He's officially called "Unicron Megatron" per Hasbro at BotCon and SDCC.

I know, I know. I'm just saying because 95% of the internet is calling him "Galvatron".

Is it just me, or does Unicron Megatron have a Predacon symbol on his chest? And if so, does that mean the the Predacons are Unicron's fraction?
Plus, I'm glad to see John Noble back, especially since I can no longer see him on Fringe weekly. :-(

Ugh. They copied the ROTF trailer. Brings back bad memories. Still can't help but see the TF Prime toys as a mix between movieverse and Animated, neither of whose aesthetic I am keen on. Really wish they'd kill the line already and do more generations/classics universe style stuff.
For sale: My entire Transformers and third-party collection. Includes Masterpiece, Generations, Universe, Movie, Prime, Armada/Energon/Cybertron, G1, G2, a few Japanese imports, etc. Many never opened, the rest displayed in enclosed display cases to keep the dust off. A few ads on Craigslist/OfferUp for DC/MD/VA locals, will post on boards or ebay when I have time.

I would love to see two separate shows kick in. One for the younger fans (as it looks like they're doing once Prime is finished) and a G1/Generations based adult-aimed series (or sets of miniseries) with adult themes and whatnot. That'd be sweet! I'd totally watch both. ;-)

that's what i'm saying. recently read rage of the dinobots, which takes place in the prime universe, and the dinobots opted to stay on cybertron to find other autobots who hadn't made the exodus. figured it was setting up for them to make an appearance in the show.

This does seem to be happening, except that they'll both be Aligned series since that's the continuity they're sticking with at this time (TF4 notwithstanding).

IDW seems to have a monopoly on mainstream (or as close to it as it can be) modern day Generation 1-based American fiction.

Why not? John Noble voiced him before back in season 1. Why wouldn't they get him this time? :???:

I dunno, I'm really not expecting the Dinobots to appear in animated form, based on what was said at BotCon and SDCC.

At BotCon's IDW panel, someone asked writer Mairghread Scott (who has written for both the Prime cartoon and the Prime-related IDW comics) if we would see the Dinobots in the show. She explained that the Prime creative team really do think that it would be great for the Dinobots to appear in the Prime cartoon, but because they are so limited by CGI restraints, putting the Dinobots into the Prime Beast Hunters comics instead was their way of putting the Dinobots into the Prime universe.

At SDCC's Prime Beast Hunters panel, the first question asked at the Q&A (by a little girl from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, no less) was also about if we'll see Dinobots in cartoon, to which Mike Vogel of Hasbro Studios explained that, since Transformers: Prime is wrapping up with Predacons Rising, there wasn't any space to put the Dinobots into this show because they have Predacons and wanted to get those in there. But, as they discussed things that are going to happen beyond the future, that's definitely something that they'd all love to do at some point.
