What are you talking about? The Hero Mashers figure was the first, last, and only instance of the "Autobot Heatwave" Trademark. The first toy to ever bear the name at all was the Fun Pub SG Decepticon and his toy was just "Heatwave". There has never been another toy to bear the "Autobot Heatwave" name since all other Heatwave toys have been of the Rescue Bot whose on-package names have been "Heatwave the Fire-Bot", "Heatwave the Rescue Dinobot", "Elite Rescue Heatwave" or other such variations but never "Autobot Heatwave".

The "Autobot Heatwave" name was exclusive to the Hero Mashers toy.

Does Hasbro have a trademark for just "Heatwave"? I'm doubtful, it looks like the TM always follows the full title of the Heatwave figure. As you said, it was the wrong Heatwave. If they had put the right Heatwave in this box it still would have been "Autobot Heatwave." This is Hasbro thinking they were protecting the name of the character. Hasbro doesn't have to use trademarked names if they don't want to, just look at SS and Cyberverse "Shockwave" (no TM) and Siege "Decepticon Shockwave TM" all released at the same time. Hasbro couldn't use just "Heatwave" alone without using "Autobot Heatwave TM" somewhere first. After the Hero Mashers figure came out they probably could have started releasing Rescue Bots figures with just "Heatwave" on the box.

I can now confirm I have a charge, probably Hubcap, though with 3 other things through pulse scheduled to be coming right now at the same price, hard to say for certain until my shipping notice arrives.

If you check your orders on Pulse, the option to cancel will disappear when they charge you for a figure. That's how I confirmed it was Hubcap.

Yep you're right, it is my Hubcap that was charged.

Pulse REALLY needs a different order tracking page. It is so hard to scan through my orders and view them. Look at Amazon or TFsource please, it's so much neater that way

Wolfman Jake wrote:Also, I don't understand the confusion over Rodimus Unicronus. It's a G1 Rodimus Prime corrupted by Unicron. This is supported by the bio printed on the box, by the related media featuring the toy, and by everything Hasbro has said about the toy. It happens to be colored like and have a new face modeled after (but not precisely copied from) that of Shattered Glass Rodimus. Like Tenacious D said, it's "only a tribute." The same goes for Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime. It's a new G1 Optimus Prime toy that's an homage to Cybertron Optimus Prime. Easy distinction. I'd say the line is "thinner" with that juxtaposition than with Rodimus Unicronus and Shattered Glass Rodimus, as we have no bios on the box for Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime, nor any media use of that design yet. The core Voyager Class robot inside is featured in the new IDW continuity, but I don't think the added armor pieces have yet. (Please correct me if I am wrong in that regard.)

This is correct, the Optimus in the main Transformers comic is designed like the inner Voyager for the Siege Leader-class Prime.

I got charged for Bug Bite today so I'm hoping he ships in a week, that's what happened with Rotorstorm who should arrive this coming week.

I've been charged ~$19.99 by HasbroPulse today, so I hope it's Hubcap for me as well. It's hard to say, because I had bundled him in my shopping cart with Greasepit and Exhaust, so my order reads as "partially" fulfilled. Rotorstorm, however, is out for delivery today, so I should have him by the time I get home later tonight. :)

New English Video Review of Transformers Generations Selects Deluxe Class Bug Bite

Postby ZeroWolf » Fri Sep 11, 2020 11:37 am

Weapon: Battle Blades
Greetings Seibertronians! Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, Thundertron, we've learned that YouTube toy reviewer, Kremzeek Reviews has uploaded a video review of the forthcoming Transformers Generations Selects Deluxe Class Bug Bite!

This toy is a character that started life out as a Go-Bot (the once rival toyline and cartoon that challenged Transformers in the 1980s), the character was revived in Transformers as an E-Hobby exclusive redeco of G1 Bumblebee. FunPub would then redeco Classics Bumblebee for their Classics Bug Bite that was part of their Games of Deception 2007 BotCon set.

This version of the character is a redeco of Transformers Earthrise Deluxe Class Cliffjumper, but using Bumblebee's head.

We have embedded the review below for your convenience:

What do you think of this character? Have you preordered your copy of Bug Bite? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Just go to your orders page, there will be 2 tells that should confirm it is Hubcap. I also ordered him with Greasepit and Exhaust and that order indicated "Partially Paid" until this morning, now it simply says "Paid". The other tell is looking at that order, the option to cancel a specific figure on the order will disappear once they charge you. Hubcap should have no option to cancel anymore.

So the faction that Bug Bite belongs to why now? Based on the figures (Classics and G1 repaints) we've had and even in the comics shown we see the :CON: symbol. Now I clearly don't know the lore involved so if someone would care to educate me that would be great.

Needless to say I will still brand both Bug Bite and Exhaust as :CON: but that's just me...'nuff said on that! ;)^ :VEHI:

Hasbro probably just wanted to reimagine him as a Mercenary since the original Bug Bite wasn't even originally a Decepticon to begin with; he was a Renegade, one of the bad guys from Tonka's GoBots toyline.

He's not even a Bumblebee repaint so I'd have to give him an autobot symbol and have him as Bumper. If they do treads it would be the first two mercs to be in the same company so the merc symbol wouldn't bother me unlike on the other unaffiliated mercs (but only if they had used a bee redeco).

Maybe that is the real ethos behind the Selects line? To reproduce every single redeco HasTak have ever thought of. Since not every mold is ever going to see the light of day again, regardless of line IE Browning and Kiloton.

With Exhaust and the whole Mercenary faction, I created a Mercenary shelf, with Exhaust and Doubledealer starring there. Bugbite will join the shelf when he arrives

Speaking of Mercs, the orange Shadow Raider would work very well I think for a G1 Merc shelf, with Lockdown using a different mold like the ROTF mold it would make Shadow Raider more distinct.
