Gotta admit, that's pretty rad!

It's been a LONG time since I've seen any original TF/G2 combiners. The fact that the Generations 5mm ports work for the HFG is amazing. I love it!

Hah, that totally got by me the 1st time! Looks neat though!

My friend got another batch of random G1 combiners. Among random limbs, he bought a G1 Motormaster. All yellowed, a bit loose, but otherwise unbroken. I volonteered to build him a chestplate/head combo for the combined mode. The thing will combine with the spare HFG to make a drone of some kind.

This will make a completely original combiner with a fresh new look. Once it's complete, I'll share the pictures in the Transtopia forum.

Super haul today!

I went shopping for hardware stuff at Canadian Tire and I got the last Evergreen "scout" to complete the series: Grimlock.

A bit expensive at 8$can, but I really like it. Sure, he's hollow all over, but the bot look like Grimlock and he's fairly articulated.

The dino mode is nearly perfect appart the fact that the arms are
just unpainted details making him look like he doesn't have any!

After painting his dino arms in silver, he will be perfect!
I love that silly thing.

Turn out that Grimlock wasn't the last Evergreen Scout to get. I found Ratchet at Rossy.



The bot mode is a brick, yes. But there is NO HOLLOW PARTS anywhere! That's quite a feat for this line. Plus he's nice looking.



Transformation is pure shellformer but it work so well! Sadly, only his windshield is painted, leaving all of the other windows unpainted. Oh well.
Ignoring the paint, the vehicle is perfect.

Ratchet may be the best of the Evergreen scouts.

I took my chances at TF hunting today and it wasn't for naught.

First, I found K. Galvatron at E.B. Games. Thanks to my Platinum Edge, I saved 7$ so yay! Of course, he have the "wrong" shoulder assembly but for what I saw, it's a non-issue.

Next is the Buzzworthy Bumblebee "crash combiner" Bumblegrim or whatever. Because why not? The Optimus one was ugly as hell, but this one look fine. The figures are TINY Legend sized or even smaller. But they will look great with the RID Cyclonus combiner of the same kind.

Not my haul, but my friend's.
Last month we hunted at a flea market. All my friend got was a Hotwheels car carrier trailer.

So I got the job to adapt that trailer to his SS Bee Optimus. It was a quick and easy job:

So what do with that trailer that can only carry small Hotwheels? Start a collection of tiny TF that can fit in in vehicle mode! So I sold him at cost many RID Spychangers, Minicons, old Legions, and WFC Micromasters. He added the few he already had to the pile and the results are nice. And we can add at least 10 more!

My friend went to a thrift store for some "disposable" work pants. I tagged along just in case. Then I spotted a perfect condition Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime, Target Exclusive Two Pack edition.
He even came with his gun complete with missile, AND the Predaking gun-missile (instead of his sword)! For 3$can.

I still have my set so my friend kept the Optimus. He was surprised in liking it a lot! So MY haul is that Predaking gun-tail. For a potential custom.

I don't do fast food anymore except on a very rare occasion. Went to Wendy's several months ago because I was on the road and starving. All I got was a spicy chicken sandwich, classic single burger, and fries and it was 15 bucks. I literally went "how much???" Its just a waste of money.

Price we pay when burger flippers demand $15 an hour and get it for some reason. Gotta pay those ridiculously high wages somehow. Meanwhile I had to put in 120 hours of class and training and only make a little more than that working in healthcare. And then they dare call themselves heroes and essential workers, please. I rarely do fast food outside of pizza, the economy is terribly broken right now...

Got a trio of Canadian eBay orders in. All found at great prices!

I finally got the Optimus to rival my "voyager" Cyberverse Upgrade Beast Hunters Predaking. It only took me nearly 10 years.

Then I got back Universe Octane and Sunstreaker. Both are really bad . Really, really bad. Now I need to get back Sideswipe and Red Alert!

G1 Joyride! 100% complete, only fault is a bit of faded chrome on the Powermaster. At 87$can, I couldn't refuse. He's derpy and I love it!

Finally, RotF deluxe Wheelie. At 15$can, it was the right price to get him. And WOAH, we got another mass-shifter here to rival Animated Lockdown!

As for the two RiD Spychangers in the baggie, those were bought by my friend and they rode along one of the box.

Am I the only one getting hauls recently?

Anyway, got a few fun things.



First from my local geek store is Beast Wars Fuzor Noctoro! He's really bad-ass in bot mode and beast mode, but that spring-loaded gimmick make the transformation really annoying. Not sure it was worth the full 35$CAN with taxes, but for all the previous deals I had at that store before, it's forgivable.




Next are two Dinobots Adventures two-packs. Each are 21$CAN plus taxes at Walmart. They are reissues/repaints of the Rescue Bots one-steps, plus dino "targetmasters" that came with previous larger bots.

Pretty neat sets. The bot themselves are great looking, but they have ZERO points of articulation. Total, and complete bricks. That's unfortunate.



One more flaw: The weapons cannot fit at all on the bots due to weight imbalance. Bee barely stand on his own and Optimus have a weak spring-loaded arm.



One the positive side, they transform in two seconds and the dinos are pretty cool. Plus each have a fun "jaw action" gimmick where you go "wawr" by pressing a panel on the back of their head. Optimus stand firm on his stompy feet, but Bee can fall flat on his nose at the slightest touch due to most of the weight being on the first half of the dino. The little friends in beast mode are adorable and they transform in one second.



Overall, those sets are not the best thought out things, but they can be loads of fun for little kids. Plus the price is relatively fair. And for a collector, it's fun to have these characters in a small format. It add representation on these weird altmodes without taking too much space.

I just don't buy toys as often I guess. If I found the BW Reissues, or Galvatron or Slag, I'd post a haul but I just don't see them. And I don't find much at the thrift store, nor do I buy TFs on e-bay. SO basically, I buy what's out if I find it. I didn't post this haul of mine though, so here you go

If SS Cyber Cliffjumper is of any indication, be very careful with Bee's chest. It's in all clear plastics and the joint is scarily TIGHT.

Saw Cyberverse Iaconus on sale at 20$CAN and Meteorfire at 22$CAN at Amazon.ca and I just had to get them.

Forgot to photo and post my Kingdom Tracks haul on Friday before I opened him up. After transforming him, that mold doesn't deserve a photo. Wow, what a disappointment, and one I'll likely buy 2-3 more times since I don't have any of the previous mold repaints either. Sigh

Oh well, a least the Buzzworthy stuff should be available pretty soon.

This is a piece of irony for me, and not just a "Hey! I got this!" kind of introductory story.

During my days as a Rewind-level JG1 fanboy, all I can say is that I debated about getting it. The first time was over an AFA 90-level MISB copy that was listed on eBay for $180. All the way to the early Headmasters era in the Legends portion of the JG1 continuity. Which turned out to be going up in price. But not as quickly just because U.S. sellers tend to undersell Japanese versions of things sold state-side.

What makes this an irony is the fact I switched over to the Marvel G1 stuff after I learned that 'Transformers Legacy' may not be a new "in-continuity" trilogy. And yet, Mandarake had to offer this figure for 20,000 JPY (before shipping). With the condition being "Unopened with some box damage". Which appears to be minor shelf wear for the most part. So between that and a work-related deal with a family member...

Lets just say that I paid a whole lot less than what I would have paid the first time around.
