Well it is brown, but it is a bit more decorative than your average Selects. I think they said it was either a 24 or 26 inch cube.

Big enough for a small person to fit in ;).

Kind of disappointed since the Haslab Sail Barge came in full color SW vintage style packaging IIRC

Re: Blackarachnia, I guess that proves that Mainframe were just as incompetent at scale as Sunbow.

blackeyedprime wrote:I'll not rehash the ways but I'll add a couple more things that I dislike about it:

The chest is too high making his head look out of place/too small even tho it isn't. Mine is displayed on a high shelf so that makes it even worse (good posing can fix it, but when a g1 figure that cant be posed looks good, a modern figure should look good before posing). I also like to display figures in alt mode next to my mps (my mp kos and official g1 reissues have literally cost the same or less than a wfc figure but rather than buying two kos I want toy and mp scale) but the car mode has issues too which may be fixable with stickers.
The chest proportion is about the same as the G1, but you're right that there isn't the same space between the upper cutout arch of the hood, and the head. I never really found the difference that noticeable. And to some people the G1 toy's chest might look to low (from some angles it ends up making Sideswipe look like he has an overly long neck).
Also, some of the cosmetic advantage of the G1 toys comes because they can't pose :P The designers were free to concentrate on looks without making allowances for things to bend.

blackeyedprime wrote:The crotch twist instead of a waist twist, people couldnt get over the below the waist twist on other figures -i'm like that with the swipe mold especially as it contributes to his Mr Men square block of a torso.
1. Given that the pelvis and abdomen are narrower than the hood-chest just like on the G1, I think what what really contributes to the square look of the torso is that (courtesy of the Sideswipe cartoon-accuracy focus, which you can also thank for the lack of shoulder wheels) the doors aren't mounted to his arms anymore. They're now combined with the roof and windshield, meaning that part stays as wide as the hood all the way down instead of it narrowing like it does on the original toy.
Image

See what I mean?
2. I kinda prefer the position of his pelvis swivel, myself. Because when you twist at the waist, the lower part of your pelvis moves more than the upper part, so it looks more natural to me. Does that help?

blackeyedprime wrote:Why I bought him? I dont have the classics version and from the ones I've seen the deco prints are really realllly bad. I wanted the figure looking different to my classics sideswipe/sunstreaker which are displayed in car mode. Also buying and having red alert in hand let me rethink and cancel the exclusive G2 swipe set with out me spending more to have the same complaints.
Ah, I see. Fair enough.
If you've already got Universe Sideswipe I think that would work just as well with ER Sunny. He'd be taller, yeah, but it would still be the two of them as distinct molds (as is proper), and he would seem to avoid some of your gripes with the SIEGE mold.

blackeyedprime wrote:positive thoughts on the ways that I dislike the red alert use more than sideswipe...could probably make some fake shoulder wheels utilising the 5mm ports and paint the unpainted cheaper looking white plastic to color match at some point.
What about going for G1 toy-accuracy by dyeing the thighs red and painting the arms silver (or chroming them outright with a Molotow pen)?

So has anyone else noticed that Greasepit has stickers? The gas station sign is a sticker, and the top of the shoulders that become the front windows of the gas station are also stickers.

While not ideal, at least they appear to be much better quality than what Hasbro used in Power of the Primes.

(My phone is acting stupid, I'll try to post some photos later.)

I just got Greasepit when the item was made available last week. Mine has further to travel, though interestingly, it states its in Los Angeles right now, about 7 hours drive away from me, but still has the arrival date of Wednesday 7/29. I'm hoping it comes a couple days sooner. I cant imagine what would cause it to take 5 days to travel a relatively short distance.

I want to connect all mu AIRLOCK TF's so far and see what kind of a it can make. I also finally pulled the trigger on TT Big Powered. The last TR/Legends leader I need, though to get all TR bases and all AIRLOCK bases together with Omega Supreme as the *bridge" is going to take some doing...not sure when Ill have time to get them all together and take pics of that.

My Exhaust and Greasepit arrived today. Exhaust I like more than Wheeljack already, and Greasepit is fun, but I prefer ironworks. Gonna need to make an airlock city here with the bots I have so far. It's fun to play around with the system

Exhaust and Greasepit look lovely.

