Was thinking about this the other day because I've never seen anyone on this board talk about it. I know the game was released a couple years ago but I still play it sometimes. After the game was released they hinted heavily at a sequel but so far nothing is in the works. According to Gamespot.com the only thing they are working on is a game based on the movie.

Yeah I meant the one based on Armada. I thought it was a good game and playing it on Commander mode was definately fun and challenging

The Armada game is better than the cartoon.

i like it but there are some major problems with physics in the game.mainly the whole thing of using rag doll mechanics on the bots.can't tell you how annoying it was to get hit by a rocket and have prime flop around like bendy prime.

I agree. Other than the physics, Armada was a really good game especially on the tidal wave level. The japanese G1 Transformers game was just a steaming pile that I would feel bad if I gave it to somebody I didn't like!!!

I found the easiest way to beat tidal wave was to use hailfire missles and the shield that blocked missle attacks and just hit him when he bends down to look at you. I just hid from his random laser blasts and laughed while his missles did nothing to me. he was near impossible though on commander mode because I couldn't get the missle shield until after i beat him

I loved the PS2 game.
It is one of my favorite PS2 games. Gave me good practice at getting used to moving and shifting sight with two joysticks. Made me pick up my armor core game and continue playing it because I wanted more transformers-like action.

I thought the game difficulty was actually pretty good for me. I mean it was tough enough that I just just crush the game the first time through. I had to stop and think about what I was doing, else I lost. But there wasn't any fustratingly unbeatable parts either. Then on Commander mode, it increased the difficulty enough to completely change the way I played the game.

The first time I played it through, I pretty much just used Red Alert the entire time, Prime for the bosses, and hot shot only when retrieving mini-cons.

And the first time against Tidal Wave, I used the missle shield & buildup, (making me near invincible) and stood on the first island, looking straight up and firing my sniper rifle at the guy's head, piece of cake

Then in commander mode, I didn't use red alert at all. Mainly I used hotshot. Since I knew exactly where to go and how to get the mini-cons, I just raced past enemies, left and right. The speed booster became my best friend.
In commander mode vs Tidal Wave, I had a tough time, but figured out a way to get him. I had the sniper rifle, speed boast, and the extra range with prime. I just went to the middle of the pool of water, where Tidal wave couldn't reach me with his missles or lasers. When he was finished firing, I'd walk slightly into range, fire at him, then boost away when his missles came near me.
The toughest part was killing all those flying guys he released.

Later in the last stage, I had a tough time beating this one bunker. The one with no objects and 4 groups of 3 medium drones with shields and a swordguy. Nowhere to hide and not enough fire power to kill them faster then me dieing.
That is until I crushed them using the Vortex mini-con, you know, the near useless one that whips out a tornado that throws the guys into the air doing moderate damage with a long recharge time. In the bunkers, they make the guys hit the ceilings and take more damage.
