The new EMMY Award winning series TRANSFORMERS PRIME, A Hasbro Studios production, currently airs on The HUB television network in the U.S. and Teletoons in Canada, deepens the epic mythology of both the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS, while starting a new chapter for a new generation of fans.

In early 2011, loyal TRANSFORMERS fans, as well as families and kids, were introduced to this visually stunning five-part miniseries on The HUB. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, AUTOBOT Ratchet, Bulkhead, and many others are back to "roll out" against Megatron's latest attempt to conquer Earth. And Megatron proves to be more powerful than ever, having acquired a rare element that allows him mastery over life itself. OPTIMUS PRIME and the AUTBOTS may be few against the Decepticon hordes, but they find increased strength through bonds forged with three human teenagers.

TRANSFORMERS PRIME is produced by Hasbro Studios, with Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Kline serving as executive producers. Okay, that artwork is much better than the Darkness Rising DVD, since it isn't just a bunch of stock character models slapped on, but rather a more original and unique piece of artwork.

And, YAY, it includes both the Darkness Rising mini-series pilot AND the PRIME GRAPHIC NOVEL!!! Now anyone who hasn't read it will have no excuse to not if they pick this up. :D

Nuh uh. I haven't bought either but I still wanna get both. Darkness Rising was edited as a movie. I've already seen it in episode form, so now I wanna see how the movie version flows in comparison. As for it being included in this set, well, that's great too. Cuz then I get to own both versions. So, nyah. :P

It flows pretty well (bought and watched 2 days ago). Its almost as if they planed this :-?

Any way, Darkness Rising was 10 bux and NOT in Blu-Ray, so I don't feel to stupid about picking this up in march.

I bought this many years ago, and realized my mistake when I heard of this. I also bought this, not thinking that it would be included in this. Naturally, I was in no hurry whatsoever to get Darkness Rising... lol, suckers

In fact, considering that we're now seeing "Complete Series" sets of this, that, and the other thing, I may just hold off for a few more years until I can pick up every episode of Prime in a single box too.

Season 1 + computer + Adobe Premiere (or Avid, or Final Cut Pro, or whatever) = Darkness Rising movie.

No,thanks I ain't gonna sit their & spend a few hours enditting the 5 episodes that will come with season one in march 2012 into a movie. if I did this, then I'd have to spend money buying a blank DVD. Then,i'd need to use a program to print out a lebel on top of the dvd. no matter what I do it's gonna look & play like a bootleg. some of us like to have liscensed DVD's in their Collection. not fan copied inferior Bootleg DVD's.

No,thanks If I had to do all this above,i'd spend the extra $10 & buy the 5 part movie. at the very least I know it'll play like a liscensed version & the DVD will look liscensed on the top of the printed label

This ain't worth doing to save a meager $10 bucks. granted I could see it worth while if the dvd set cost over $100. even then I wouldn't bother. as having bootlegs isn't what I want in my collection.

More people enjoy watching DVDs on TV than video files on a computer.
