You know, it's really weird that all of Hasbro's other brands have their exclusives and reveal pre-orders up on Pulse and there isn't a single new Transformer on there aside from the Three Zero figs. :???: Do we know when the Optimus and Megatron 2 pack is going up?

I think most of the non-exclusive preorders for new things go up tomorrow precisely at the one block of time where I have a meeting

Shockingly, yesterday my wife found Magmatron at our closest Target. I had already got it from Amazon. But after Armada Prime didn't show up at US retail, I didn't think Target was going to stock the bigger ticket items this year either. I wonder if they will get Tidal Wave after passing on Nemesis last year? :-?

They also had the united 4-pack. Still frustrating to see one toy that so many people want among a bunch of repaints.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

I would buy that set just to get Cliffjumper and Squeezeplay. Selling off Tarn and Tarantulas probably wouldn't be too difficult. Alas, when it comes to properly stocking, my Target is the drizzling shits.

Dinoking looks great, can't wait to pick that up.

I guess Sureshot got pushed back/cancelled again in favor of that Origin Bee repack, based on the spacebridge reveals? He was only ever a maybe pickup for me, but that's still kinda lame (unless Sureshot is now gonna be in that one Age of Primes wave that only had 3 Deluxes listed). Also I've seen it said that Evan confirmed at SDCC that Armada Wheeljack does not come with the Mini-Con, which makes no sense to me and is even more lame (probably still pick him up though).

Seems like not having the original figures might be a prerequisite for enjoying all the Legacy Unicron Trilogy updates, because so far I love all the ones I've picked up? I had Bendy Prime as a kid and eventually got an incomplete Energon Tidal Wave from a Goodwill, but that's the extent of the overlap between my UT figure experience and the Legacy UT update roster. Outside of both Starscreams and Core Energon Megs I own at least one version of all the Legacy UT updates (the fact that Armada Thundercracker is only happening as a Takara initiative is baffling to me), and sure most of them have little things I wish they did differently or didn't leave out (mostly Mini-Cons) but I absolutely would not call any of them "an abomination". Vector Prime no longer being saddled with a backpack that's as tall/long as he is is a massive win in my book, regardless of inaccurate limbs, and Jhiaxus is such a good mold that I got over caring about him being a retool instead of a new mold after about a minute.

I suppose this may also be a symptom of my "Screen-Accurate does not guarantee Good (and vice-versa)" mentality, as long as it looks enough like the character that it feels right I'm good. So far the only characters in Legacy that I've cared about that have failed that metric for me have been Knock Out, Lockdown, and Slipstream. I still got Knock Out in the hope he would look/feel better in hand, but it didn't work, so he lives in alt mode now for the foreseeable future.

I received my copy of Ferak today, although didn't get home until later this evening and will wait until at least tomorrow to open him.
From what I can see he looks incredible.
Not only do I love the Kingdom Cyclonus mold, his face sculpt and overall colors look really, really good.
Seems like this unexpected release is going to be a solid addition to my collection.

It's funny how people are suddenly now into Ferak when, back when the original BotCon toy was first unveiled in 2014, everyone and their mother thought it was the biggest waste of plastic Fun Pub had ever thought of up to that point.

I think we were just tired of the mold by that point. He was the 8th use of the mold between Hasbro and Takara Tomy, and the second time by Fun Pub. The mold was 6 years old, we were ready to move on.

Sometimes the idea for a toy can still suck while it is also nice to look at in-hand. These aren't mutually exclusive.

My TlDr review of the 4 L-U deluxes:

Lockdown, Cannonball, and Road Pig: All 3 have their fiddle factors when transforming due to their basic molds, but all 3 have amazing paint and sculp. I don't feel the need to Repro them up at all.

As for Filch, her colors are a bit plain and it's a shame she don't come with any blades or guns, but they were clever to turn a fault of the mold (the too easily detachable wings) into a play feature.

I remember the complaints being:
  • That it was a character so minor and obscure that barely anyone knew of him, and thus no one cared about him at all,
  • That the colors were all wrong, since they were based on a misinterpretation of the lighting in a low quality, thumbnail-sized image with faded, washed-out colors,
  • And that the mold chosen was too character-specific in its design to be used for anyone other than Cyclonus without any retooling in order to look convincingly enough like anyone other than "Cyclonus but white".

People complain about every figure that came out since ever. But like Emerje said; it was just overdone/used as a mould by then. Also seems those people u remember complaining were correct. A bit of retooling and it works now. I mean, that was pretty much the entire point of the TFCC, minor and obscure characters barely anyone knew of.

Ferak is very nice, I actually like him more than Cyclonus, even though the toy one is a wonderful looking toy on my lost light shelf and the OG Kingdom release sucks balls but stands with Galvatron II and Scourge on my Unicron shelf

I am gonna guess that anyone wanting a complete G2 Menasor, will need to buy a normal Motormaster as a make do stand-in/replacement. Or do you all think :HASBRO: or :TAKARATOMY: will find a viable way to release an actual G2 Motormaster?

Great news!

Now to luck upon it in store...

I am gonna guess that anyone wanting a complete G2 Menasor, will need to buy a normal Motormaster as a make do stand-in/replacement. Or do you all think :HASBRO: or :TAKARATOMY: will find a viable way to release an actual G2 Motormaster?

Much like Orthia, I think they will get there, though it is also possible that G2 Legacy Menasor may be the combiner that takes the longest to release

We have SS Devastator as a contender, but none can beat the original TFCC Nexus Prime that took 5 years :-P

SS Devastator was about 2 years, so yeah that one took a while. But G2 Menasor is already at 2 years, and 2 haven't been revealed yet and another is just a pipeline

Entire Walmart Exclusive Star Raider Line Found in Canada + Reviews

Postby william-james88 » Fri Aug 09, 2024 12:35 pm

Motto: "'till All Are One"
The entire Star Raiders line has been found at Walmarts across Canada. We've had sightings for different classes in different provinces for the past couple of weeks but now it seems they have reached saturation for all classes. That includes the Leader Thundertron multipack set, voyager Ferak and Deluxes Lockdown, Road Pig, Filch and Cannonball. You can check all the review.

You'll notice in the image that SS Springer is also there, here is a review for him as well, comparing him to the previous Springer toy.

If you have any news, rumours, or hot new sightings to report which you feel should be front paged,
