I've started not worrying too much about Target pre-orders and quick sellouts online. Thanks to Redwing, the Rainmakers, and now MPM Starscream, Ratchet, and SS Leadfoot, it's become pretty easy to wait and get stuff, it will come to you eventually.

Just placed an order for Leadfoot through in-store pickup. I'll head out later today to get him, I'm really glad I was able to get one! I'm having some flashbacks to picking up HA Leadfoot from Target all those years ago.

Nice! Leadfoot is quite fun, i need to take more pictures with mine, he arrived at shelf adjustment time, so he, Topspin, and Soundwave all got incorporated since those were the shelves I was working on then

Got stupid lucky after getting off work. Not only did I find their last Leadfoot, but also scooped up their only Baroness w/ COIL bike! Getting good and drunk tonight in celebration! :DANCE:

(The blue thing over Steeljaw's eyes was a first take at making sunglasses for him - I'll keep working on that).

Leadfoot is in, and I really like it! I love how they got the chest to compact in particular, it doesnt have all the gaps and empty space that the previous Leadfoot figures had. Proportions are spot-on, sculpting is great, the only thing are those missiles that don't like to stay on in robot mode, which I think I'll be able to fix pretty easily.

I also picked up some metallic red paint while I was out, so I can start painting Leadfoot soon! I'm hoping to have Mixmaster done tomorrow and ROTF Megatron done not too long afterwards.

I finally found Leadfoot tonight! Seems my local Targets were waiting for that 9/11 street date. I'll post my full thoughts tomorrow, but I've only had him for a few hours and he's already lounging on the couch. :lol:

Finished my paint work on Mixmaster! I'm still going back and forth whether I like Mixmaster or Scrapper more, but I do appreciate Mixmaster more after working on it for a while. Much like Jetfire, it's pretty cool that they got a super screen accurate robot to turn into a licensed vehicle mode and combine, with only a few, pretty minor compromises (like Mixmaster's hands being visible in vehicle mode).

Speaking of Jetfire, they scale pretty nicely together!

The missile pods, you can stow them on the roof on his back in robot mode, where the little machine guns go in alt mode

So my SS Cliffjumper arrived Thursday. He is definitely a figure that exists. Right out of the box, I had to shave the ankle and the headsculpt to enable him to move his ankle and for his head to actually look ahead instead of up.

I liked Offroad Bee, but the new parts are pretty weak. he's got a lot of backpack to him, and he doesn't feel as solid, kinda floppy and lots of moving extra parts.

He's OK, but he is the weakest of the 3 deluxes for this wave to me. His alt mode is definitely his better mode, might be staying in that mode

We saw some bigfoot sighting worthy photos of upcoming figures this week-end. But now, we have some clear photos. The issue is, they aren't transformed all that well, but this give us a really good look at what to expect in 2021.

Images of Studio Series 86 Deluxe Kup and Voyager Hot Rod were posted on Vector Sigma. They shouldn't be too different in size since the "size class" price point isn't strictly based on the size of the figure, as anyone who bought "leader class" Doubledealer can attest. Hot Rod is said to come with a lot of accessories, hence the higher price point.

We also see the Fossilizer Paleotrex, whose body can be seperated into weapons. for instance, his robot head can become the mace for Optimusl Primal. You can see that in the previously shown images.

the image we had seen before didn't look to have the visor. idk if that's an alternate head as much as a deployable visor. even horribly miss-transformed as him and kup are... got to admit I am excited. I love my TR and PotP hotrod and kup. but I could easily swap them for these.

This is why it's so important for Hasbro to release images before leaks like this get out. Yeah, we know it's just errors in transformations, but now our first impression of these figures is a Kup that has awkward shoulders and a Hotrod with stumpy arms.
They'll never get that chance to blow me away with awesomeness back. No matter how good the figures are, I'll always remember these mistransformed mistakes.

It's really too bad.

That Kup shows that they aren't really making those figures accurate to sunbow ala MP style. They are adding details that were not present on the animation model (like all that chest detailing). Looks more like another place to put excess WFC figures rather than actually going with the theme of replicating what we see onscreen.

Interesting that this is your takeaway, since I just came away from these pics realizing that Hasbro seems to be much more focused on screen accuracy instead of addition detailing with these since both Kup and Hotrod have SIGNIFICANTLY less panel details and much more blank spaces across their design then anything we've seen from WFC. Disappointing to me, but maybe you like your dedicated G1 accuracy. To each their own!

Yep, overflow WFC figures. Had to release a certain high number of G1 figures, and wanted to finally get some Beast Wars into the mix since it's been hammered into them for a decade or so, so the other G1 figures go to/infect SS.
