Well, if the leaked photos that cannot be posted are to be trusted, and so far it has been right on, then wave 4 of PotP will be like wave 6 of TR, at least for deluxes with only 1 new mold and re-release for the rest.

Which is interesting because both of those waves match up with the run up to Christmas. So I wonder if that is Hasbro banking on full shelves for Christmas over new product for Christmas. If they are mostly re-releases, then they can make make the extras for future waves during the initial run for each figure and not risk any delays in production right before Christmas.

To be fair, that leak only featured a single new deluxe figure for wave 4 (Novastar). If that were EVERTYHING* for the entire series, That would indicate the line was ending at the end of 2018 (No Leaders, Voyagers, Legends, or Prime Masters were shown). If the line were to continue until June 2019, as many surmise, then that should be sufficient time for two more full waves to be developed (a full wave 4, and 5) ...perhaps 6, who knows?

It would be kind of sad to know that what was leaked on July 23 2017, would yield no new surprises for the next 18 months...I would expect perhaps at NYCC Next year (since there will be no Hascon), that some PotP reveals for later waves will be shown.

At the very least, we are lead to believe there are going to be 12 Prime Masters, yet only a total of 8 have been revealed, including leaks.

I can totally picture at least two Prime Masters being relegated to store exclusive box sets...which then get cancelled.

Seriously though, we'll more than likely just get the last four Prime Masters in waves 1 and 2 of the 2019 product line. Novastar will probably be the only new thing to come out in the fourth quarter of 2018, like how Slugslinger was the only new thing in the fourth quarter of this year.

Much as it pains me (their customer service and general fandom-love is great), I've all but written off Kapow for regular retail stuff. I get that they have higher overheads, and that most "regular retail" stuff barely hits regular retail in the UK, but the prices now are getting ridonkulus.

I'm really torn on this, as Omega Supreme is obviously my favorite character of all time. I cant see Hasbro doing a better job than FT Terminus Giganticus, which is a thing of beauty, despite it being way out of my price range, and I'll probably never get it. The original was completely a parts former, sand the tank which actually transformed a bit. I don't mind parts formers, but I know some people are not thrilled by them. Keeping the spirit of the original, while allowing it to transform somewhat, and keeping it at a reasonable price is not something I'm sure Hasbro can pull off.

Remember, --All customers want 3 things - Good, Fast, and Inexpensive. Unfortunately we only get to pick 2....

I'm also not certain we will get another Titan Class figure to finish POTP. If we do however, I'm not sure how Scorponok or Omega Supreme could fit into the line.

The individual figure itself is praiseworthy for the effort. But it's way too small, and lacks the proper imagery that the original Omega Supreme invokes.

Omega Supreme should be able to be made without any sacrifices considering he'll likely be 18" tall, have no electronics, and be a big transforming/partsforming figure with a much smaller parts count than Devastator since he's just a big action figure that comes apart and no unattached weapons to begin with. For $150 they should be able to come up with something worthy of the price with nothing (aside from the electronics) missing from the original.

Scorponok is another story. For the most part he should be just a bigger version of the original, but with knees and proper elbows (his hips and shoulders are already perfection). Fasttrack will probably be included and work the same way as Cerebros forming the head, but still retain his vehicle mode. His shield probably won't be included, the city tower will probably be integrated into his chest door like how Trypticon's tower became part of the hatch. His gun will probably become just one piece now, assuming it's included. Not sure how they'll turn his claws into towers without partsforming.

No, we got six waves. The sixth wave having only one all-new figure does not discount it. Entire waves of RID15 product consisted solely of previously released figures. That's how toylines work: they try to keep new figures in the assortment for a few waves, as well as keeping popular characters (like Bumblebee) on shelves constantly. Our current preview of POTP wave 4 may only indicate one new figure, but that doesn't make it any less of a legitimate wave. It's not like Hasbro is withholding anything from us, it just means they're putting out the bulk of the new product in different places and they wants the shelves to be filled with the most popular characters around the holiday shopping season.


And as far as titans go, the idea that they have to be exactly like their G1 toys but with better articulation is extremely unimaginative. I know that's kind of Hasbro's modus operandi under Warden but they've proven their willingness to deviate when necessary, and I think Omega Supreme would mandate it. They're not going to sell a partsforming mess in 20XX. (I hope)

I like your thinking regarding Fasttrack's interaction, as he's a gray figure he'd work quite well as Scorp's gray head/helmet.

