Optimal Optimus is looking better and better every time. I'm super excited for him. He looks to be the best leader figure of the line, I'm stoked.
Also, moonracer and nova star will never be legs, never.

A hinged peg on a clear plastic panel + the weight of a combiner = paranoia.

It also looks terrible.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Silverbolt was the best torso from CW. Everything was solid and held together well, you had combiner lean but that was with every torso so it's no surprise Hasbro would want to go down that route again.
I don't want to get hopes up but the Terrorcon weapons look to have extra ports on them, they might be able to combine.

So if they will be arms ONLY, I wonder if a 3P company will make a giant robotic wheelchair for your legless Elita-Infin1te

Actually, I think that is the exact thing that most people are upset with. You can't have a combiner battle royal if some of the limbs have to pull double duty. Well you can, but some of the participants would end up armless and/or legless, not good for a a** kicking contest...

Well, maybe it can be more of a "Royal Rumble" than a "Battle Royal." As a "contestant" is knocked out, another takes his or her place. Imagine that "Betatron" gets knocked out. Maybe the component members are down for the count, but Scattershot "still functions," he can call on his Technobot buddies and re-enter the fray as "Computron." Or, maybe only Scattershot is out of commission and Sunstreaker, Ironhide, Prowl, and Mirage disengage with Betatron and hook up to Opitmus Prime so that "Optimus Maximus" can take up the fight where Betatron left off. It makes for a more dynamic kind of warfare that actively uses the toy gimmick of "Scramble City Combination" in narrative form.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

And yep - I'm definitely seeing Silverbolt's framework in this. The parts may all be molded differently, but it's still essentially Silverbolt's robot mode lying on it's back with the arms bent backwards, and a tail 'cap' over where the robot head should be.
You know that shared engineering concept or what have you really puts me in mind of the original G1 toys. Even if the bots where different, the sameness of transforming engineering could easily make you recall another TF.

That also keep popping up and was answered above quickly as a result. Decepticon shells turn into melee weapons (Octopunch may be debatable), while Autobot ones are exclusively guns.
Cobotron wrote:TF-fan kev777 wrote: Basically looks like a box of crayons threw up.
Kev mentioned using G2 sets willy-nilly. I bought G2 Superion strictly to give his limbs to Skylynx and that team is complete. and RAD! Never going with any other limbs.

Here I thought I was the only one who did that. And its sorta canon if you wink at it right. He was Lieutenent Commander of the Third Air Strike Division. And who's to say who the Third Air Strike Division was if not a bunch of bots who look like Arialbots.
Getting this back on topic, I myself will probably never combine Elita if I even pick her up, so no worries rhere. I have a bunch of spare Protectobots running around right now starring
*CW Srafe as Skyfeather and the unnamed RescueForce jet
CW Nosecone as Heatrock and the Unnamed Rescue Force drill tank
*CW Rook as the unnamed Rescue Force tank with thw geabby claw things (when I leave out CW Groove)
*CW Mirage, tentatively called Speed Stream after the G2 guy, as the unnamed RESCUE force CAR/dunebuggy (you can flip the rear spoiler up and strap a CW HFG to it and get close to Jarguar)
*Alpha Bravo as Fly Up,
So amongst them I have enough extra limbs for a second Defensor.
