I always feel like I should write an editorial about this because it keeps confusing me. Takara has stated at every given opportunity that their target audience is kids, which makes sense since we are talking about toys and Takara Tomy is a company that predominantly makes toys for kids. Their paint apps only reflect what the designers want to be passed on to the new generation. And Hasbro does the exact same thing but in a different perspective.
Why would a toy being so slavish to G1 toy accuracy, like CW Vortex, be any more or less desireable to 30 year old collectors than a toy being so slavish to the G1 show accuracy, like UW Vortex.
Why would G1 toy accuracy mean kids are marketed while G1 show accuracy mean collectors are marketed? That doesnt make a lick of sense. Both have decos made to attract collectors, based on something only they would know, while also being toys for kids.
The idea of Takara versions being for collectors, over the Hasbro versions, never had any bearings. And this unification is perfect proof of that (along with the fact that they dont even have an english language option on their site to give toy info to international collectors)

We already know that wont be the case since Takara revealed that their leaders will also have stickers, just like the Hasbro versions.

Honestly, if Takara ever cared about anyone outside Japan wanting their toys, they would at least have made their site have an english language option. The truth is they were always focused on just their market when it came to selling. A significant part of Takara's revenue instead, when it comes to Transformers, is Hasbro outsourcing engineering to them since day 1. They also own the toys/molds, hence why every toy is manufactured under license from Takara Tomy.
