So uh, I guess I don't end up here very often but here I am again!

Upon wandering into Big W today, I was greeted with a fresh sight - Wave 2 Warriors! Dunno if they've been seen in Australia yet or not but they're sure new to me. No Skywarp (is Skywarp in the wave? I'm not sure honestly) and no faceplated Soundwave variant, but I got a Soundwave anyway because he was...

and wait for it here...

$20!! Compared to previous RiD Warrior prices of $29AU, that's a nine-dollar (~30%) drop, bringing it to the same price as - well, technically a single dollar more than - a TR Legends figure! And it wasn't even a sale or anything, that's just the price they are now I guess. I am more than happy with this development.

(My working theory is that it might be to help with stocking or something - since the similar size classes are now all different prices across lines: $20 for Warriors, $25 for TR Deluxe, $29 for TLK Deluxe - but I have no evidence to back that up, it's just a thought. It's also just Big W doing this price drop so far, from what I can tell! Maybe the other stores will drop Warrior prices to match when they get this wave in too, who knows.)

My walmart here in America dropped warriors to 14.95USD right before TLK started showing up. I think you're on to something.

There's still time. One may turn up.

And given that the toyline has what seem to be Aerialbots, including a crssh combiner made from two of them, I wouldn't be surprised by a Superion either.

An Optimus combiner with those aerialbots? :-?
Honestly I'd be so surprised if they didn't milk Optimus with this.

No, I meant a Superion and a separate Optimus combiner (with maybe some returning TFP characters for limbs?)

Not that Optimus combining with the Aerialbots would be a new idea, mind you.

The damage is done, better steal Dragstrip from Menasor for good measure.

And awaaaaay he goes!

While we're at it, why don't we replace one of the aerial bots with a helicopter? Sell the missing jet as repaint and make limited stock

The one near me had them at 17-18 depending on the time. They never had TR deluxes in stock and sometimes have voyagers if you're wearing the right color shirt and it's Saturday during a waning gibus. Also, 1-steps from AOE were still there last year.

Robots in Disguise Combiner Force Dragbreak Revealed

Seibertronian RAR has let us know that Snakas Blog has revealed the next Crash Combiner: Dragbreak! Dragbreak is the combination of Dragstrip and Wildbreak, and the combined form has shown up in the actual Combiner Force cartoon. Dragstrip appears to be the bottom while Wildbreak is the top, though oddly Wildbreak appears to actually have a more F1 racer styled body despite Dragstrip normally having that car mode. Check out the image below and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

Oddly, despite Wildbreak forming the upper torso/head/arms, it's Dragstrip who ends up in control of the combined form's faculties.

Possibly "Wildstrip" was deemed an inappropriate name for a children's character. Goodness knows why that would have been... :-P

Because in the cartoon it is Drag Strip that forms the shirt, while Wildbreak forms the pants:

The toys seem to have it reversed.

Good point, something just doesn't add up given that they switched the order and gave Breaky the wrong alt mode, yet still have him the right one is the Menasor set. I'm starting to wonder if they made some serious changes late into season 3's production.

Perhaps someone decided to change it so there wouldn't be a yellow Decepticon that the kids might think is Bumblebee. (though that would be kind of insulting if they did do something like that).

Perhaps it's a simple error and they might introduce a running change with them swapped over (or Takara might swap them over - if they make their own version) - which i'd not mind as you'd have some extra combination options then.

Hopefully they will make the other two as well - just so that it opens up the play pattern.

I suppose they won't make very many of these - which is shame as if they did - then it would be most amusing to see a Scatterspike and Quillfire Crash combiner. You could have some fun with the various kinds of animal Decepticons too.

I guess we will find out what Hasbro is thinking to do with RID at the Hasbro show.

Is it possible they painted the figures wrong? Considering the blue one in the show is the one that forms the pants and is the character who was in G1 a sports car while the yellow one in the show is the one on top and had an F1 design in the G1 show, could it be that the figures were painted backwards since every other source would indicate the colors should be reversed?
