A Studio Series #1 Bee? I would not recommend it. That Bee almost made me give up on the Studio Series line and the idea of Hasbro/Takara QC, because a #1 Bee will use little plastic nubs instead of pins, they obviously intended to use, to hold the windshield and roof of the car mode onto the figure. When I opened mine, the roof and windshield fell off the toy, couldn't support its own weight to stay on the figure, and when I tried to put it back on in car mode trying to use the feet and the rest of the compacted robot to hold it on it would not fit or tab into place.

I spent three hours drilling out the nubs with a stupidly small drill bit, under a quarter of an inch, using a acetylene torch cleaning tool to hold the drill bit to hand drill out the nubs and replace it with some steel wire I found that was the same diameter as the nubs. Thankfully, the guys at my hardware store didn't seem too fazed when I stood in the aisle going through every single diameter of steel wire in the display trying to find the right diameter of the nubs to fix it. They even offered to give me the two inches for free, but I bought the entire standard three foot length because I was ready to have to put pins in all of my new transformers based on this one toy. Due to the promise of higher quality control made when this line was released.

Otherwise, check out the video reviews. There's a good reason a lot of the #1 Bees were destroyed during the review process.

Hope this helps! :KREMZEEK: :KREMZEEK:

Thanks to a post with a link to these guys on Amazon from TF-fan kev777 in the Siege thread, the Off Road Patrol has already arrived!

Image

I threw Caliburst on the order too as they were both available for next day delivery! I've never had anything delivered from the 'Zon next day. I also experienced, for the first time, Prime's real time tracking. That was RAD! Most Prime stuff comes via USPS, but this was delivered by a Prime van so the tracking must be a perk of them having their own fleet and service.
Cool stuff!

Oh, and neat little robots too!
Powertrain is micro-dopeness! ;)^

Dat Prime delivery is crazy, they probably took a pic of the drop off as well, check your order. Amazon recently opened a warehouse in my city so shipping is crazy fast. I see their fleet of vans all day. We also have prime lockers to do same day pick ups from... SAME DAY!

Well anyway, went to Wally and oops!

I don't think so. with the awesome real time tracking I was literally waiting at the door when he pulled in. He plopped it right in my hand!
With the tracking it was as if I could hear the ice cream man's van coming down the street!

Awesome score, BTW Cary!! ;)^

Better taker a close look at the number in the lower left corner, you may have seen #27 Clunker Bumblebee instead of #1. They're nigh identical, but #27 Clunker has the roof reinforced with metal pins, and it's that version that's currently on the shelves.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Holy crap the Amazon bug flew in here today! Lots of amazon hauls! Congrats!

and the SS Bee mold isn't too bad. But if you saw the Clunker one, i would pick it up and give it a try. It is a pretty unique body thanks to the classic muscle car alt mode

Some exceptionally cool hauls, everyone!

I got a little bit of everything in my latest,
30D39DE9-BA36-4440-9727-DEE54CB025B7.jpeg

Another PCC set, Stakeout and the Protectobots. Pretty cool overall, but I think I prefer that mold in its alt and bot form. Torso mode makes it a little difficult to pose. I also think the mold works better for Smolder, but I still love the whole set. Just a couple more to go!

DotM Airhammer. Pretty solid. Interesting transformation.

BW Polarclaw and Retrax. Polar is better than I was expecting, so I’m happy. I already had a feeling I wouldn’t care for Retrax’s bot mode, but boy do I love his isopod alt, and his roley-poley gimmick. I can completely forgive his clunky, huggin’ arms bot mode.

Then I snagged some deals on Siege figures from Amazon. $15 Red Alert. $12 Brunt. $25 Soundwave.

Is this a personal challenge? Because it will be MUCH cheaper and efficient if you'd just get a reissue box set.

Seriously, it will take forever and cost a ridiculous fortune. Plus you'll have no way of knowing if the parts are the original vintages, the reissues, or the KOs.

Well, good luck.

D-Max - polarclaw is a pretty cool bot. I don’t think you’ll regret picking him up. What he lacks in some articulation, he makes up for with some very nifty gimmicks. I’m a little bias though as I’m a sucker for shoulder mounted weapons. Fortunately where he used to be a little overpriced, even for a used figure, he’s come down in price quite a bit on EBay. Not sure what caused the drop in price, but I’m not complaining. I’d say now’s the perfect time to jump on it. ;)^

Now if only I can find a Survive for a price I’d be willing to fork over.

