I just had a thought. What if the Leader Class Deathsaurus rumored for Wave 6 is actually a POTP toy, like with CW Buzzsaw (and how Blaster, Rewind, and Stripes were also meant to be in CW)?

Officially, as per the instructions, the titan master is meant to come off and interact with the different modes, but you can all do as you wish.

This has got to be the worst argument in the history of this board. I would imagine that, with any understanding of the central gimmick of the Titans Return toy line, specified instructions to remove a Headmaster figure would be implicitly understood, and therefore not be something that not looking at the instruction sheet would necessitate.

On top of that, it is actually the purchaser's prerogative to play with a toy however they so deem fit, so that if a person wished to not remove the Headmaster, and the transformation allowed this without additional difficulty, that shouldn't really be an issue to anyone else.

If people are mislead, shouldn't they have referred to the instructions? So what's the actual argument here, other than the instructions say it, hail instructions and Hasbro? Are we not allowed to enjoy our toys the way we want to?

If my assumption is correct, it could provide credibility to the rumor that all the contestants will get figures.

With multiple U.S. sightings/purchases of Six Shot at Target stores recently it gives me hope I'll be able to get him soon. Most Targets in my area have one or zero Leaders in stock, so the whole "we wont order because we have others in stock" should not be a problem. But most of the Wal-Marts don't have Leaders either, and they always seem to be missing, except for the one that has 4 Leader Skywarps...man I wonder how they are ever going to get rid of those.

Also the fact that I didn't see Soundwave until last week at a Wal-Mart....It just seems like some chains are getting some toys, and not others...or way off.

case in point: I've never seen Titan Masters at TRU, then again I've ONLY seen Fort Max at TRU.

Targets seem to focus on Legends, Wal-Marts seem to have Leaders (when they are in stock which is not often), and Deluxes, and everyone seems to have Voyagers. Then oddly enough, sometimes the pattern reverses itself. I guess it just seems crazy, I think back to the days at TRU, Kay-Bee etc...when toys seemingly were always in stock, I know its a different world now, but seeing shelves more empty than full gets depressing at times.

Does anyone know if the Titans Return Blitzwing has stickers, or if his detailing is all tampos?
I remember I was pleasantly surprised by Brainstorm (I could have sworn his wings were going to be stickers).

While it's indeed impossible to tell from official documentation, it would appear that every figure has some intended way to secure TMs, whether they work or not. Those seemingly useless holes on the back of Titan Master calves? They peg into tabs inside Wolfwire's cockpit, something I failed to notice for a good few months! (Though, has anyone worked out where/what the securing-points are for Skullsmasher/Hot Rod? I assume they're the regular heel-slots buried somewhere in the pilot areas, but again I have yet to actually get anything to work at holding them in securely.)

EDIT: Actually, upon further examination of Chromedome: Huh, what, how? I guess I must just have been thinking of Blurr, because I can't see a single thing in Chromedome's driver area that would secure a Titan Master. Where is this ankle hole and how may it be used, so that Stylor and Rev can finally sit comfortably?

Sorry Blurr would have been a better example - as would some of the Titanmaster mini-vehicles. There is a slot there to allow the heel spur to fit but it's to loose and wide to be of any use really. I had been mostly securing him with the arms the slot just helps him not rattle around as much.

As for Blurr or Titanmaster Brawn when he's driving his car and not transformed to merge with it - I push his feet into the securing slot with the handle of a fine modelling brush or the tail of a biro top or something like that that isn't going to scratch anything.

As for the conversation point of instructions - It took me a moment or two's contemplation to figure out how PM Optimus' seat worked as the Instruction were of no real help there - and they were not great for the base mode either. (or "City Mode" If Death is reading this).

Hah, please, get on my level. As of two days ago, my Target has 23 Leader Skywarps! (Though they originally stocked 40, so I guess they are actually being moved somehow.) Haven't seen any new Leaders since Wave 1 (Soundwave turned up for a little while too, but the store that carried him ran out of Soundwaves and then closed down), and at this point with no new TR since pre-Christmas, Blaster is looking more and more tempting... but I need to save for the upcoming figures! Liking things is so hard.

