Never heard of this. If I saw one, however I would not purchase it.

Rysquad wrote:At the end of the day though, whatever Hasbro or Takara releases as Omega Supreme is Omega Supreme. It doesn't matter if you, or I, or anyone else that disagrees with the Hasbro/Takara decision. You do not determine who is and isn't Omega Supreme. Your headcannon isn't cannon but that doesn't stop you from making Terminus Giganticus your Omega Supreme.

It appears what you want is a NEW character, a NEW Omega Supreme, and that's fine. If Hasbro decides to develop one for Cybermissions, or the Live Action Movies, or at any point in the future for any of their new brand,. That is fine. Make all the new versions in new continuities you want.

However, None of us can foresee the future, but I'm pretty sure based on as you say, this current design team, we would not see a Generations Omega Supreme that was not faithful to the original. If by some engineering miracle they could make the original Base Mode fully Transformable to look like its original Robot Self that would be amazing...I don't think its possible, but hey, I'm not a toy engineer. I'm pretty sure we wont be seeing one for a while. I bet the Hasbro design team is really glad Trypticon won the fan vote in 2016.(I voted for Tryp by the way...while Omega is my favorite character, I would have liked him as a toy last of those 3 simply because of the feasibility discussion we are having now). My gut tells me 2019 will be Scorponok, or maybe we wont have any titans at all...who knows.

Titans Return was perhaps the most faithful representation of many G1 characters outside of Masterpiece, and even then they took creative liberties. The removal of the stats gimmick, improved aesthetics in both modes, increased interaction with the headmaster figure, the universal headmaster size to allow for greater cross-figure compatibility, numerous characters presented as headmasters who were traditionally not, and additional or different alt modes (TR sixshot's submarine may not be great but I don't think it was meant to be a gun either). Ditto for Combiner Wars as far as not adhering strictly to G1. When Aaron Archer was in charge, we had figures that took cues from the comics, or simply designs that were updated to appear more modern. Kup's earthly pickup truck comes to mind. Perceptor was a research truck instead of a microscope. Classics, Universe, and Generations set out to re-imagine characters across the brand in modern forms, and even with the more traditional approach taken by Warden's team, that still applies. The goal is not and has never been purely to remake the old toys, but to sell the classic characters to old and new fans alike. To bring this back to the main topic of this thread, Power of the Primes is continuing to update many characters with new combined modes, and creating a pseudo-Powermaster functionality with mostly characters who were never powermasters. Pretenders are getting a nod but now they're tiny and become weapons. All of the Titans released thus far make some alteration to their classic form, trying to evoke and update the concept of the original rather than just remake it with modern articulation. This is especially true with Devastator, but I could rattle off notable changes to the other 3 titans as well, and Predaking will have Titan Master compatibility among other unknown changes. All of these are based on simpler figures than Omega Supreme and they still made alterations for the combination of reasons of being better toys, more appealing to consumers, and within the allocated budget. As it has been suggested, a partsforming Omega would be unexciting, a non-partsforming G1 accurate would be Masterpiece Megatron levels of complex, and the original alt mode is a bit abstract anyway, so an update seems likely. You may disagree on this point but to me, Omega is first and foremost just the big sentry guy with a claw arm and the visor face in gray, yellow, and red. I don't care as much about what he turns into as long as those elements of him make sense on the alt mode, and that's why I suggest an update. Hell, I consider the Year of the Snake Omega Supreme to be a very good update of the character. I don't actually own it but I would not be averse to it. I do think a newer toy is in order but I don't personally want or expect it to be exactly like the G1 toy. I've kind of lost my train of thought but I hope I've opened your eyes to the potential of a good Omega to not be almost identical to the classic or one of the 3P remakes.

steals_your_goats wrote:I know I'm alone on this but I truly think that Raiden will be the Titan class figure to end the prime wars trilogy. I know it seems like a long shot, maybe even impossible but I think it would make sense.

Prime wars trilogy is the first big toy event that Hasbro has done since the Unicron trilogy so I definitely think that they'll end it with a Titan. Scorponok and Omega don't fit the gimmick of this line and can't really be made to include it like Trypticon was with Full Tilt. But Raiden would. He's a 6 bot combiner that wouldn't work with the standard CW/POTP system and he's the rival of both Devastator and Predaking. He's the only Autobot combiner that would work at Titan class besides Landcross but his rival dinoking is most likely going to be normal combiner scale.