I highly recommend that you find a convention near you. My best luck for finding parts and accessories has been either the convention scene, or transformerland. Otherwise, you can try toy shows, but they are such a shot in the dark that it could take months or years to find the parts you need, or you can have Primus smile upon you and one guy has it all in one show.

Good luck!

it was the sight of the Survive prices that convinced me Polar claw would be OK. I wanted Survive since he was in Neo, but I love Polar Bears too.

I'm hoping to find one and get him at TFcon!

Also, got some new figures today while out and about:

Image

Finally got Grimlock, 3rd sighting was the charm. Saw Sky Byte at Target, himmed and hawwed over him for a while, him and Jetfire both, but ended up getting him. Had only planned on getting Ratchet, but i'm glad i got him. He is really fun, and i love the Shark mode. I'd say he's better than Cheetor.

Also got Firedrive so Ricochet can have his Targetmaster, and his eventual combined mode will have a weapon too

A few things this past week. Finally got my Amazon exclusives. If you were following along with the my drama with USPS the short version is they dropped it off at the wrong house and whoever had it dropped it off at my house sometime Wednesday morning.

Also picked up an Authentics Grimlock at Five Below. It was the small one, I think that's Alpha class? Whatever, it's a neat little figure, just something cheap to play around with. My only complaint, aside from the T-rex arms being molded into the sides of the body (which I knew about already) is that they should have placed the fists on the inside of the dino legs instead of the back so it could use the elbow joint properly and the claws would have been in a better place. Oh well, I shouldn't complain too much about a figure like this.

And then I picked up a second Siege Refraktor at Walmart yesterday. One more to go.

I mentioned a while back that I had an order coming in from Amazon Japan, but it's still not here. Unfortunately they chose to ship it via DHL which is the worst option for me since they come from Boston, three states away from me here in Maine. They only make one attempt and that's it and that's the last communication the'll make with you despite having your email address and phone number. They take their time handing it off to USPS and that's its own bunch of issues since USPS wont go to my house with any packages that need to be signed for. So the package was attempted by DHL on 8/17, then "attempted" by USPS on 8/22, and by that I mean they took one of their door slips, typed in all the information, and left a photo copy in my mail box. I doubt they keep photocopiers in their trucks. Then I got a final "attempt" on 8/24 in my mail box that was hand written on a door tag. Funny how these door tags are always in my mailbox and not, you know, on my door. I'm trying to set up a USPS account that makes it so I don't have to sign for packages, but I have to wait for them to mail me something because they wouldn't accept my phone number to sign up. I had done the same with DHL, but I guess I didn't do it in time. I wont be able to pick up my package until Thursday or Friday so now my three day shipping has turned into two weeks. #-o

Went toy hunting at the next town over. At Walmart, I finally found SS leader DOTM Megatron. Despite the blocky legs, I still got him at the full 80$CAN with taxes. Gotta admit, he's impressive, but still around 20$ too expensive IMO.

At the flea market, I found two gobots. A big junker copter and Stinger. Stinger is in amazing condition despite being made out of gold plastics. The copter is pretty rad too. I'll repair it's rotors sooner or later.

Scored the 3-pack today by complete chance! Target said they were out, but i was right beside the store and decided to check anyway, maybe see a Cyberverse Ratchet or Scraplet. But nope, score!

You know what though? I really wish we had a seeker in the rainmaker clan that was as purple as these guys are other colors. Then, we could call them Purple R-a/ei-gn! (that one really needs said out loud)

I like the way you have them laid out. A few more redecos and we'll have the Rainbow Makers ;)^

We really need Sunstorm for orange and Bitstream(?) for the primarily purple to have the full rainbow!

1. Soooo jealous of the fact that you've found the Rainmakers!
2. Hotlink was the purple one, Bitstream was teal/aqua/cyan.

Weapon: Anti-Thermal Cannon
Another part of Devastator and the only Siege figure I was interested in (cos Marvel UK Transformers comic reasons). Let's see what these are like.

I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool! :)

Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron
