Fort max strayed from his g1 origins for base mode (dont give me that catalogue crap) and suffers for it to no end. Lets give Hasbro a break here and welcome them playing it safe for this particular instance.
For all those saying that they might as well buy the g1 toy (a worthwhile argument for Fort max), please note that the g1 Trypticon toy is not that great. Would definitely not be on a top 5 list of best base bots (umm... I havent written that list yet, maybe I should, and maybe I should wait for this guy to come out before).
This is my feeling. I'll wait and see how good or otherwise the base and land cruiser modes are, but I have a good feeling about this. I hope the base mode isn't 100% just the G1 toy's base mode, if only because that thing wasn't the most...convincing ever (though the small size didn't help) but at the same time it doesn't need to be completely different.
