Huh. First I liked how she looked, then I thought the proportions were odd, then I got over it.
...In the span of about three minutes. Weird. Oh well, now I'm a bit more willing to put her on the shelf. Might have to check again, but she might be my first fembot...

She looks too butch for Windblade. But as someone else... yeah, it's a good looking mould. Except the head. Head is far too small. Or should I say face, since she has the same sized head as everyone else in this line.

If someone thinks this can be redeco as Slipstream, we had about 50-50

I was going to settle for painting up the RID Windblade, but this...this is gorgeous. She needs her proper sword (those swords with seats on them are just not her style) but that aside she's great. Cute face, neat jet mode (at least by Windblade toys' desperately low standards) and dear god those proportions. Unf.

I was planning on getting her anyways, but this pic really sold me. She looks great.



Also glad I'm not the only one who takes pictures of Transformers in their cubicle.

He wings still sit so low on her robot mode back.

Looking at the pictures again I'm seeing a transformation here that's terribly disappointing in its simplicity. Flip out the legs, flip back the cockpit, pull out the arms, push the legs up (like on Highbrow and Scourge), put on the Titan Master and you're done. It's so simple that there's so much more they could have done like making the thighs better or pulling the wings up a little or maybe even being able to turn the wings around so they're not backwards-facing. Just so many little details they could have added; this is barely as complex as a Cyber Battalion.

... that said it's still Windblade, and both modes still look good, so still buying. Just wish the transformation was the slightest bit more involved.

Those wing rotors could take someone's face off. They're at the right general height.

In all seriousness I agree about the transformation, it looks a bit plain considering some of the amazing conversions we've had in this line. Still, the jet mode looks decent and the robot mode looks great (if a little...voluptuous). I just wish she had wrist swivels...

I love this Windblade, she looks great and the jet mode looks good too. Really looking forward to her.

He might as well. he lives in canada, as do I, and all those promotions only work for the US. Even when it says there is free shipping, it never applies to us and the base shipping fee will be $30. Even though we are neighboring countries, canada is sen as an international location and shipping from the US is the same price as shipping something from Japan (hence why, if ever a toy never come to canada like Gen Arcee, I will just buy the takara version from japan, same shipping fee).

I feel that is standard with this line. Sure, we have gotten some really incredible transformations with Kup, Topspin, triggerhappy and Blurr but the rest havent been so hot since many were aping their G1 toy selves which were very basic transformations.

True, but even Chromedome felt like he had an extra trick or two up his sleeve. Windblade doesn't seem to have... anything, really.

Still, this should easily go well with my T30 Chromia, Armada Starscream and CW Combaticons. I hope those Elita-1 POTP rumours come true to finish off my favourite-TAAO-characters collection...

edit: Tell a lie, completely forgot I need a decent Wheeljack and Ironhide. Shame none exist...

You know what was crazy frustrating? I was having dinner with somene who was working on the POTP line and he knew all deluxes coming out and we couldnt talk about it AAAAARRRRRGH. Of course, its understandable, the stuff is classified. But man, if ther was one time I wanted to be able to read minds.

Proportions do seem off but maybe I'll warm up to it when i see her on the shelves. It does a better job of hiding the legs than the Thrilling 30 figure though, I'll give it that.

It looks the same as the old figure. No better, no worse. The sole purpose of this mold is to make this unwanted character a headmaster and shove her down our throats a 3rd time. Every line gets a windblade. She is on her way to becoming the new Bumblebee. If they wanna do a fembot headmaster so bad, how about Arcee who actually was a headmaster? (Blurr mold with exo suit daniel)

Dang, I was just going to get her and put a different head on her to make another fembot (being as I have the original Windblade and prefer it) but it seems like it would be such a shame to toss that head-sculpt into a drawer.

I disagree. At the very least, this figure at least looks like it can stand, god I hate those useless heels on the Thrilling 30 version. Also, the jet mode hides the legs much better than the T30 version.

Thriling 30 and Titans Returns are both still the generations line, so really only 3 molds across 2 lines. The movie line doesn't have one (yet, shudder). Also, she may be unwanted to you, but there are plenty of fans of her regardless of her origin and being "forced" upon us.

She's going to need about 5 molds across the 3 lines all out at the same time to even approach bumblebee status. No clue why they didn't do Arcee though, would have made a lot more sense. My only thought is that so many people hate the Thrilling 30 figure that they felt she needed a better figure

Well let's not kid ourselves; Hasbro IS trying to push Windblade. That's why she's in this line, that's why she's the main character in Machinima Prime Wars, that's why she got her own (very good) comic, that's why she's in RiD with next to no design changes. It seems in part to be due to their recent push to include more female characters so it's not as much of an over-saturation in male characters as it used to be, but it's also certainly in part due to the whole fan poll thing.

I'm just glad she's a great character; so it's a bit more like Optimus for me - yeah there's a billion figures, but also I like the character, so... sweet. Gives me options


Arcee's apparently happening as a Titan Master redeco of Loudmouth. So we get something... and I think Misfire will be the only body to colour match her. Maybe Alpha Trion? That'd be really weird.

He revealed nothing, which is not surprising (the dude cares for his job). Also, if he had revealed anything, I would have been under oath as well. A few of us staff members are called to do interviews for the site sometimes and this was my first time. You can meet these same people when you go to TF Con, SDCC or what used to be Botcon.

There has been a lot of love for the recent Takara reveal of Misfire and assumptions of its superior deco over Hasbro's. However, we had never had the finished deco for Hasbro's Misfire. Thanks to our usual Weibo source, we finally do and we can now finally compare them properly. The same source also had in package images of Windblade and Topspin. These are the only new toys part of this wave with the fourth toy being Wolfwire.

I like that jewel tone ...violet? I can never keep the names of colors straight.

When I heard about this figure I was pretty much "Ugh, another bloody Windblade."

Having seen it though...I kinnnnda want to get her now. The face sculpt and deco are pretty damn nice, the figure itself is decently proportioned (imo) in both modes.

Yeah, I think probably if I see her in the store I'll snap her up.
