Nope. The DLC is not available for the PC version of the game. Or at least that's what I gathered from my extensive research, I don't actually own the ROTF game.

Darn.

Not to you not having ROTF, (Kinda) but not being able to get the DLC...

You'd think that the one the most people download on would get the DLC, this is ridiculous! 8-}

Actually, console versions sold more than PC versions. So they went with the biggest seller for the DLC. Soory, bro.

Oh wait...

*Runs back to computer and takes to corner and cries*

This stinks!

But yeah, I meant the thing that people download on in general: online games, calculators, funny images of some guy washing his car in pouring rain...

You get the point, but shouldn't DLC be for all gaming devices?? I mean, the DS' have downloading functions and the PC, well, implied one has internet, PSP same thing, etc. etc. etc..

The whole thing is basically doing this: :P to people who have anything not console, or have the DS, and giving out other stuff to people who spent a whole heck of a lot more money on Console games and the console itself.

Why pay more for a bunch of 1's and 0's?

Because the creators of the game do this way too much: :ic$:

This is a downright outrage in my opinion and I really hope things get fixed by giving us characters for those other games by not preordering!

Not really. The DS does potentially have the ability to download DLC, but I don't know that any game uses it. Even so, the thing about the handheld versions is that they're very very different from the 360/PS3/PC versions. They would have to make the entire DLC pack a second time for DS, then a third time for PSP.

It depends on what the 1s and 0s make when put together.

Yes, the DS & PSP have downloading capabilities, but they are too primitive for the amount of Information in that DLC. The DS version doesn't even have any online!...as far as I know.

#Sideways# wrote:But yeah, I meant the thing that people download on in general: online games, calculators, funny images of some guy washing his car in pouring rain...

Free downloads & paying money for content are 2 very different things. You don't have to pay for Cheezburger.com, but you DO have to pay for Steam. The reason why they didn't patch the DLC for PC is because there weren't enough players on that particular game to pull in a decent profit.

You don't have to pay for Steam. You have to pay for the games that are on Steam, just like you have to pay for anything, but there's no cost for a Steam account.

Splitting hairs, I know.

The People who create it see money way too often.

Wait...! DLC isn't free!?

And the DS has online functioning, not on any of the TF games, but it does posses online in MP:H and Pokemon B&W. But it could be just one character, or one map, like the Mystery Gift with Pokemon, you go into a Gamestop and you download the content and possibly getting the Gamestop some profit as well because there could be something in there that you want.

Wasn't there already a DLC for the PSP? Or is it the PS3 that I am thinking of?

Pokemon: Fill in the name of the color/gem here______ Can download if the Pokemon game is from the DS.

Yes they are very different, but that would be why they would release like a texture or one character, or a map at most.

Yes, you can download things on the DS...just not this advanced. The code for the DLC is WAAAY more advanced than the sprite & move set for Celebi.

PS3.

And the reason why is who would pay good money for a primitive DLC for a port of a game whose sales paled in comparison to the superior consoles. Sorry bro. But you should invest in an XBOX or something unless you're planning on playing Half-Life.

Also, you never actually download any of the event items in Pokemon. The data is already there, even the code to unlock it isn't downloaded.

Ah, thanks for correcting me on that. :D

Or Portal, for that matter.

Yeah, I am planning on buying a 3DS, so I can't afford another console for now.

Isn't that the same way with DLC? I heard someone looked in the Base Code of ROTF and found files for the DLC Characters.

Not all DLC. I know the Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 DLC all have to be installed, the data isn't in the game by default. The Borderlands DLC packs are the same way too, I think.
