Nevertheless, they rendered Swoop with a red chest in all his stock imagery, and deliberately withheld showing that imagery at the HasCon TF brand panel since it wasn't accurate to the final toy colors, and since they had no official stock imagery that had the blue chest.

He mentioned that either color was focus tested, and the blue deco won out.

by the by, the red chest variant has an additional difference: the beak isn't painted.

I think I will get both of them. Landmine makes a great canon and Submarauder makes a good melee weapon. And I like the symmetrical PM symbols. I think combining the power up figures with pretender shells and turning those shells into targetmasters was a very good idea. I'm really loving this line.

I just wish wouldn't keep us in the dark for so long. It makes it difficult to plan on a budget.

That said and based on what I know I'm mainly in this for the Dinobots and Elita-1, a few legends class toys and the Prime Masters. So unless there is a major sale on Leader Class Optimus and maybe Primal I'm mostly done with the expensive figures for the rest of the line, just waiting on wave 2.

I just noticed Landmine and Metalhawk share the same arms, rear section and gun. It's hard to be sure but I think Alpha Trion and Vector Prime are the same figure as well.

Just a quick note to put all of this in perspective as well. Blue is the most popular "favorite" color among people. Red comes in at number 2. It's why you find those colors (especially in combination) in so many things, from toys to national flags to cars to corporate logos and even to superhero costumes.

my apologies, but I was just trying to speak in generalities. But basically what we got were the names of all the characters from waves 1-3 (and one deluxe from wave 4). Whether represented with a CG model, cartoon model, or toy model, we got the list. We have yet to see any surprises that were not on that list. That is what I am hoping for.

Thanks. I got a look at Prime Masters Solus Prime, Quintus Prime and Megatronus. Their PM symbols are also present on Inferno's box. Hasbro did not have images of the decoy armors at that time. Looking forward to the next set of reveals. And a good look at Elita-1's combiner head. I don't why made that so secret when she's being released so soon. Unless I just somehow missed that picture.

And as I said, by Prime Masters we usually mean the robot mode and/or decoy armor, not the symbols. We normally say that in particular when we mean the symbol.

There's a difference between the leaked images and the official toy and packaging images. That's why it's called official and leaked. And in the leaked images have been some pictures of G1 cartoon and toy versions of the characters as placeholders for their new iterations. So I wanted to clear that up.

Back to the toys, here is my ranking of all of wave 1:

Optimus Prime
Slash
Swoop
Grimlock/Slug/Dreadwind (tied, like them all, but really can't choose one above the other 2)
Beachcomber
Windcharger
Rodimus Prime
Starscream
All 3 Prime Masters

I intentionally put the 3 prime masters last. I feel they are so simple compared to the other size classes that it really wasn't fair ranking them above even the worst actual transforming figure. That isn't to say they aren't fun, they are, and they help make up for the lack of weapons for Grimlock and likely Hun-Gurr in the future. The biggest thing I look for in a transformer toy is the transformation, so the prime masters lose out based on that alone. I was similar in Titans Return, I couldn't rank any of the Titan Masters above any of the higher classes except for Shuffler/Ramhorn, and that was only because they were exceptional, with 3 great modes. The prime masters don't have the benefit of a 3rd mode to help them edge out any larger classes.

For me, only Starscream and Rodimus Prime are just okay figures. All the rest, I really like. Rodimus will probably grow on me over time, and I still plan on getting Rodimus Unicronus because "need more cowbell, I mean cons". Starscream probably won't get much use, ass I like the CW Leader better for robot and jet mode. I will enjoy torso mode, and my favorite, midget mode.
