Transformers: The Last Knight Non-Toy Products Discussion Thread

Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
It begins. With New York Comic Con 2016 underway in the Big Apple, we have our first official product from the upcoming Paramount movie Transformers: The Last Knight, due in cinemas in summer 2017. The news comes from the Hollywood Reporter, who unveil the latest voice-changing helmet from Hasbro, of course modelled after the latest incarnation of Optimus Prime, though all we have so far is a simple image mirrored below. Stay tuned for more to come, possibly during the livestream from New York!

Transformers fans who have spent years wishing that they could roll out just like Autobot leader Optimus Prime get some good news this New York Comic Con, with Hasbro unveiling an Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet at the event to tie-in with next year's Transformers: The Last Knight release.

The helmet, which features 21 button-activated sounds and phrases from Transformers lore, will not be available until Spring 2017 but fans can see it in action — and more importantly, hear it in action as part of the #NYCCLive livestream at 1:15 p.m. ET Thursday.

The Voice Changer Helmet — the most sophisticated yet released by Hasbro — is the first announced collectible for next year's The Last Knight movie, which is currently in production for a June 23, 2017 release. Perhaps one of its phrases might explain what Optimus is doing hanging out with dragons in early promotional images for the movie…

New York Comic Con runs through Oct. 9 at the Javits Center and other locations in New York City.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT OPTIMUS PRIME Voice Changer Helmet

(Ages 6 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $79.99/Available: Spring 2017)

“Autobots, we are here… and we are waiting…” These epic words from OPTIMUS PRIME have inspired millions of TRANSFORMERS fans from around the globe to join the cause and fight for the freedom of all sentient beings. Now fans can issue the AUTOBOT call to arms themselves with the TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT OPTIMUS PRIME Voice Changer Helmet. This First Edition helmet leads the charge as the debut collectible for TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT, allowing fans to don the helmet and change their own voice into the iconic intonation of OPTIMUS PRIME. In addition to the power commanding OPTIMUS PRIME voice feature, the helmet comes loaded with 21 button-activated TRANSFORMERS sounds and phrases, including a screaming Cybertronian battle riff. Requires 3 AA batteries, not included. Available at most major retailers nationwide and on HasbroToyShop.com.

Looks awesome! The paint used on the helmet & the detailing looks great. :D What's even more eye-captivating is the new look of the packaging. Glad that :HASBRO: managed to take note of the cheaply-designed packaging & changed it to look more movie-esque, and they did it with this one! :APPLAUSE: It looks cool! Hope they use this kind of package design for The Last Knight toys & the merchandise. However, let's wait for the movie figures to reveal themselves & check out their paint schemes, especially the recently revealed TLK Voyager Class Optimus Prime: great design & 100% movie accurate but cheap paint job...

Looks very cool. I still wear my 2007 Prime helmet from time to time. Did a video game stream from my PS4 playing Transformers: Devastation while wearing the helmet. It did get bloody hot in there though. :P
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool! :)

Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

Heartily seconded! That image of Optimus on the front is spectacular, and the red and black details remind me of the first movie packaging, which was great!

Helmet does look good, even looks to be accurately painted compared to the character image on the box. It also just goes to enforce how the Voyager Optimus Prime figure has far too much blue on its head.

How is a voice-changing helmet NOT a toy? Is it meant for serious business?
