Burn, I consider Nitro to be a CLASSIC toy that infiltrated the Movie line. Like HFTD Seaspray or RTS Lugnut. Proportions are really classics and the fact that he's a lost Titan Return figure tell a lot.

Only his transformation is akin of the ROTF style. Complicated, convoluted, but oh so satisfying in the end. You'll have a blast with it for sure.

Picked this guy up at a local pop culture fair! This makes me extremely happy as the only Tracks toy I have is the Binaltech one, and Age of Extinction Hotshot :P

Like I said, people have been harping on about him so much.

It's funny, the first stop was at TRU, which yielded nothing of interest. Then I hit K-Mart, which basically set the tone of how I figured the rest of the hunt would go.

So when I went into Target and saw him there, it didn't quite register that I was staring at not just a new figure, but one that I was interested in picking up!

@ Burn;
Not gonna lie, if you can get Sqweeks for a sale price, the little dude is cool.
Nothing earth shattering but the trailer and accessories are a definite plus.
I understand the dilemma about the TLK stuff but I would not be saying this if i didn't think you would appreciate him.
Not a main pickup but an interesting detour in the TLK line.

I second all of this.

I don't really understand the hype for Nitro, his colours are boring and just looks like a second version of Shockwave. His toy head is also boring and not movie accurate at all. I picked up Scorn over him, Target was the store I was least expecting to have the new voyagers.

I don't understand it either!(for Nitro) yes his jet mode does look cool but suffers badly from Silverbolt syndrome(in other words having the bot mode kibble hanging below the jet mode) instead of somehow integrated into the jet mode which would've hidden it better, but I think the real draw for people is the Titan Master connectivity, interaction and playability of the figure

His jet and bot modes are awesome. His transformation is challenging and interesting. And finally, surprise titan Master compatibility, making his "non movie accurate" head irrelevant. Clearly the best voyager after Megatron.

How does that make it irrelevant? Putting another head on will make it more inaccurate. I must confess, while he looks nice, I'm not getting the hype for nitro either. Nice figure? Sure. But best thing since sliced bread? Really? Part of the ritans return love i get.

Yay! This time the correct figure arrived (not like last time when it turned out to be CW Sunstreaker).

My son already tossed it in his junk toy bin and said the figure is boring.

Ok instant love. :)
Dunno what the feet problem is. They're very loose out of the package but when pegged in properly they don't flop at all no matter how hard I shook him.

Update: Transformed him without even taking the instructions out of box. Simples. :D

First up, G2 Primus. Man, this is a really nice, solid toy. I missed out on the previous releases, so I was happy with the TRU online sale price.

G2 Primus.jpg

Next I finally found Overlord in my neck of the woods. He is everything I expected and completes my phase sixers.

Dude, those are both awesome toys! Overlord is a great leader figure and I missed out on the other versions of Primus too, and the G2 colors are awesome!!!
Burn wrote:Box arrived on Friday. It's still un-opened, but I'll just assume it's Legends Gnaw, Hot Rod and Kup.

And today I grabbed Nitro, because apparently he's the bees knees.

Was going to grab Deluxe Sqweeks, but I got to thinking about how much I really do not give a **** about the movie line any more, and how irrelevant that character was.

So that brings my TLK collection to four.

All Decepticons.
Half of them Megatron. :-P

Sqweeks is actually pretty decent. Nothing Earth shattering, but he has a good bit to offer!

Nitro is my figure of the year, and I hope you are enjoying him too! The colors may be a bit bland, but the transformation is incredible, it really isn't a case of "robot under a jet" with how much of him integrates and how sleek it ends up looking, and the bot mode looks great too. Add the cross compatibility with other lines and he is a classic. The Decepticons definitely got some great figures out of TLK.

Been playing with Bee a lot on my desk the past couple hours. Also added a bit of silver and yellow paint in places and filled in the hollow insides of his feet with apoxie and painted over that too so they look more solid.
Image

Anyways now I'm waiting for Cogman who I hope will be here sometime this week. :)

Nice!

I can't find either figure for less than $30 (Cogman $35 from asain countries only), and I really don't want to pay that for a deluxe

Just got a G1 Grotusque and I took opportunity of Walmart's sale to finally have TLK Steelbane for less than 20$CAN + taxes.

So I got this nice, 99.99% complete G1 Grotusque for only 60$CAN at my local Geek Store. Excellent price, but what about the missing 0.01%? The right wing's peg is broken off and is long gone.

So, what to do?

Image

Simple, I REPARED IT! <----(Click for more details)

Image

And the G1 Monsterbots trio is COMPLETE! Yup. When I bought Doublecross, the Geek Stuff owner was right when he said I'll get the other two sooner or later.

Image

As for TLK Steelbane, his limbs were kinda loose as expected, with his left arm completely floppy. I Pledge'd the shayt out of all of his balljoints until he was tight like a virgin on Prom Night. Overall, I REALLY like that figure. Sure, the wyvern mode is herp-a-derp incarnate, but I really love the naiveté of that mode. Plus, the bot mode look really BAD-ASS. I made him an unnoficial member of the AoE fruity dinobots team. He's Earth Cherry. ;)^

Ah pledge is another option then? I shall add that to my list for loose ball joint fixing when people ask/complain about such things :)

Dude. This is the NECTAR OF THE GODS.
Just use several layers and make sure it's completely dried and hardened between layers. It's a long process, but the stuff is completely clear and the balljoints become SOLID.

A bottle like this will last long enough until you're done collecting.

Did you paid the inflated online price or have you found it in the wild? Because in case of the later, it would be big news.

Nice haul! I kinda want the Legends version myself, but regardless, Blitzwing looks like a great figure. I need to get some version of him. And Nitro Zeus too! Gotta love Nitro "Macho Mech" Zeus.
