 2 for $36.10 from Target when Quickslinger alone cost me almost $25 shipped from BBTS. I also got (1) Brake-neck from Walmart that's coming site to store. Funny how the tax on site to store shipping is less then if I had purchased directly from store. All together I spent roughly $75 bucks for (2) complete sets...works for me. I just have to play the waiting game now. :BANG_HEAD:

BBTS's site is being a it funky with the listings. One refresh, they're available, the next they're sold out, a few later, available again. Needless to say, I helped myself to one each. If they refund it so I can wait until 10, that's fine. I'll try again then.

Just wondering, there was that statement about Brakeneck and Quickslinger not being made available in Australia. But what about the rest of the world? So far, the distribution of these two toys is only in the states and if you want to purchase them, you have to buy them from a US website and pay the international shipping. I don't see how australia differs from the rest of the world in that way or how any non american has a greater advantage in getting these than an Australian.
These are not available in Canada either on toysrus' website or Walmart's so I am wondering if that's the case with every other walmart and toysrus site in the world.

So I tried to buy Brake-Neck promptly at 10:00am and as I attempted to process the order it gave me an error and told me to try again.

I made it through the entire process during my second attempt and before everything was all fine and dandy, I saw that my account was now charged for 2 Brake-Necks instead of one. Not sure how that happened but I immediately contacted support and let them know that I only wanted one figure.

I hope they can manage it quickly before they all officially sell out but I'm glad to see the figure is so readily available in other places.

Just curious, are you buying from BBTS because you are outside the US? Because it seems Target and Toysrus dont give much of a headache.

The TF wiki page actually highlights this about 2 thirds of the way down the page in the Continuity Notessection:
Mirage can project a hologram of Menasor's face. This runs contrary to his usual schtick, which is invisibility. His original bio described him as being able to create "the illusion of a different appearance" for up to six minutes, but this is the only time it pops up in the cartoon (presumably because holograms were Hound's gimmick... though per the bio, Hound's great power is to create maps, and simple images on rare occasions.)

That was fast. Still, no free shipping, and I have no reason to spend $50 right now. If Ultra Magnus was available that might have worked, but alas, no Magnus yet. At least Target should have Quickslinger shipped to me by June 1.

When I went on BBTS last night and found out they were already sold out, I didn't take a chance with trying to get one at 10AM. I ended up getting them from Entertainment Earth.

I prefer BBTS, but I felt like they kind of dropped the ball on this one by not offering preorders, so they lost a sale in this case. No big deal though. :D
