Lancer has a lot more going for it than any of the other selects figures, so its no surprise. Most of selects are niche redecos while this one is actually something you need to complete a combiner made up of some retail toys every collector has. I dont think there is as mighty a need for a galactic man shockwave.

Red Swoop & Ricochet are needed figures to complete combiners as well, despite the fact that they are floppy messes....

To be fair lancer is a dedicated member of the Orthia combiner, those two are just limbs for hire

We both know they dont matter on the same level as Lancer, I dont really see any point in arguing this. lancer is the only selects figure I went out of my way to order, that definitely says something.

My apologies. I'm not arguing, just trying to express my frustration over Hasbro's inconsistency with respect to availability of certain items. If those comparisons aren't logical to you, then certainly the continuing availability of Greenlight should make sense. (In that it doesn't make sense, why there are still plenty of her, and seemingly no Lancers until a few months from now, and only from third party retailers...)

In fact it's pretty illogical altogether. Either make them BOTH Amazon exclusives, or BOTH Selects figures. Having them offered two different ways (especially as you all say, fans are trying to complete a team here) adds to the frustration.

The retailer of choice for Lancer (and several generations selects as I have said in the past) is Entertainment Earth, its the retailer that has replaced Toysrus for Hasbro, and Lancer is as available there as Greenlight is on Amazon.

That is a pre-order though, just like all the other sites. HP had it available, sold out, and shipped weeks ago, and EE had it for sale at SDCC. Trust me, I'm not concerned about *not* getting it at all, I know it will be available in time. My question is, why only have a *few* to throw out to the masses early, to cause frustration, scalping etc... and wait until months later to release the rest? I know it's happened in the past, (thinking back to the poor fans that missed out on TR Arcee and Grotusque in the short window they were avaialable) but it is still a poor business tactic.

Fair Enough. I'm glad you are able to avoid pics of fans who have their Complete Orthia's and not feel even the slightest bit envious, or go on eBay, and shake your head in frustration at $40-$60 Lancers....I think I'm just having a *Case of the Mondays*. This would probably be a bad time to mention that I ordered not one but two Lancers from Hasbro Pulse and received them weeks ago, right? Yeah, I thought so. I'll not mention it, then!

No worries at all. You had good timing/favorable circumstances plain and simple. I was able to get in on the short window TR Grotusque came out, and got TR Arcee eventually when TRU.com had it.

It's just that I *thought* Pulse was going to be different in that items would be more readily available, no more of those *blink and you'll miss it* type items. I was wrong, c'est la vie. I'll get it eventually when all the other online retailers get it.

I haven't really posted here in awhile. Anyways it's not really "news" Per say, but recently shipments out of Vietnam have had quite a bit of Selects products on them. Almost all the figures have been known. This is the first time we have seen Cromars Hasbro product number though. There is also 1 Mystery figure. It's simply just labeled as "Generations selects Action figure" and Has the Product code E8379 which is new and doesn't match any "officially" revealed Figures. It Easily could just be the leaked Hotshot figure. No other info is given on the figure, No quantity and no name to identify who the figure is. It's weird though because the rest of the shipping manifest list the others info.

Also note this is just One shipment, so don't freak out about the quantities of each figure. This shipment just happens to have More Cromars on it than anybody else.

Anyways Onto the manifest.

Galactic Man Shockwave is Hasbro Product number E8292 and ships in cases of 16.

As for who Is WFC-GS04 my guess would be Hotshot. Only because I think Cromar is going to be later number.
If it's neither Hotshot or Cromar, It could be anybody.

My current guess is that Cromar is GS09, since Zetar's page calls him out as the second Siege Powerdasher, Hot Shot is either GS04 or GS10, and whichever number is left is a mystery. I've no idea who it'll be though, outside of an evil Optimus repaint (Nemesis, SG, Toxitron, pick one) or Guidi's Deadlock from Springer. For the releases to be balanced it needs to be another , assuming the numbers don't go past GS10.

So...we know Aragon comes in the Amazon 3-Pack, and Zetar is up for pre-order now as a Selects Release. How is Cromar being released? --Just curious since he seems to be the highest quantity of that initial shipment.

Also the *order by 8/27* date for the Seacons has passed on Hasbro Pulse, but they are still there...I wonder what the point of that was?

I preordered both Zetar and Nightbird. Not gonna lie, I hear 'Zetar' and I think of 'the Lights of Zetar', and old Star Trek TOS episode.

As for Nightbird... is it just me, or is this mold starting to become this generation's version of the Classics '06 Seeker mold?

I'd say wait until tomorrow before you start the head scratching. It's only just August 27 as of today. The preorders might be open until 11:59 PM tonight, like how the Unicron funding campaign gives us until the actual last minute on the 31st.

I was thinking of how many times it's been reused, but yeah. The Siege Seeker mold is definitely more apt. At least the one Nightbird is using has remolded parts to it!

I'll gladly take a few more at this point to round out the obscure "background" characters from Season 1 of the original cartoon, like Sunstorm (orange), Hotlink (purple), Bitstream (teal), and Nacelle (navy blue). I figure Sunstorm could be a Selects release and Hotlink, Bitstream, and Nacelle could be a "Welcoming Committee" 3-pack exclusive like the "Rainmakers" at Target currently. That would effectively replace all of my '06 Seekers in my collection, except for the Coneheads, G2 Starscream, and Action Master Thundercracker.

Honestly, if I were designing Transformers, I wouldn't even make a Decepti-Jet without knowing how I was going to approach Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. You just know the fans will want them if you make ANY of the other three.

For earth jets, sure, but these are cybertronian and as far as I know the coneheads only ever appeared on earth.
