^ I mean I tried to look online to see if it was *code* for something else. I found nothing, unless its an internal term Hasbro Pulse uses exclusively.

*edit* OK, so I called Pulse, just for my own edification.

Apparently *Submarine* payment is what happens when you pre-order multiple items that have different shipping/release dates (exactly what I did). The original order has to be *cancelled* and then *Submarined* (I would think parceled would have been a simpler term but whatever).... so you are not charged the whole amount, and you get the items as they are released.

I'm glad for this system, its just an odd little thing. Oh well.

Nightbird and Zetar got delivered a little while ago. I have to say, I'm impressed with Nightbird. The paint job/deco is amazing and looks great.



Definitely an improvement over Moonracer and especially the slightly simplified Greenlight/Lancer. The backpack is much better and I don't see any negatives form lacking a combiner peg. Even though there is still some big chunks on the legs, it's still an improvement to move them higher up and to the back. They come off as some type of turbo boosters for quick dashes.

The car mode is all kinds of sexy Vehicon Batmobile. Again, an improvement over the Moonracer mold.



She does have a few negatives. The hips and thigh swivels are a little loose, but not to the point where she can't hold a pose. She also shares the same issue Chromia has with her panty drawers falling off. I may have to permanently glue those on. Having the vestigial second waist/crotch swivel isn't helping matters.

Overall quite pleased and happy with Nightbird

Man I'm loving this figure, so much paint. Almost all black surfaces are painted, silver on the shins, chest and shoulders, purple torso with yellow accents and the weapons have a splash of color.

Articulation is a little limited in the legs, but the fenders can be moved around a bit. As pictured, I only do stoic A poses anyway The collar does hard limit the crazy amount of available neck movement as well.

Has anyone ever noticed the rear wheels seem like they are on backwards? Even though the wheels are mostly obscured in alt-mode the hollow inside just peeks out a bit.



They look good in bot mode, so I'm considering trying to flip them around. Also afraid of breaking my new play pretty

You should see how much work it is to fix them, only for them to **** up again.

Decided to free Zetar and give him a spin. Really nice and fun deco and the drill is just great. His face is so funny and friendly looking.

If you've got Jetfire (and if you don't, you're dead to me) use his blast effects on him. They work great on Brunt as a Super Saiyan power up, they'd look just as good on this guy.

The Gobot face is what sold me. They were great even if they were a little doofy, adorably doofy. Because of the price, I had way more Gobots than Transformers.

Yes, and its quite annoying.

Super annoying and it really pisses me the F off on a toy that sure as hell wasn't cheap. I like the transformation and bot mode look but I am not impressed by the overall toy.

I don't have a dingy, we checked and made sure we were above flood level before we bought the house. We just have a lot of hills to get over to get to the stores.

Just got my Nightbird figure.

Her robot mode is actually quite nice, and her alt-mode looks very slick, thanks to all that glossy black paint.

Mine did come with a couple of issues. Her bicep swivels were both rather loose and wanting to pop off. It looked like the rod coming from the shoulder was just a hair too wide for the socket on the upper arm (maybe from the added layer of paint?), and her right shoulder rod had a quarter-millimeter of sprue flashing sticking out. After lightly sanding down the whole thing and adding just a drop of Krazy glue for friction, the problem seems to be solved.

Second issue, and the one I can't fix, is that her "grenades" don't want to attach to the posts on her neck rig where they're supposed to go in vehicle mode. They just won't stick on, no matter how much I fiddle with them. They look good popped into the 5mm ports near her front wheels, but it leaves the rear section looking even less complete than it already did. I'm not too fussed about it since she'll be displayed in 'bot-mode, but it is frustrating.

She isn't perfect, but I think I got my money's worth.

I'm now officially fully on board the Seacon hype, what with all the revealed Seacons on pre-order. It will cost an arm and a leg but I'm a sucker for beast modes and combiners.

Unfortunately some of the asymmetrical aspects of the mold are really limiting.

Question, would Zetar be in a top 5 drill vehicles list? Would he be on top or is that still reserved to Unite Warriors Nosecone?

Until I read Nosecone I couldn't even think of any other drillformers. Even though I've never handled UW NC, I'm going to give it to him because of his big honking ass drill. Zetar is kind of a half-assed goofbot at best. Still love the partsforming dunce cap wearing doofus though

I'm sure WJ88 has a list cookin' . Other than Original Nosecone, CW & UW, I don't know why but Cybertron Menasor comes to mind, I'm sure there's a slough of others, it's just drill bots aren't a high priority search in my brain
