They stopped making Legion Class figures after Prime ended. Perhaps you mean Legends Class? In that case, Wheelie, Rumble, And Stripes are all Legends Class figures.
HI 5! I am also most excited for Alpha Lion. He and Vector Prime are gonna tear it up!Hellscream9999 wrote: But as far as 'cool as it gets', I'm siding with Alpha Trion, who is now my new Sky Reign (bet'cha never thought that would be a thing)

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

That couldn't be further from the truth. The groin is the same but backwards, the forearms and feet are the same but the shoulders, shins and thighs are remolded and the torso is completely new
I own Metroplex, and I can totally confirm that Fort Max's crotch is Metroplex's crotch put on backwards.
They even kept the pivot hinge the right arm is now attached to (formerly the left), which, by the way, doesn't even seem to serve a purpose for him now...
I can plainly see that it is significantly different now, but, lets not go and pull one over ourselves if he really is metro facing another direction
Metro is way too thin to be the same as Fort max.
That's because they added the tower halves to his abdomen area

Looking at it again they did use his torso as a base but saying that it's just him turned around with the towers attached is an overstatement. There's plenty of new and fresh molding done to it that sets the figure apart from his mold mate. This is more than a simple retool.
Yep, not a simple retool, a super-thoroughly extensive retool/reshell.DigitalBrave3 wrote:That is the exact message I was trying to get across earlier! This isn't a simple retool, this is so much more!

I was not disappointed by any of the reveals. To me, Max is an improvement over Metro and I will buy him and he looks awesome. The new guys all look good and the titan masters seems to be some fun stuff I look forward to.
Still waiting on my boy A3. Next time. Gotta soak in the titan first.
Chromedome and Dead End share looks, and it looks like Domey was based on DE, but to me it looks like they did enough to actually call it a new mold, and I like it as it works for Domey very well.
Looking forward to more!

I also think Fort Max looks a lot better than Metroplex.

that is my current opinion too! even his alt modes look a bit better and more integrated
Sabrblade wrote:While I agree that I think Fort Max looks better than Metroplex (and I just like Fort Max more than Metroplex in general), I kinda feel like I still like the original G1 Fort Max more than this new one, modern articulation be darned.

The original is very cool, and the transformation and sheer size and imposing look cannot be challenged. But for an update based on another mold using new articulation and the new headmaster system, it is really cool looking

I have also always been more of a fan of Fortress Maximus than Metroplex. I personally think the TR Fort Max is just as cool as the original, which is my second most desired Transformers figure.
DigitalBrave3 wrote:RodimusRex wrote:Brainstorm would make a nice Dai Atlas.
A Titans Return Dai Atlas would be amazing! except I think Brainstorm is remolded from Blurr.

Sabrblade wrote:Will, I am not stating any opinion. I am stating what I see based on careful observations of the Chromedome photos, the Dead End figure I have on hand, and the comparisons I have made between the two, in which I can definitely say that, while the two share similar aesthetics and design elements, I see no base parts that are indentically sculpted between the two figure beyond some minuscule rudimentary components (namely joints) that are shared across many figures that Hasbro/TakaraTomy have developed. This is not my opinion, but it is my observation.william-james88 wrote:Thats not a source that just your opinion based on what you qualify as a retool.
DigitalBrave3 wrote:I think people need to shut up about Fort Max being a remold of Metroplex. I personally think it it's a similar case to Titans Return Cromedome, it's so different we can't exactly call it a remold.
DigitalBrave3 wrote:The Cromedome/Dead End thing is pretty stupid too. I agree with you on that, but I just personally don't think that Fortress Naximus is a retool of Metroplex. They're likely just similar figures that share a few parts. Hasbro has done that kinda thing before, I believe, so my theory is possible.

I'm much more partial to the more toy-accurate look of Fortress from The Headmasters.

If you change every single piece of a mold to the extent that none of its pieces are the same as they were before, how is it then still the same mold if literally nothing about it is the same anymore? How is it not an all new mold, inspired by a preexisting mold, by that point?william-james88 wrote:By my definition, the fact that they retooled every inch of that mold, thus reworking every piece of the older mold, still makes it a retool.
How is this case of Chromedome any different from the above examples?Other cases like this would be:
- The G1 Bumblebee, G1 Cliffjumper, and G1 Bumper molds
- The G1 Runabout and G1 Runamuck molds
- The Alternators Smokescreen and Alternators Meister molds
- The Energon Sledge/Bonecrusher and Cybertron Hardtop molds
- The Prime Cyberverse Legion Knock Out and Prime Beast Hunters Cyberverse Legion Smokescreen molds
- The DOTM Deluxe Roadbuster and AOE Deluxe Lockdown molds

No need to laugh at me. I am not accustomed the G1 Fort Max or these characters and their functions. I didnt know that was cerebros up there, thats pretty cool. it not being obvious to me means they did a good job integrating him well within the base.
I thank the community for having shown me where he was in the picture.