I do indeed live in Australia, but even in an individual store the shelf-space for TFs can vary drastically. In that same store, about 8 months ago, the entire Transformers section literally consisted of two Legends Blackjacks - and even now, the biggest it's been since AoE, the shelf-space is only about 2-3 feet across! I wouldn't have believed they could fit 40 Leaders in either - but when they brought in those Skywarps, they made room for those Skywarps.

Especially odd, since they only got in 4 Leaders for the start of TR and then followed those up a month later with a flood of old figures that they'd shown no indication of ever having before then. Who can fathom retail; Australian, American or otherwise.

Stickers aside, this is kinda something that's been bothering me a little.

Now to preface it; I do love the remolding done to better resemble Blitzwing, and I do know the mold was originally made for Blitzwing and Megatron was just a minor retool they were able to get out of him. And I know that we only have photos and for all we know it could be an incredibly different story in hand. And yes, already this Blitzwing is looking far, far superior to the Thrilling 30 version.

But does anyone else feel that Megatron just wears this mold a hundred times better than Blitzwing? The colours just work so much better for me and a lot of elements in place (especially the lower stomach) just scream Megatron so much more to me. He is (imo) the definitive CHUG Megatron but I really didn't expect it to the degree he'd work for the mold better.

Then again it might just be the choice of colours Hasbro went for with Blitzwing. I get that it's accurate to the toy (as well as Marvel and a few issues of IDW), but the purple face just feels wrong to me. It's really off-putting and... and I don't say this a lot, but this is a case where I really find myself wanting to see Takara do cartoon-accurate colours on this guy because the grey face would just be so much better.

I dunno. Blitzwing looks awesome to me, but at the same time his colour placements are just... not quite right. And it just feels like Megatron uses Blitzwing's own body better.

I know what you mean. Myself I can't stomach the Megatron version of the mold because of the weedy fusion cannon, the stickers and that horrible grey plastic. I mean for the love of Primus, if you're gonna do Megatron, either do him a good flat grey (like MP Megatron 2.0) or shiny silver (like the CW figure). That waxy, almost but not quite metallic "Games Workshop Grey" plastic is just atrocious.

I'll probably if at all possible get the Takara release of Blitzwing, for the better colours and hopefully lack of stickers. That said the only stickers seem to be the faction symbols and the wing stripes, and the latter should be a piece of cake for me to remove and apply the pattern with my airbrush. Well, once I have a spray booth anyway, but I digress. Not that that makes it OK, but if I have to get the Hasbro version at least I can fix it.

As for Megatron, even if Takara does a better job on him, I don't really fancy Megatron sharing a mold with Blitzwing. It just doesn't feel right. Also (as you've all heard a thousand times) I'm making my own Megatron out of Universe 2.0 Dropshot (with new head courtesy of the wonderful GlauG). Fusion cannon? Pah! Try double fusion rocket pods with flip out anti-matter cannon and twin particle guns!

I feel the same way, Black Hat - I love CW Megz and am dying to have MP Megz 2.0.

His colour placement is wrong. The whole idea is that the tank and jet are two totally different colours, hence working with how different the modes are. But to make him sleeker, Hasbro reuses the same parts for the jet for the tank so you end up with a half purple half tan tank instead of it being all tan. Plus you end up with a purple tank cannon, which is really dumb and hurts the cohesiveness of the alt mode.

Since Megatron is all one colour scheme, every mode ends up looking more cohesive.

So yeah, you are not alone, I think megatron rocks this mold. Especially with that strong upper body and that abdominal area.

Also, to all those who say that Generations toys fly off the shelves, here's my counterargument:



Sure, its well stocked, if well stocked means the same 5 figures a billion times.

I wont be seeing new releases till this **** gets sold.

The same thing has been noted about movie junk for years as well though, this is not remotely anything unique to Generations figures.
Also, it is well stocked, it's just really crappily arranged. If those figures were actually shelved in single file lines, like deep towards the rear of the shelves, there would be more room for other shelfwarming figures, like the simplified RID figures, and the eventual movie tie in things that never sell, like sparking Dinobot car things and multiple Bumblebees.
