Hopefully the next fan first Friday focuses primarily on studio series (without 86) and some of that bumblebee stuff

I'm not getting my hopes up. The design team appears to have a giant G1 boner that they still can't seem to satisfy no matter how many versions of the same toys they keep making and how many lines they take over.

Unfortunately I too am hardened by geewun and its nice to see the toys getting some solid figures after 30+ years
That being said there's no reason for fans of the live action fans to have to wait as long with modern engineering

I would say with a little patience they'll hop off the g1 anniversary marketing considering there are new films in development and hopefully the next fan first Friday will be all about Jolt, Soundwave, etc

Until then ill be enjoying this while my bank account has its arteries slashed and slowly bleeds out

For what it's worth, I recently learned that in toy companies there's a lot of lateral turnovers, brand managers change roughly every two years while toys have a three-year production cycle. Might explain why we see a lot of the same characters over and over, the new brand managers want to make their OWN versions of those characters.

lol, sorry, I didn't really comprehend what was being said, it's been a long week for me at work and I'm not really functioning at my fullest right now

I wanna know if anyone feels like this, but I don't want to see whatever the current movie is,to have its toys only on the Studio Series.(At least not before the movie is out.)
Because of they way the schedule works diffrently on the movie crew and toy design,it means in order to the toys be ready when the movie releases, the HasTak designers may have use only unfinished designs for the line.
It happened more than once.
The solution would be an separete toyline, but I understand it would be a difficult decision for HasTak,because it would probably mean no cartoon based toyline.I believe there is still enough movie characters without updates to justify the Studio Series

I'd imagine it'd be the case for how Bumblebee was handled, the characters will pop up in Studio Series but there will also be a cheaper, more kid accessible toyline

This makes sense, and it also means that we should expect that the first SS toys of figures from the new movie may not be that screen accurate like car Shatter and helicopter Dropkick, or even the door wings on WV Bee.

3D printed an Allspark to go with my Studio Series figures! Kinda surprised we haven’t gotten an official one for the line, it’d be a neat inclusion if they do a Studio Series weapon pack.

Man, I am so disappointed that only SS86 reveals happened last week, very depressing.

Equally depressing is the fact that we don't have any new SS bayverse listings outside the Grindor/Jolt/Bee listings that should have been revealed Friday but weren't. There are Bay guys that still need done, and here we are spinning in circles again.

I still can't believe we are getting a G1 Slug before the live action one, considering Grimlock came out now over 3 years ago.

Bay Movie wise, bots we still need in SS include (non-revealed listings not included):

2007: Frenzy
RotF: the Twins, Jolt, The Fallen, Sideswipe, maybe a pack in Reedman and Alice minifig?
DotM: Que, Hatchet, Ironhide (with new guns), Bee, Driller, Devcon, maybe a gunship with protoform pilot?
AOE: Slug, Strafe, Scorn, Two-heads, More vehicons are welcome, Galvatron, a new go at Prime, maybe a Steeljaw minifig?
TLK: Mohawk, Dreadbot, Onslaught, a new Barricade(?), a proper Infernocus (Commander class preferably), a new Hot Rod that is more accurate, Canopy, how about some more knights? And a Nemesis repaint of Prime.

I mean, there really aren't a lot, this can be done, we are close!

On a different Studio Series note, I just packed the rest of mine up for my movie, here are some pics of favorites and of some taken to the office before they were put into stasis.

I like this mold, and I feel like I needed to stock up on Shadow Raiders. i needed to go in on some henchmen

One of the dreams come true from SS. Love this guy so so soooooooo much

I still say these molds are actually good. and they are a great pair.

They really improved on this combo, but I cannot wait for the ThreeZero version.

Another dream finally made true

I love this 4 armed freak

2 of my favorites right here

And finally, still the best constructicon and maybe the best single con from SS

I'm also disappointed in the lack of reveals and releases in general, but the pics you posted really make me appreciate the figures we've gotten so far. Like, SS DOTM Prime is the movie Optimus Prime I've always wanted, it's amazing.

I really like the deco on that Universal Megatron! Do you have any vehicle mode pics? I don't know if I've seen any in-hand vehicle mode pics of that one yet.

There's definitely a fair amount of the roster left to fill like you said, but what we have so far is pretty awesome.

If you want to add Transformers: The Ride 3D to that list, there's also Evac, whose original toy feels dated, now, compared to the SS figures.

And, if Hasbro were to ever dabble in making Transformers toys of ordinary Movieverse vehicles again (like how the tow truck from Movie 1 was used to make Longarm, or the NEST buggies were used to make Landmine), they could make toys out of the armored NEST van that delivered the AllSpark shard to the Ride at its grand opening ceremony in California, or toys of the Black Diamond Jet Team's planes from the Orlando ride's grand opening ceremony.

Personally, even if they didn't announce any new SS figures I'd be super happy if they rereleased some of the older figures. Even if it was a future Buzzworthy wave I could really use Lockdown, Stinger, Ratchet and Ironhide among others as I was really only buying SS figures I found on clearance at the time. Looks like I'll be able to get Ratchet from the Takara Tomy Premium line so there's that, shame the rest are going for outrageous prices on eBay.

The problem with that is most of the Buzzworthy line figures are Bee himself. 3 out of 4 of the first deluxes were Bee and the only one that wasn't Bee was from the Bee movie.

Because if sideways is to be a retool of anyone,it would make more sense it would be Barricade.

I figure Stinger at least has a chance in Buzzworthy since he's his "knockoff". I could use a car Dropkick, too, not going to pay $40+ on eBay for that for sure. It's my own fault for being late getting these figures and I can live without them, but I'm sure I'm not alone.

It’s a long shot, but I would absolutely love another KSI Sentry in the Buzzworthy line. Though I get the feeling he’d sell like hotcakes during the breakfast rush.

I regret passing on DotM Ratchet, Clunker Bee, and the OG Starscream, those 3 are hard to get now, and are the only 3 retail bots I do not own yet.

I also wish i had bought 2 KSI Sentries and 2 Shadow Raiders, at least. Only got 1 of each just a few months ago.

This Universal version look too clean. Like some mysterious phantom....
Heeeeeeyyyyyy..... Thinking about it, he may look pretty awesome with that Amazon exclusive "dead" ER Optimus Prime in some sort of multiverse purgatory! 8-)

I also wish i had bought 2 KSI Sentries and 2 Shadow Raiders, at least. Only got 1 of each just a few months ago.

Here ya go!

Thank you! Wow, that looks really good.

I’m in the opposite boat on older figures I want to pick up: I have DOTM Ratchet and 07 Starscream already, but I’d like to get 07 Ratchet and ROTF Starscream at some point in the future.

This Universal version look too clean. Like some mysterious phantom.
I always looked at this one as the step between the RoTF version (still silver, new alt mode) and the DoTM version (same altmode, new deco). If you line them up side by side, you can see every step of the physical change Megatron went through between the 2 movies.

Plus, Universal Studios Megatron is the one that gets to gleefully insult kids to the faces. :P

Why has Scourge got a squashed-up, "toon" styled insignia (with silver, toy-styled outline), when his hey mode insignia isn't squashed? Why then, has Cyclonus got a normal insignia with no silver outline?

I would guess because Scourge is a Studio Series cartoon figure and Cyclonus isn't.

That doesn't really answer the question though, because the other studio series figures don't feature this style. Someone else stated that SS Kup sports a Bayverse Autobot symbol too.
