It's like some kind of untold chapter of the Universe War, in which the Child of Primus Optimus Primal travels to an alternate universe where a tyrannical version of himself had conquered Cybertron either from or instead of Megatron.

Crazy hilarious multi-leveled fanfic grade headcanon 'what if' material: the people saying the black repaint Primal is evil have it wrong. He's not Optimal Optimus, he's BW Megatron pretending to be Optimus!

Hey if he could remake Primal's entire Optimal Optimus body for himself and graft his face who says that he can't just make a proper replica?

That said I could see a Shattered Glass Optimus Primal whose Optimal form has the season 1 colors (because SG has weird colors by default, so instead of going from a sane and normal colorscheme he goes from looking funky to eventually looking normal). Thus, Shattered Glass Primal goes back to Cybertron, either because he won or because he got taken back as a prisoner and escaped...but rather than turn the world into a mindless husk inhabited by drones he turns into some techno-organic robo-barbarian kingdom which he rule as king.

Headcanon is fun!

I have him, and I love him, he's great in pax mode and combined mode, the pax form especially feels like it's own character with the new heads, but if you're not feeling the o/p form, I don't think I can change your mind, but the accessories do go a long way to distinguishing him, that, and the color scheme is way more cohesive, and the truck mode is cool, since you can attach the arm cannons to it and stack the swords on top, and have a total mad-max-mobile

Sabr, you are obsessed with the idea of this Optimal Optimus repaint "neededing" to be evil version of the character somehow.

People are weirdly obssesed with thinking it's an 'evil' version of the character...except Primal always (at least until Optimal Optimus) had a color scheme that was darker and more muted. It even carried over to Beast Machine. Only his Season 3 form is brightly colored and echoes the red and blue of Optimus Prime and even the very subtly, with reddish maroon and orange replacing the bright red

Despite having the Takara version preordered from Amazon JP, I still think I might get the regular deco version of Primal as well. I honestly could see my preorder getting screwed up with Amazon, so I wouldn't mind a contingency. I am already angry enough about missing the Throne because of HTS had my address wrong (I had fixed it prior to this, but things reverted for some dumbass reason). And considering the number of issue people have encountered regarding this release, I am very apprehensive about ever ordering from them again.

Has anyone with Throne of the Primes Primal figured out a way to store the crown in Ape mode? I am thoroughly enjoying this figure, but I always prefer if the accessories store nicely in both (all) modes, somehow

I've had no luck on the crown in any mode. You can sort of just put it where the gorilla head stores in the chest but it just kind of sits there and isn't secure at all. You can put the scepter into the 5mm hole on the front of the spaceship mode, but it looks pretty dumb if you ask me. I've resigned to needing to keep them aside when he is not in the combined robot mode.

It looks like I found a way for it to be secure in gorilla mode (as long as backpackimus is not installed. The crown can clip in where you suggested. You just need to put it upside down and facing forward. The "cheeks" of the crown can clip to the white neck. Almost appears like it is supposed to.

Brentwood Walmart scores again, they have Blot, Sinnertwin, and Cutthroat.

Well after 3 "back-and forth" e-mails and phone calls between HTS, it was finally deduced that because of a *glitch* my order of "Throne" was not finalized. Of course they were happy to retake the order, but I could not use paypal over the phone, so I just cancelled altogether. Thankfully there's Takara's backup. I'd love to, like others say, be done with HTS, because their service is so awful, but occasionally they do get in the rare item before anybody else does, or at a more reasonable price. Of course they could not say when Throne would be back in stock, but if they could just arbitrarily offer to fill my order over the phone, obviously there are more coming. Whats worse, she offered to compensate by giving me a 20% off code, which is all fine and dandy, but I didn't even get that in my e-mail....., and she even confirmed the address...

I was calling back & forth like you. And after around this past week, HTS finally figured out the problem & now I'm actually getting primal. My order went through fully & I should expect him in the next few days. Thank got this disaster is over. But in the end, so many are going to end up without the exclusive because of the error & problems HTS had. Though I'm still grateful they were able to fix the problem.

Seriously, needs to fix this problem. This was a horrendous experience & like many others, I'm probably not going to purchase anything off the HTS anytime soon afterthis.

Wolfman, I can confirm for you that his knees are one solid red, there isn't a different at the seams.

That said, I cannot wait for the retail Primal. This mold is very good, and very fun. I hold onto my statement before I owned him: Primal is the best of the 3 leader molds.

So correct me if I'm wrong, or this is more appropriate for a different thread, but Wreck-Gar and standard release Primal/OpOp have yet to be found at US retail, right? They're the only PotP figures I'm still waiting/looking for, not counting Punch/Counterpunch who just has to actually ship out.
