Sick, glad they didn't make Soundwave seem like a weak combatant. Considering he might normally have 4 or more minions to assist in the fight, the tentacle arm is downright fair, haha.

I love how he moves so effortlessly, like systema style.

That would be the most logical theory

I can't stand this depiciton of Soundwave, RIDICULOUS.....and as far as WheelJack, THE G1 WheelJack would have had NO chance against the G1 Soundwave...EVER, but different take different era, Soundwave looks like a rip off Cylon Raider from BattleStar Galactica BUT YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT TRULY GET'S UNDER MY SKIN......Transformer Prime's depiction of Optimus himself. OFF THE HOOK insanity...although I liked last weeks episode, BUT Optimus should have been able to DESTROY Dreadwing....why don't they tap into the Matrix lore.....with millions of years of fighting knowledge at Optimus Prime's disposal, and not to mention extra POWER. The tide is never equal when Prime steps onto the battlefield not even Megatron himself would want to face Prime unless an ambush is there for the taking or Prime is clearly outnumbered. There should be a script competition even for Transformers Prime writers to compete in........THEY WOULD LOOSE. Really the only banter that is acceptible is from Starscream to Megs....I like that and I get it and so does everyone else....but to portray Optimus as an equal with Dreadwing......F*&^% insulting.

I must have been watching a different fight because it looked to me like optimus had his number easy.

I agree. To me it seems as Optimus knows he can hand everyone their arse but respects them as individuals and truly wants to see them abandon the senseless violence once and for all. Makes the season one ending epic because he had finally realized megatron will never change and has to be put down even though he once looked up too and respected him.

The Matrix is an item of wisdom and purity, not a weapon of mass destruction (unless there's a supernatural force of pure evil, only then does it become a Kryptonite nuke).

Um... did you miss their fight during "One Shall Fall"? Neither was holding back and Megatron still got the better of Optimus. Megs would have killed Prime if the other Autobots hadn't stepped in to save him.

Optimus outsmarted Dreadwing and buried him under a ton of snow. I wouldn't exactly call that "insulting".

I've obvsiously touched on some emotions here. To bad most of you do not understand the true lore of Transformers. Yes it all stems from G1 people and yes the original is far superior to perhaps the lore you follow.....do your homework. It's not about living in the past...its about imagination and creative thinking. Unfortunatley Hollywood has ran out of ideas and most shows are directed towards 2 year olds. I get that individuals want to be just that and break off from the old....BUT IF ITS NOT BROKEN ...DON'T TRY AND FIX IT...You don't see the Cylon rip off there? COME ON in robot form?? Time to check your eye site, perhaps the Raider should have been left out.....here's the deal THE MATRIX is the Autobots Holy Grail and yes it has been a weapon that went nuclear did you not see it blow up Unicron LOL Hilarious.......Do me a favor younglings.....watch G1 from start to finish then wrap up with the Animated Movie....yes been collecting since 1984...yes have all MP's Fansproject..Igear....Perfect Effect......classics.....blah blah...its not about that although you with make it out to be. It's the lore where it originated from which has held up for X amount of years....truthfully speaking their is a big diffrence between collectors and fans I get that....for me DOTM figures are not my taste nor are many others. But I get it...always have always will...does Hollywood and numerous JOKE of cartoon series..nope...you know why...BECUSE THEY DIDN'T DO THEIR HOMEWORK........so do me a favor and do yours I am happy to know that you support the cause Private's and by all means enjoy TF Prime...I know I do, but it could be soooo much better. High Moon Studios did their homework to an extent and look they brought in tons of fans....was it the best game...no...did it have potential..YES....could they build of it....they were given a second chance.....but we all deserve second chances. so don't be a and study some History.

why wouldn't you watch the animated movie between seasons 2 and 3? as for the rest I'm not sure if your advocating everything should derive from g1 or that we shouldn't live in the past.......so um got any gum?

Or, wait, you're serious? True lore? Dude, EVERYTHING from 1984-Present is true lore in some form. G1 is only one fraction of it all.

Again, I laugh.

G1 may have come first, but "first" =/= "best". Several other series have far surpassed G1 in so many ways. Writing, consistency, character development, editing, animation, directing, voice acting, scripting, drama, action, comedy, gravitas, and so much more. Granted not EVERY series after G1 is better than G1 (some are indeed inferior), but there are still a few that have vastly surpassed G1 in several certain regards. The G1 cartoon in particular is at best an average TF cartoon.

1. Hollywood has nothing to do with Transformers: Prime. Hasbro Studios makes this show.

You didn't say which mode. Since the cyclon Raider was a ship, the Vehicle Mode was logically what first came to mind.

And, frankly, the Cylon Raider itself looks inspired by a lot of other designs from other sci-fi series, so you shouldn't be talking.

I said "unless there's a supernatural force of pure evil", which Unicron counts as. The Matrix is only used to destroy things of pure evil and chaos, not natural lower level evils (like Megatron).