Know who I think would have been a better UT homage choice for the SIEGE Hound mold? Energon Ironhide.

Still holding out hope for a Metroshot redeco of Six-Gun, here or elsewhere. If none is forthcoming, I'll buy an extra Six-Gun and make my own.

Can anyone comment on Exhaust's paint apps...why couldn't they keep the more bold and vibrant colors over the final product? Was there something more involved or was this a "ehhh what the hell" sort of thing? :VEHI:

I honestly didn't really notice, but that could be due to the lighting in my basement (and my crappy 40-something eyes).

I did notice that the first (and only?) figure to receive the mercenary faction logo was named "Decepticon Exhaust" for trademark reasons.

I know the Seacons are old news by this point, but it took this long for my Lobclaw and Kraken to arrive, so I'm just now putting together King Poseidon, and I need help.

Is Tentakil just an inherently unstable leg, or am I doing something wrong?

My Tentakil was also an unstable leg while combined with the rest of the Seacons, specifically due to the foot port not staying tabbed to the rest of the body, but I have since shifted Tentakil to be part of my Abominus and he seems to be functioning much better as a leg. I think it may be a combination of Tentakil and Snaptrap both having some issues, with Tentakil's leg mode not being the best design and Snaptrap's leg ratchets suffering juuust enough from the combiner lean to exacerbate Tentakil's instability.

....or 7 other members could comment after me saying their Tentakil's are fine as legs and we're just in the minority in terms of QC or both doing something wrong. There's no way of knowing without a larger pool of responses.

Weapon: Battle Blades
Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, Hokutron, has let us know that fellow Seibertron user and YouTube toy reviewer, PrimeVsPrime has uploaded a new video review of forthcoming Transformers Generations Selects Centurion and the weapon pack it comes with.

Centurion is a redeco of Siege Deluxe Class Weaponizer Brunt, now resembling drones seen in IDW’S Transformers Stormbringer graphic novel. The weapon pack is the first of its kind from Hasbro, containing add ons like Roller, Sideswipe's jet pack, Megatron's ball and chain weapon, and Ravage's cage!.

Check out the embedded review below:

What do you think of this toy? Have you preordered him? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

I feel the accessory pack itself would have went well with Optimus Prime. He's a Leader Class figure and the one most fans would want to buy, and the accessory pack would have not only completed the trailer but also encourage other fans to buy the other figures in the line. But of course, it's gotta go to an obscure repaint and online exclusive.
Action Figure Wishlist:

G1 Deadend, Wildrider, Breakdown w/Menasor fists, feet, waist, chest, mask, and weapons
POTP (Optimal Optimus, Rodimus Unicronus)
Titans Return (Topspin, Octone)
Cybertron Galvatron
Go! Hunter Optimus Prime
ROTF Mindwipe, Lockdown

We got the trailer with Optimus, now we get the rest as part of a pack. This + Leader Optimus - Centurion > $50. If you don't want to drop the extra money on this, then don't.

...why do people STILL think this pack is a Selects thing when it's been confirmed already that it isn't? This should be on the Earthrise thread, this set is WFC-E33.

That is technically accurate but he is sold in a Selects box and not standard WFC Earthrise packaging. Plus the figure itself is a straight repaint, not counting the accessories, and a Pulse exclusive. Seems like everything indicates him being a Selects figure other than his ID number, which I didn't even take notice of until now.

I still don't like that a lot of this stuff didn't come with Prime. And with the super small deluxes like Cliffjumper (compared to Hoist in the same line), they could have included some of those accessories to make up for the small size.

Maybe it would have felt more appropriate to pay for them separately if they were more detailed or articulate, but that unpainted jetpack really doesn't do it for me.

I was thinking of doing that. I want the parts for Prime, Megatron, and some of the smaller accessories, but the Ravage Cage, individual guns for BB, Cliff, Ironhide, Trailbreaker...I don't really need/want. Of course my son may commandeer them to other toys, so we will see

The other approach would be buying the pack and reselling the Centurion drone. I don't know how many IDW fans will be building armies, but I'm sure there will be some, and it's not like there's a lot of use for three Ravage cages.