If anything, this 'break' wave thing of only having one or two new products in the wave while putting previously-released product in all the other slots seems great. It means we have chances to catch up while giving our wallets a rest, and since they're only developing 5.1 waves instead of 6 we can probably be guaranteed more original molds and more effort going into those molds. I'm all for it; it's a lot less exhausting either way.

I do not agree with this opinion, but then again, for me, It is this "unimaginative" pattern that brought me back to collecting after a 10 year absence . CW & TR are the best things to happen to Transformers in a long, long time IMHO. Released God Bomber this year. It is slightly less a parts former than its original rendition, but is still very much so, and is an excellent toy.

CW & TR are the best things to happen to Transformers in a long, long time IMHO. Released God Bomber this year. It is slightly less a parts former than its original rendition, but is still very much so, and is an excellent toy.

Prior to Combiner Wars, I only picked up an Ultra Magnus release.

Counting Combiner Wars, Titans Return, and Takara Legends that are compatible with CW and TR, I've purchased 62 characters (77 if you count all Titan Masters).

The play pattern of combining and now headmasters sparked a bit of "completionist" in me. My brother bought me Battle Core Optimus Prime two years ago. It's a combiner torso so I needed at least 4 limbs. Titans Return rolled around and I started buying Titan Masters as weapons for my Combiner Wars figures. But then I needed other characters to swap heads around.

It probably helps that my then two, now three-year-old is also into Transformers but yeah Prime Wars got me back.

My experience is similar. I had a strong inclination to get T30 Metroplex when it first came out,since selling all my original collection in 2007, I had no reason to start up again feeling that this was going to be just a "one off" of a classic character I liked. My son was getting random movie and animated toys, but not a huge collection since he was only 7 at the time (now he's 11). I was unable to find Metroplex at retail and that was that.

Then in 2014 at Botcon when Menasor & Superion were revealed for CW for 2015, it raised an eyebrow, but then I figured there would be only those two, and that's it. It was not until CW was in full swing, and almost ending I took the plunge, and UW cemented it for me. I'm glad I did. Including all TR and PotP reveals thus far, we are only a few characters away from what I would consider a faithful recreation of my original collection, and we've gotten some nice new ones along the way.

I'm glad TT is rereleasing Metroplex. I'm not thrilled with the price, but its better than what I would have to pay on eBay for the T30 one at this point.

It's in keeping with the Prime wars Trilogy, which I like...but we've seen this already, what I really want to see is the back.

Now I just gotta contain my hype and be reminded that my local stores are always horribly late when it come to stocking Transformers, meaning I'm probably not going to see any of those PotP figures in time.

I mean we just got Blitzwing and Octane last week.

Via our usual source for news on weibo, user tf-factory / 淘宝店变形金刚改造工厂, we have a look at a Voyager class figure first seen at Hascon 2017 from the upcoming toyline for Transformers: Power of the Primes - the Chosen One and Supreme Ruler of Cybertron: Starscream! Shown in the mirrored images in both stock photography for robot and jet mode, plus an in-package shot, we get to see the totally-not-combiner foot/hand parts, the Prime Master and Null Ray guns.

Also, via Facebook page Planet Iacon, we have an image from a Malaysian toy catalogue featuring the initial promotion for the line, featuring Deluxe figures Jazz and Snarl, plus Leader class Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime in and out of package, and a confirmation that the toys will be hitting retail (in some markets at least) this December - that's next month! Check it all out below!

Yeah, so I won't be using those particular combiner feet in robot mode. Or plane mode.

So....Cybertron/Galaxy Force homage for the shoulder armor, huh? He's a rather chunky Starscream, for sure, but part of me want him due to having no Starscream in my collection yet. Still think that mold would shine best as Leozack and/or Skyquake, however. Or Nominus Prime's earth mode (unlikely to happen but, hey, customs!).

Starscream has combiner ports?! Woah! Gasp! Amazement! Unorthodox!

I'm probably really late to the party on this, but do we know if those new PotP combiner feet will work with the Combiner Wars figures?
