He's got Cybertron Defense Scattorshot's altmode, so that coupled with the already-released Hot Shot and people's desire for a Cybertron Defense Red Alert from Doubledealer would make Scattorshot a fitting reuse of Impactor's mold.

IF they made a CD Red Alert, I would actually go back and get Hot Shot. I don't really have a desire to get the selects one if they don't commit to the whole trio

Even if we some day get a more 'proper' CD Hot Shot I'm still okay with using the SELECTS Hot Shot...as his base form. Simply put, Hot Shot's other designs overlap way too much with modern!Bee or Hot Rod. As a blue offroad vehicle he's got a bit more of a style of his own, you know? I just imagine it as some douche bag's custom 4x4 customized for offroad racing.

Still totally fit Hot Shot's archetype while making him distinct from the space race car of Hot Rod.

I agree with this, and I do like the looks of CD Hot Shot, but I have the original Galaxy Force one, so I wasn't too keen to get this new one, again unless they commit to the trio (I love CD Red Alert's design a lot, it's one of my favorite toys/designs/transformers)

They should've realized that if you were going to attach a part to the back of the foot, the ankle needs to shift back slightly for proper balance. Although the feet on Piranacon doesn't look that bad as opposed to the POTP figures.

Right nothing *wrong* with the feet themselves... I just see where.. .structurally w/o a forward/back tilt (or a *shudder* ball joint) how the fits back there effectively *do* anything. Unless you're leaning him way back...

I would want a slide joint on the ankle that moves the peg back and secures the hand to the foot.

Got the last two Seacons today and finally completed Pirranacon.

Gotta say. he's pretty unstable. The legs slide out and turn too easily. Ironically the shoulder connectors are so tight I had trouble putting his left arm in.

I did figure out that if you mount his gun like G1 Megaton's - via a peg in the shoulder rather than holding it via the hand - he can actually point it straight out. The weight distribution still causes him to fall over. I'll try adding some clear nail polish to the loose joints and see if that helps.

Still, I think he's definitely one of the best combiners looks-wise. No regrets here! If this is the last new combiner we get (minus God Neptune) I think the gimmick has ended on a high note.

Thanks to 【公式】トランスフォーマー情報局 on Twitter, we have some new images of the upcoming Transformers Generations Selects God Neptune figure to share with you today. These new images show off God Neptune in his combined mode glory, and one picture even pits this mighty new addition to the modern combiner era against his greatest foe: Masterpiece Lio Convoy! We see that MP-48 Lio Convoy is a little big in comparison to God Neptune, but this is to be expected for a retail generations figure against a masterpiece figure.

God Neptune is currently in the pre-order stage, and is set to arrive in October of this year, just over 4 months away, so get your pre-orders in for this guy and prepare your Beast Wars Maximals for this mighty new threat to their War.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

Initial render were very chalky and ugly but seeing it now, God Neptune's white color is a lot more pleasing than those early renders, which looked all discolored and fugly.

No, I don't see much if any difference, but that's okay, if people like the set more for these new photo's, then that's all that matters ;)^
I am not a G1 fan, please treat my opinions as such.

The whites in earlier photos looked more like siege apeface white plastic to me... But my glasses might have needed a clean.

Actually I think it might be the backgrounds used for each set of photos that is playing the tricks on our eyes. The first set of photos use a stark white background while the second set has a more off-white or shadowy background.

At a first quick glance, to me they did look different, but if I really focus and look at just the white parts in each photo they look the same.

Sometimes, different lighting is all it takes for a figure to look more/less flattering. Sometimes you get something which looks hideously neon or discolored in renders or stock photo but then you hold it in your hands or see it in a different lighting set up and go 'huh this is actually not bad at all'.

Yeah, it's kind of growing on me, but I'd still prefer the six-member G1 Seacon team. Now I'm really starting to regret waiting, because all the major retailers are out of stock...

The Deluxe size of the Lio Convoy works best with the Combiner.

New Images of Transformers Generations Selects God Neptune with Robotmasters Lio Convoy

Thanks to a heads up from Seibertronian RacerCheetor and the Takara Twitter page, we have even more images to share with you today of the highly anticipated Generations Selects God Neptune.

These new images show us the new combiner with the Robotmasters Lio Convoy, who himself was deluxe sized. Compared to the previous images with the masterpiece Lio Convoy, the Robotmasters Lio Convoy scales a whole lot better, and it gets really entertaining since God Neptune can totally pick Lio up and swoosh him around. Robotmasters Lio will definitely work well with the new Generations God Neptune.

God Neptune is currently up for widespread pre-order for around $185 USD, and is expected to arrive in mid October of this year. He is a repaint/retool of the recently completed King Poseidon minus Lobclaw and with the addition of some new tooling for Scylla.

As someone who has owned almost every Combiner Wars figure et al. including Piranacon, I am EXTREMELY skeptical that those combined-mode shoulders are that strong.

First Look at Possible Transformers Generations Selects Hubcap

Postby william-james88 » Sun Jun 07, 2020 11:04 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
We thank Wireless_Phantom for letting us know of a post on Twitter from ARCTIC_ST0RM who posted a photo of two yellow Transformers using the Earthrise Cliffjumper mold. The one face up has the Hubcap headsculpt. There was a rumour for Hubcap (and Bumblebee) and this seems to be the it. This toy should end up being relreased thorugh the Generations selects line, which has been non exclusive for the most part (meaning several retailers sell these toys online). For those wondering who Hupcap is, this was a G1 toy that was also a yellow redeco of Cliffjumper with a new head (and no spoiler in the back). We included some images of Hubcap below if you want to see more of that odd and confusing G1 toy.
