They really are for kids. But I do like them better than any previous approach to that kind of audience. They are better propotioned and look much better with traditional engineering, that can let any young fan join in on the fun we are having without finding anything complicated. I do with there was more articulation though and it really sucks seeing molded hinges on jetfire's knees, knowing he has none.

And wouldn't you know it, despite carefully looking for defects, I ended up with a Primal with a plastic marring mark on one of the robot mode kneepads. Just my luck, my Laserbeak and Topspin have the same type of issue

I found the figure to be very fun in a more toy like form than I'm used to. It also looks cool in a big menacing way next to all my other Primes.

Thanks for the DL, that'll make it an easy pass next time I spot them. Jetfire was the only one I was interested in. The pics on the box are so deceptively nice looking. I also don't need two big ass Jetfires.

Jetfire isn't great, but Prowl is well worth the price. The only articulation he's lacking is a bicep, waist, and wrist swivels, the last two I consider optional. He has full range of motion in his hips and shoulders so you can still cheat and just have his arm point out straight to the side to make up for the lack of bicep swivel in poses. Since he's basically Voyager size I think he'll look good with the CW Constructicons.

As for me, I had a really good week! Found TLK Deluxe Sqweeks at Walmart Monday morning, just sitting in a stack on the top shelf because the pegs are still packed with wave one. Then that afternoon my Arcees arrived from TRU.com. Today I finally found the Walgreens clones while doing some Black Friday shopping, while over at Target I was able to get Legends Seaspray, first time I've seen him. I was hoping to find PotP, but I wasn't going to bother anyone to check the back when they'll be everywhere soon enough.

Oh, what a stroke of luck! Some asshole stole the Bumblebee from the RiD "Platinum" Grimlock and Bee deluxe set. The only TRUE Transformer left at Winners. Because of that stolen Bee, the price of that box was reduced to 30$CAN plus taxes. That's the normal price for a standard voyager usually. Not really a deal but in the grand scheme of things, it IS an AMAZING deal.



Seriously, not having to pay 50$ or 80$+ AND not having to triple-dip on a RiD deluxe Bee is just perfect. Plus, the Bee sword was still there. I'll use it for one of my upcoming custom.

That Grimlock was well worth the 34.50$CAN. Not only this is 90% retooled from the original, they used at least two buckets of paint on that thing! So pretty! (Appart the hollow underside of the dino, but eh.) At last I have him and he's now on display next to my G1 and MP Grimlocks.

He is lacking one crucial joint on his hips, the swivel, meaning he can only have his legs facing 1 way. I think this is severely lacking. The articulation on Legends class figures is better than this.

What a surprise this is. On an outing I visited one my local Ross stores, to see if they had those Autobots Unite packs in. Sure enough, it had one, which I got:

It happens to be my no. 1 set to get, because of the TLK Megatron and the Prime Breakdown molds. Now, there I found a surprise, a rather big one. Two years ago, Ross had AoE First Edition Optimus Prime, anyone remember? Well, we got a bit of a repeat this year, and I snagged one because my wife told me to once I told her about it :

Wish our Ross was that awesome. Our Ross never has anything. I was able to get POTP Swoop, Dreadwind x2, and Slug x2 as well as beachcomber x2 and dinobot slash. Was hoping to see the Grimlock and Starscream figures but no dice. Didn't see Jazz either but he was on my radar. Saved some money too as Target had their buy one and get one at 50% off.

Not really for myself, but I picked up a new Overlord for a family member as a Christmas gift. My brother also collects.

I have to say, I'm impressed with the figure, or at least from what I've seen through the box (no, I didn't open my brother's present to play with it myself--although it was tempting.) I guess having Overlord as a Headmaster is a little disappointing.

I have the original Masterforce version and briefly compared the too. Masterforce Overlord is a lot bigger. Nearly twice as big, as a matter of fact. He also has two Powermasters (Mega and Giga) and has a scout car, which is cool. However, it looks like Titan Master Overlord handles his kibble better.

Still, this would probably be well worth the buy if I were in the market for an Overlord toy.

TR Overlord is an excellent figure and a fun toy to boot. I do wish he would have came with a second TM, but I can borrow a buddy to pilot the other have of vehicle mode. If IIRC, OL can be transformed without removing the TM if headmastering isn't you're bag. He can also store two buddies in his chesticles. I'd give OL a high recommendation and wouldn't hold it against you if your brother ended up with socks for xmas

So good and bad news today. Good news is I got my POTP deluxes from HTS. Dang they're fast! I ordered it on TG day and it arrived this morning. I damn near missed the FedEx guy as I was just out the door and he initially drove past the house.

I literally only opened up all the figures minutes ago. FWIW, my super initial reactions:
- The Dinobots are all sorts of awesome sauce. The bots do look and feel smaller than I'd like, but they're still awesome.
- Jazz looks meh. Limbs are also noticeably floppier than the other figures from this wave. Not sure I prefer him over the RTS version. This may be one of those figures I'm not upset about my kids taking off the shelf.
- I'm not familiar with DW, but the colors look kinda cool.
- HFG thingie looks weird.

The bad news: since I was out of the house, I missed my USPS delivery of TR Trypticon. Unfortunately the earliest I can get it is Monday. At least I'm off! Oh well, considering the price I paid for it (love Amazon lightening deals), I can't complain too much.

Just picked up TR Trypticon from the Amazon lightening deal. The shipping box is fine, but the package box is in terrible condition. It looks like it was dropped one one corner and then some. The figure itself seems ok.....

Ha! Well he’s definitely not the coolest of the bunch, but I do have a genuine love for those BH Predacons. I got him cheap, so I wasn’t going to pass him up. Plus Darksteel needed his partner.

Its a great looking dragon mode and the robot's not bad either. Its just the transformation that is lackluster.