"But he's so obscure" while true he's definitely marketable:
1) He's an Autobot and "good guys sell"
2) He's 6 different characters and a combiner
3) He's made of trains. Everybody loves trains.

I know this was long and out of nowhere but I've been sitting on this thought for a while and finally decided to post it

It seems most likely that the 2019 Titan will belong to the line following POTP.
It could still be Raiden but I doubt it.

Funny someone should bring up Omega Spreem
I was just thinking about him yesterday.

As to the Grimlock/Starcream feet as decoration - perhaps that would have worked better if they had a 5mm hole or post on them to allow them to be expanded into the back end of a blade, engines or a gun then they'd have the option to be other than a big block of nothing stuck on them.

Oh and the Stickers are to shiny - if they were more like a Vinyl they'd be more acceptable to me. As it is I'd rather have a bit of simple striping and some tampos the ones of Titans Returns Brainstorm are terrific - why not give us ones like that as the default.

After seeing that Omega Leader Class digibash, it actually made me think of one citybot/basebot that they could've got away with doing a smaller class size than just what we got! & that is Fort Max! coz I could just see a Leader Class sized one(& YES I know we already have a bunch of smaller versions with third parties such as Kabaya, Toyworld, KO & shortly....Master Made) but!!!! an OFFICIAL LICENSED Leader Class Fort Max I wouldn't have said no to.

Well, at this point its all 'wait and see' and spculation, isn't it? Either way I suspect that whatever was not done during the Prime War trilogy may very well have a slim chance of re-emerging during future Generations release, since we know at least one Generations concept ended up in Titans Return.

You know, it occurs to me that despite being hyped for a new Abominus that if I look back there's just...really not much about the Terrorcons. They barely have any major role in the cartoon or Marvel comics, let alone an origin last I checked. They certainly don't have any major memorable role.

I guess that goes to show how much a kickass, nonsensical design and theme of five monstrous robot-beast-dragon-things merging to make a bigger monster robot is invariably metal as ****.

Given that it's still a day ending in -y, we have a new set of images from unaffiliated source to Hasbro or Takara Tomy featuring an upcoming toyline and its official stock photography - today, we're looking at the Hasbro Transformers Power of the Primes (allegedly due to hit a number of retail markets in December 2018) and its Leader class toys for Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime and Voyager class Dinobot Grimlock!

The images come from regular source on Facebook TFCN, and have been mirrored below (we had also seen Rodimus and Optimus in this news story), where the spotlight is mostly on the Dinobot leader, shown in packaging, robot, and beast mode, while the other two are simply shown in their 'evolved' modes in package. Check them out, and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub!

Wow, that dinosaur mode is, uhh... His robot mode sure is great! Wow what a great robot mode, right guys?

Admittedly, previous images have looked way better to me, and stock images don't exactly tend toward hitting the highest heights of quality (just ask poor decapitated Skullsmasher :-P ), so I'm still optimistic for this Grimlock. Probably a naive level of optimism, all things considered, but I sure hope it turns out to be well-placed!

Rodimus Prime is the evolution version, so you get Hot Rod (Deluxe) and the trailer.

OK...if that's the case...then tell me...where's the trailer in here? hmm? coz I sure as hell don't see it! I doubt the trailer is hidden behind the figure coz the trailer's waaay bigger than the figure

The trailer is the figure - most of it anyway. What you're seeing there is the Deluxe-sized Hot Rod combined with his trailer, in order to form the Leader-sized Rodimus Prime.

The trailer IS the robot mode. The POTP gimmick is evolution, which means you get a deluxe figure and a trailer for vehicle mode, and then the deluxe figure combines with the trailer to form the full leader sized robot mode. This is true for EVERY potp leader figure. So the Optimus has his G1 trailer also.

That Grimlock is lousy. The robot mode is medicore but the dino mode really looks awful. It's like the top half is a good G1 Grimlock trying to climb out of some malformed plastic crap at the bottom. Optimus looks ok... just.. standard Optimussy. And despite my inital excitement when Rodimus was first shown, the huge flaws of that figure have turned me right against it.
