Crap, it just dawned on me. You know we'll be getting 3rd party balls in our future now, wont we?

And the stupid juvenille in me well be tempted, won't I?

I'd like to imagine we won't... But given the seedier 3rd party groups, maybe? I just know that I'm glad the official version won't have them

I've seen some... questionable upgrades pertaining to a 3P Arcee figure

I think wrecking balls for SS Devy is nothing for them, and they will make em

I have sadly also seen that particular upgrade kit, and I just...have no words for it.

Somewhere, someone is already planning a wrecking pair for ss devy. Despite the odd fact that I don't remember any wrecking ball cranes being part of the cons who made devy in Rotf...

That's what I was referring to unfortunately... Hopefully this hopefully nonexistant upgrade kit won't be as graphic...

Probably a bunch, but this is the wrong thread for that conversation

3p discussions should be held in the forum for 3p products, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for there

Hellscream, Trocheman is a new user from what we can see from the amount of board posts, we could give a few more pointers than that.

Trocheman, because the subject of 3rd party updates and toys has been divissive in the past, we chose to give all things 3rd party its own forum.

You can discuss upgrades and ask questions here: unlicensed-and-ko-transformers-toys-f215.php

if you dont see a thread that already exists, feel free to create a new topic there.

SOOOO youre saying i CANT talk about "3P" studio series accessories in a studio series discussion? that makes no sense but whatever you say. lol

ANYWAY...any word on if theyre making any other SS Dinobots from AOE? Grimlock looks awesome and would think the other ones would be great to make Scorn, Slug, Strafe.

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm just now considering picking up Leader Blackout. I found one at the Walmart I work at and the box is damaged, but the figure and Scorponok are not harmed, so if I can get it at a discount (plus my employee discount on top of that) is the figure worth it? I've looked at a couple of reviews, but I'm still not ready to pull the trigger. I like the chopper mode, but not the robot mode. He looks more appealing at $35 than at $50, though.

At 35 i say go for it. Your getting a lot of toy for very little.

So here are some thoughts on the Studio Series Drift and Baby Dinobots.

Drift himself isn't really anything good to write home about, or even really good at all. I liked his AOE toy a good bit, but this one is so much looser. The hips are quite loose, the alt mode roof doesn't like to sit proper in alt mode, and it refuses to grip in robot mode. And his bigger pair of swords are too small to tab into their spots on his back and the really big sword has no where to store, all a shame.

The paintwork is absolutely gorgeous, but he isn't fun to touch let alone pose or do anything with. He needed some more work with joints and sizing.

the Baby Dinobot are where it's really at though. Tops is my absolute favorite, he is so cute! Pterry is pretty good too, and he makes a great percher on the arms. Sharp-T is the weakest of the 3, but he's still adorable.

Overall, I am ok with getting the set cause Baby dinobots are cute. But the bulk of the set needed some more work.

I got both him and SS Barricade brand new.for 3$ each at Walmart. I immediately jumped for those two. For what I payed, both are great figures, if a little fiddly.

I find both modes on both dudes really good and solid, but the transformation between the two modes of both to be a bit of a hell. Blackout is probably even more fiddly than my ROTF Prime.

I love them both though, despite this :x

RoTF Leader Prime is my favorite non-MP TF, I love the complex transformation. So if Blackout is similar, he's definitely worth it. I'll probably pick him up tonight! Thanks! ;)^

Yeah, brand new and from Walmart, but that was way back in March. I think that was more of a system error or something though. I was going to get them for regular retail, then the cashier told me these items weren't found on their computer, which made sense with Blackout, considering he was a bit old and not many stores carry him, but it didn't quite make sense with Barricade, who was brand new at the time, and there were a ton of him in stock there. The cashier ended up just giving me both for 3$ each, which I was really thankful for :D

I'm really happy with both figures as I said earlier.

Now, two days later, when I went back to that same Walmart, I ended up getting a new Siege Sideswipe for 4$, so I gotta ask, does this sort of thing happen with you guys at other Walmarts? I found it really strange to have the same thing happen twice.

How about 450$ for an Optimus Prime?

I dunno, maybe she was just feeling happy today, or maybe she hated her job? I think she was happy though, but eh.

Also, someone on Reddit said they scored SS38 Bumblebee Optimus Prime for 7$ at Walmart when they scanned the price with the app. Can anyone confirm that?

The closest I can say I've come to that kind of deal was in Titans Return, when half of the wave 4 deluxes scanned up at $9.88 and the others $16.97, and the cashier gave me all 4 for the $9.88 price. That was nice.

Everybody should get a Blackout for $3, and for $35, I think he is well worth that price!
I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!

Someone on here got a SDCC Titan class Devastator from Hasbro Toy Shop for 1 cent. Yep, a penny.

The funny part is they probably had to pay for shipping since HTS usually excluded SDCC exclusives from the free shipping at $50.