The 1986 movie takes place between seasons 2 and 3. Or are you saying to not watch seasons 3 and 4? If so, then, hate to break it you ya, but the G1 cartoon ends well after the movie. If you say to watch from "start to finish" but then say to stop at the movie, then you're being very hypocritical and no one will take you seriously.

Take your own advice and you'd see that not only are War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron NOT based in G1, but are also in direct conflict with the G1 cartoon, ignoring and outright defying several key aspects of it, such as how Orion Pax became Optimus Prime, how the Dinobots were created, how Trypticon was created, and so much more.

And yet, Optimus Prime never once used the Matrix to win battles against the Decepticons in the G1 cartoon. Nor did Rodimus Prime. They only ever used the Matrix twice in the cartoon, and both were against greater forces of chaos than the Decepticons ever were. If the Matrix was this big superweapon that could swiftly end the war, why didn't Optimus use it in G1? Because THAT'S NOT HOW THE MATRIX IS USED.

You really must have NO idea what you're talking about since the very foundation of not just TF: Prime but the whole Aligned continuity consists of elements taken directly from the past 25+ years of TF history. Anyways, had to release this into the wild though; if Optimus and Dreadwing were on equal footing in triangulation (granted Optimus gave Dreadwing a chance) and Wheeljack got kicked around by Soundwave, where does this actually put Soundwave? If dreadwing were to confront Wheeljack would the result be the same for the poor Wrecker, or Soundwave has quite a fighting experience that nobody really noticed?

Now I'm stoked of how Shockwave is going to be portrayed in TFPrime...

I get that, and actual again I like the banter. Truthfully speaking I am not all over the place....we are talking maybe 5-6 observations. I never personally said anything to anyone about questioning intelligence ( Bubble Gum ref ) I'm just saying there was magic to the G1 era and yeah maybe people get tired of hearing that and you know can't relate because they were not born in that era......that doesn't mean they are lame or do not have the same passion as Hardcore fans.......I'm just saying.......Soundwave looks like a rip off Cylon...Prime's Matrix should give him the edge and not just with knowledge ( its sacred / magic man ..the Decepticons do not have a Matrix ) Look I am a Steam Punk fan,,,,,,have all three with Cyclops pre-ordered....I passed on Hercules to get a more G1 Dev from Maketoys..that doesn't mean I wouldnt want to check out anyone elses collection........that being said the Original Lore can be and always will be relevant and if I were in charge of the stories it would be that much more original / magical.......becuase that was what captured all of us 25 year plus fans man................Its like the Star Wars gig...you can't tell me that 1, 2 , 3 were even close to 4, 5, 6 and they had better CGI and blah blah....its all about the story. totally agree with ya on the star wars thing, just because they stick a label on something dosnt make it awesome.

I don't agree with the cylon comparison though, his faceplate is to plain. I guess the bodies look a little alike so there is that.

don't get me wrong I love g1. I just don't think everything has to enslave itself to its memory. if a show/Hasbro wants to branch out in a different manner I'm all for it I like change. some changes work and some don't but I like to take the ride to see.

Matrix may in fact be giving him wisdom of alternatives to fighting? It's not a weapon of war. It is a symbol of leadership. And sometimes the best leader is the one who chooses not to fight. Diplomacy and reasoning can at times be the more powerful act than killing and murdering.

And, not everything that worked back then works now. A LOT of G1 is very dated. What was good for the 80s may very well not be fit for the present. Some of what was magical back then has really lost its luster over time. Don't let nostalgia keep you from seeing quality and effort (or a lack therof). G1 was good for its time, but it does not fully hold up 100%.

Saberblade brings up various great points. Even though I tend to like G1 the most, I have to admit that several newer storylines surpass it. While I do wish that some things were more G1 based, that is an opinion, not a fact that you should try correcting people with.

Um... did you miss their fight during "One Shall Fall"? Neither was holding back and Megatron still got the better of Optimus. Megs would have killed Prime if the other Autobots hadn't stepped in to save him.

I did see that fight. Optimus *almost* overwhelmed Megatron - and then Megs got a "second wind" of sorts thanks to that Dark Energon. So yeah, Megs almost got Optimus, but that Dark Energon in his system certainly gave him an advantage.

And the magic only increased as more series came along to enhance the richness of the lore to make it what it is today.

That's one of the reasons why Transformers has lasted as long as it has; it is continually evolving and reshaping itself with each new depiction. Which is necessary for any long running franchise.

Ohhh The Horror. If your tired of the Original Lore, then you don't know what Good is my friends. Opinion yes that is my opinion, Take a pole my friend, Gi Soundwave is one of the baddest looking robots around....use him. Soundwave looks like a Cylon

A lot of the lore that was so awwww inspiring was lost over the years ( I know a good movie when i see one, 300 was awesome.....Immortals was Ok ) YES say whatever you want...and I am ever so happy that its helped with the run it has had AMAZING and still will keep going. But no matter what you say...it's not as deep as it could be with the history of the origins at there disposal...the way their personalities were more vibarant........... whatever. But make no mistake in no shape form or fashion would I have a problem with B.Sing with you at Botcon or whatever and just talking about good ol Transformers.......its all good.
