Nope.

The SS toy has the center of the bumper turn right-side-up, but the rest of the bumper still curves downward when it all curves upward on both the movie CG model and the previous Movie Jazz Deluxe toy.

Aside from the inside panels being a little big what isn't screen accurate about the feet? Even in the cross image it looks pretty accurate, miles better than Blackout's feet.

The cross image shows why its innacurate. ther are no giant inside panels on his feet in the CG model. But in the toy, theres this whole chunk of kibble where we should be seeing a hole.

I call a misstransformation. Look like those panels can be folded up right on the side of the feet. There will still be kibble, bit it would be good enough.

No, like I said, the panel is there, it's just much bigger on the figure.

Granted, it isn't the same shape (what on these figures is), but it's in the same spot and painted up the same way with the two gold piece. I don't know if they could have broken it up any or put it somewhere else, but at least it's on the inside of the foot and easily overlooked I think.

I could circle the exact same part in my argument to say just how dissimilar it is. In reality, its just the tank kibble from the front (see below) stuck on somewhere in robot mode.Any similarity is more coincidence than anything else.

I think voyager scale and bigger are the better figures in this line. The two leader from wave 1 were phenomenal (blackout and grimlock). I’m prob gonna only get Brawl. We’ll see.

Dont know about you guys, but I love kibbles. Streamlined toys are not my thing. I like to know where the vehicle parts came from.

Even with the sides of the front bumper upside down and the headlights on the shoulders instead of the wrists, Studio Series Jazz looks miles better than the one and done mold he got 10 years ago. He looks nice and sleek instead of squat and bloated. These figures still have some give and take in them, but overall, they look like much better figures than their previous incarnations. The weird feet on TLK Hound bother me, but I can't deny that the rest of the figure is well sculpted and more detailed than his less "accessorized" AoE version.

Jazz's chest here looks similar to the Human Alliance figure with the majority being 'upside down' with the center part rotated round and I'm cool with that. The upper arms look very much like the HA figure too which isn't strictly accurate (the headlights end up on the forearms on the CGI model and original deluxe) and I do wish the feet would done a bit better as they look so stubby compared to previous but eh overall it looks like a solid figure to me.

I'm even liking Brawl here who isn't one of my fave designs but them pics look much better than previous.

Lockdown looks great. Peru Kill is obviously the most accurate toy rendition of him by far but that's like a MPM scale and this new deluxe is leagues ahead of the AoE one.

Megatron looks like such a fun toy but yeah he's gonna get some silver paint put on him. I'd hoped they would have done that themselves but that's fine. I'll do that then. The figure itself looks great.

So yes I'd like them all thank you.

Now I am curious. The HA version also did the upside down bumper. So I thought that was always what was supposed to happen. So in the film, its never upside down, it just deforms itself to give the robot appropriate proportions in his chest.

I'm fine with considering it a dual purpose part, it's not like the part I circled exists on the figure underneath. Doesn't matter, I'll wait until we get some in-hand shots before I decide if it's really that intrusive to me.

The other 3 look amazingballs though.

What disappoints you about Grimlock?

First and foremost, I hate the (lack of) characterization and design the most out of all movie verse characters. So I'm biased.

Second, I found it to be a rather simple figure for a leader class. Plus, the extremely loose and floppy but and crotch flaps in dino mode were a huge letdown. The figure looks really good though, bad design or not, he looks like he stepped right off the screen.

"Looks like he stepped right off the screen" is really all I need. Simpler transformations don't throw me off if it means the figure looks right in all modes, which it seems like Grimlock does. I'll have to look out for the loose flaps in dino mode. I've softened a bit on Studio Series Bumblebee, though it's still my least favorite acquistion of the series so far because of the roof pieces and arms popping off during transformation. It sounds like at least Grimlock doesn't come apart at the seams, so that's a win in my book.

Side note: How accurate are the yellow, blue, and red used in TLK Slug, Strafe, and Scorn respectively? I know they're played up to be more appealing toys on store shelves, but are those highlights found in their on screen character models? It's hard to tell amongst all the gray and black from screen shots of them, but I think I have seen some red in Scorn and blue in Strage, though I could just be making myself see it. The yellow (or previously purple) for Slug, though, is really tough to justify.

There is defintely some muted red on Scorn, go the the 7 mark below:

And there is some yellow on Slug as well though its not as obvious. Grimlock's green is exactly like the toy, it looks great.

Oh and that clip comes with the iconic lines we expect our nobleand heroic Optimus to say, like "I KILL YOU!" :HEADHURTS:

I think I'll try to pick up TLK Strafe and Scorn, then. I already got Slug on Saturday from a TRU. They were offering an extra 10% on everything at that location, Transformers included. They should all look great with Studio Series Grimlock.

Well, I'd imagine that Prime would be in a bad mood after finding out that most of his friends had been murdered and melted down. That being said, it was kinda jarring hearing that come from Optimus when I first saw the movie.

Slightly off topic, but in a universe where the Decepticons are actually killing people and posing a very real threat (as opposed to, say, building giant purple griffins and getting defeated by a fire extinguisher) and the humans that Optimus gives his all to protect instead start butchering his closest friends, I think his righteous anger is rather justified.

...It was the Autobot Grimlock whom Optimus held his sword at throat and threatened with murder.

And the "I'll kill you!" line was yelled at a mindless KSI robot that had no concept of life, death, or opinions on either. Optimus was basically yelling at a machine, as though yelling at it would have made a difference.

Yeah, Prime's probably had enough by that point of the timeline with the trauma of having had so many close friends killed (some by his own beloved mentor figure, Sentinel) anyways and perhaps is what helped Quintessa turn him into Nemesis since his own resolve had been worn down so much. Maybe I just find him more relatable that way instead of a the optimist (heh) he was moreso in the cartoon (which he can afford to be in that Saturday Morning Cartoon land where nobody dies)

As a kid I had just assumed that part in the 1986 animated film where he turns up and starts blasting Decepticons was the same sorta actual warrior thing that so rarely appeared in the show or comics. I can't imagine he was simply trying to just wound them (even if some of them appeared later on just fine). He was certainly fighting Megatron to the bitter end.

I dunno. Maybe the "I'll kill you" line is a bit strong and strange but I'd rather that than the mopey Prime in some of the later Marvel stories. At least movie Prime gets the job done. No point him having all those cool guns and swords if not gonna use them properly to save us all from being wiped out by properly evil Decepticons. :)

that's just the way my weird low-intelligence mind perceives things anyway. Gimme more toys.:D
