Meh . . . I probably need to go on a diet anyway.

Still makes me bummed that we never saw a G1 toy Gestalt set at BotCon (or other convention) featuring BWII "Nautilator" alongside G1 versions of Rook, "Blast Off", Alpha Bravo and Offroad. Now that would have been an amazing set. Ah, one day!
Oh, now I wish that Generations Selects would do some G1 toys too. Specifically a combiner with BWII "Nautilator" as the Targetmaster, the other 4 as limbs for an Optimus-themed repaint of G1 Motormaster to serve as G1 Optimus Maximus Actually, I would probably buy it despite not collecting G1 toys just because of the ludicrousness and borderline blasphemous nature of it
Wow, I hadn't thought of a G1 Motormaster as Optimus Prime before. That would be pretty awesome. I'd love some retroactive G1 toys as their Combiner Wars selves. Optimus would make a great addition, especially in a gift set with the other figures to give those characters their proper G1 toys. Heck, with the Motormaster mold we'd even get a Roller mini figure as well for the "Optimus Maximus" chest piece. Any of this would be something fun to see done with this brand!
Latebrus-K wrote:So... I think i might be priced out of King Poseidon. I know a tremendous amount of effort went into him, but 3x the price of a standard combiner is just mental. And yes, I just bought a Titan Class figure (tied with his original deco for my most expensive single Transformer) but that has a tremendous impact and presence that King Poseidon sadly will not... despite being twice as expensive. For the hefty price, I would have hoped for some more detailed deco, as well. The colored images make the seacons feel very much like stock retail figures, and Gulf's robot mode has a similar color distribution to Rippersnapper. Y'know... the limb that was 10USD on Amazon a while back?
I really wanted to get behind this guy, but it's just not happening.
EDIT: For clarification, I'm triggered by the level of unpainted detail, especially on Turtler. Within 24 hours of buying Hun-Gurrr, I did this so I wouldn't feel disappointed every time I looked at him.
Obviously, when a figure's as rarexpensive as these, it's a much different proposition. My brushwork unreliable at best, so there would be a huge chance of making some mistake, some paint rubbing off, etc etc. And there would be no practical way to replace the figures, having already tremendously overspent to get them!

Obviously we missed it, you made a new thread. No one would get notification of that. If you want to make sure the news staff takes notice, you have to contact us directly. We have a submit news button at the top of the sight just for that, please use it next time.

Selects are TTM exclusives in Japan.bvzxa wrote:So its it a Selects exclusive or a TT Mall exclusive?

What difference does it make? It will still be an expensive online exclusive regardless.

Quite a big difference if Star Convoy is any indication. Pulse - $79.99, TFSourse - $94.99. I'll take a $15 savings.

Seacons Pre-Order
Gulf $35
Turtler $60
I'm still going to wait to see if Pulse gets them. It appears BBTS only has them separately, no 2-pack option.
william-james88 wrote:Gulf is sold out so waiting for Pulse (or elsewhere) becomes the only option anyway.
I will simply wait patiently until a boxset is released down the road or something. These prices are just too unapealing, no matter how cool the retooling is.

Wow that was fast! Under an hour. I'm sure they'll probably open up more pre-orders, but yeah, other sites will have options, this was just the first.
Will- You of all people know how excited I'd be, especially for a UW styled Box Set. I think if this were to happen, it would be announced sometime before the first ones actually become available to ship, otherwise many fans would be pretty ticked off. There's still time of course, I'm patiently waiting as well.
*edit* at the moment, something fishy is going on...links to these items are broken....
