This guy has a tail, claw, or gun emerging from his back and wings. Lazerback has none of these traits. Also, this guy's head is lower into the collar, complete with a different torso and shoulder kibble.

Looking at it more, I'm seeing more draconic elements than insectoid elements, and since this is meant to be a prequel to season 3, it's likely this guy is a Predacon (who are all dragon-based) than anything else.
