I don't have an issue with characters dying. It's how their death is handled that matters, and the way they off the much-hyped Cliffjumper like they did felt like a cheap cop-out.

MINDVVIPE wrote:Obi Wan dying set the mood pretty well for the rest of the movie, are you going to tell me episode IV wasn't a humble beginning? ;) And I know its a movie compared to a show, but they both are aiming at young and mature audiences. Perhaps that isn't the best example since his death wasn't so graphic, but well, it was clearly meant to appeal to fans that wanted to see something new.. and I haven't seen a death of an Autobot that brutal before.
Thing is, Obi Wan's death was neither at the beginning nor badly handled. We got to know the guy very well, and the humbleness of the beginning was all with C-3PO and R2D2 up to when they meet Luke. by the time Obi Wan is killed, we're well past the humble beginning.

With Cliffjumper, they built up all this hype to him being this must-see cool character, yet we don't get to see him for more than five minutes before he's completely wasted.

And then when his corpse gets the Terrorcon treatment and keeps getting maimed again and again until he's finally just blown up, it's like they want us to go, "OKAY! WE GET IT! You're not gonna let us enjoy Cliffjumper in this show! STOP HAMMERING THIS INTO OUR US!" :BANG_HEAD:

I dont know about the kids and right now I dont really care as I more insterested in the serious isuues the kids/humans have always been a Secondary factor to me.

The reason I loved Beast Wars so much cause less humans more on them which Is what I am loving on Prime Season 2 it focuses more on how they do battle and other issues without worrying about humans or the kids like babysisters.

I dont know about the future right now I am worried about the here & now such as The Omega Lock, Starscreams Plot, Regeneration of Cybertron. and how S2 will connect to Beast Hunters.

Finally the Physical appearance of Alpha Trion and more on Smokescreen these are more pressing matters than worrying about the humans and the kids at the moment.

All that you dislike about the way they handled it is all that I like about it, so I guess we can agree to disagree. I am speaking from a Decepticon POV.
Your right about Obi-Wan though, I just felt it was relevant since I felt I cared more about Obi-Wan than I did Cliffjumper.

He's moving.

And he's being recasted, as Andy Pessoa hit puberty and needed to be replaced.

Is he? I would think as the character gets older, so would his voice.

Back at last year's NYCC panel, it was said that Raf would be getting recasted because of Andy Pessoa's voice changing.

Raf hasn't aged at the same rate as his voice actor since the episodes are spread out so far so time passes slower in the show than it does in real life.

My guess is that, based on Raf's absence in this recent batch of episodes, they were recasting him at the time at which these episodes were being made, and wrote in the relocation plot point to make up for it. Though, that still leaves Jack and Miko unaccounted for.

Miko is definately a mystery. Jack, on the other hand, was probably grounded for his actions in "Legacy." I can't see Arcee keeping that fact from June.

HITFIX has posted a new preview for clip from this week's new episode of Transformers Prime "Patch". Click here to visit HITFIX and view the video or check out the embedded YouTube version courtesy of JhayKhayCee2. Be sure to tune into the Hub this Friday at 7:00 PM ET.

HITFIX wrote:Starscream proposes a truce with fully-recovered Decepticon leader Megatron, but his new righthand man Dreadwing threatens to stand in the way of the alliance, even going so far as to coax Megatron into subjecting Starscream to some sort of mind probe to see what he's really planning.

I didn't say I was surprised he got out. We all knew he got out, but it was how he got out that we were trying to figure out.

I doubt this is another recap episode, guys. The previews we've seen before showed plenty of new footage.

Or did I miss the episode where Starscream held the disco dance-off for the Vehicons? :P

I gotta say, TF Prime's Megatron is by far the most intelligent, cautious and capable one among the recent continuities (between Prime, the movieverse and the video games).

I don't know, the return of Megatron was a pretty tough level, least the first time around, haha.

In recent years, yeah (though, he's the same guy as WFC/FOC Megatron ;) ).

Though, he doesn't quite yet hold a candle to Beast Era Megatron. ;)

Sure looks like a second recap episode, doesn't it?
I'm expecting it'll have much hilarity, with Starscream delusions of grandeur moments that'll end with Megatron just being disgusted with him.

Might also be a lead-in to a future episode where we find either Megatron or Starscream has planted something in the other's psyche as a trump card.
