Content with the day I stopped into the local Goodwill store.. G1 Repugnus!..only 88 cents!!..a must have.
YOU PAID $7 each?! Dang it!! Shoulda waited!! I paid $10 on Saturday for Megatron. Totally worth it at $10 thoughJelZe GoldRabbit wrote:A bit of a delayed impulse purchase right here. You know the drill, weekly groceries at Walmart, me checking the toys, PotP Wave 1 still, though it finally had Prime Masters in, and some TLK leftovers in the form of Voyager Wave 2 and Berserkers. Remembering the unannounced and unadvertised Rollbacks at a another Walmart I frequent I decided to scan them. Here's the result:
Berserker scanned at $4 btw, didn't get him, maybe later, but all in all it's practically 75% off MSRP.
I really need to get my act together and buy one of those. From the original Takara molds but not during the Takara run, you say?Tyrannacon wrote:Mail Call today (was supposed to be here yesterday):

It is the KO version that is produced from the TT molds and outside of the official production run. I feel insanely privileged to own it though even if it is KO and I've got my second "grail" piece basically. It's great to have it and I feel happy to have it so close to Frank Welker's birthday even. It is fitting.

I bet that Repugnus don't have his gun. PPPPFFFFTTTT....
Seriously though, that's one incredible find. Especially if he's not broken and still sparks.

The Last Knight Voyager Class Megatron
The Last Knight Autobot Hound
Can't beat the price
Anything else bought is none of your business

Well, I'm really curious about a video review now.
Maybe, just maybe, I may consider him on sale. Especially if he's easier and less annoying to transform than the HFTD Battle Blades Optimus.

No chrome. That's just a trick of camera flash, my cars dome light, and the wee morning hour.
Prime is really decent in hand, and the transformation is very intuitive. I was able to do it with no instructions with ease.
I gotta wonder though, do I like this line so much because PotP is such utter crap? Or is it really quite good?

That they do. I actually like PotP Prime, but that said, it's a children's toy clearly made for children with nostalgic collector nods thrown in. At least that is how it feels to me.
The Studio Series feels like it was made with the collector in mind first.

I also saw a Leader Rodimus Prime, only the 2nd time I have seen it.
