The long sought after release of the music for the original Generation One series is upon us and in limited quantities per "Enjoy the Ride Records" and it's only going to be released in LP format. That's right, you'll need a vinyl record player or turnstyle table to play it. Goin' old school as it were. Here are some details about it:

My question about a digital release was already answered, I'd love to have this even if I would never play it but the limited release puts it out of reach

Not quite the same as an official release, but for those seeking digital versions there are options available... This guy on YouTube seems to have a lot of the G1 soundtrack pieces in fairly robust quality:

Browse the videos to find the ones you like and illegally download then rip them to mp3 to whatever extent your evil, criminal hearts desire!

All 4 seasons have already been released online last year. It was some kind of kickstarter project. They were all remastered with the sounds and voices removed by some type of music production software. They sound great. No record required. I highly recommend.

And just to satisfy all the ethics hawks on here, I believe the kickstarter funds went to the production costs. No profit. Just a free download for all fans paid for by a small generous group of fans. So nobody should feel guilty about owning it.

That makes me wonder, cos the YouTube-guy I provided the link for seems to have random selections of only the first three G1 series and some dubious Transformers-related video game tracks. If you have another source with a more complete selection, I'd love to hear more about it!

So then where do you find these songs to download then?

Crap, I find out about this now? Ugh..
Are they gonna offer some digital downloads of this or what?
I've tweeted and emailed people about releasing this! It finally happens and I miss it..
Talk about a lack of publicity... how many of these did they make? 500... C'mon! *They made 1000.. should've done 10x this amount and limited multiple purchases more.
