Since I'm starting back into TF toys after a 25 year gap (I'm sure this 2nd childhood is early...), I've got myself so far:

Hasbro MP-13 Soundwave
Generations Megatron (just loved IDW's idea)

I prefer the hunt, as opposed to buying online.

I wish I knew where there were some interesting toy-centric hobby stores around me. I know of a few hobby stores, but they're all mostly comics.

I can understand the feeling. Before I lived where I do now, which is more metropolitan, I lived in the boonies and with no car or internet for a number of years. The only place for TF's 'real nearby' was a Super Walmart, about 20 miles from home! I found myself basically trapped into buying just whatever DOTM they had available, that is, of course, when I had the odd chance to pay someone to drive me there.

Now, I'm quite spoiled. There's around 8 toy shops near me. One (my personal favorite) is just around the corner, in fact.

:PEACE:

Grabbed Beast Hunters Ripclaw, and TFP Ultra Magnus. I have to say, this is the first Ultra Magnus toy I've ever owned and I rather like it.

Just found a bunch of TFP first-edition figures at the Ross Store in Tukwila WA, right next to the Hobbytown. (I was dropping my wife off at the airport) They had a bunch of Bumblebee, Arcee, and Starscream in stock. But it looked like a bomb went off, so I'm not sure how many more were lurking in the toy section.

If you're looking to trade, I'd like to get me a First Edition Arcee, if they're not crazy priced! :D

Managed to get myself both a deluxe BH Starscream and Smokescreen today. Both figures are FANTASTIC! I'm glad Hasbro is not a cheap-ass with the deluxes anymore. Paint aps everywhere, huge weapons and accessories, and figures that feel solid an real. Sure, I will never use Smokescreen's armor, but Starscream's ridiculous weapon can work as a drone partner. Each of these figures also are very fun to transform.

Beside, at 10$ each, it was a steal!

I picked up BH Sharkicon Megatron and Grimwing at Wal-mart today.
I almost passed on them until I saw they were 50% off! 15 bucks for voyagers? Yes please!

Finally got my hands on a Deluxe BH Bulkhead and Deluxe BH Bumblebee A.K.A "Bumblerage". 10$+tx each.

Bulky is okay but I dont like his hood over his head.
As for Bumblerage, I should have bought him ages ago, even at the full 17$+tx. The way his eyes follow you is creepy as hell and he is ridiculously loaded with weapons! I LOVE it!

Finally grabbed PRiD Voyager Dreadwing off of eBay during the weekend. I'm going to blame the holidays for his inevitable delayed delivery, though.

As a side note, I also grabbed the Reprolabel sets for BH Smokescreen (though I'll be using it on my GO! figure), PRiD Knock Out, and PRiD Ratchet.

And there's money spare for once. I expect to pick up the Platinum Edition Grimlock vs Bruticus set at Toys "R" Us tomorrow, but I'll return with any kind of confirmation that.

Oh, yeah. Snagged BH Cyberverse Air Vehicon from Wal-Mart last week.

My brand new local Target is finally open! So, at last, I can enjoy the Target exclusives! Mostly because Target bother to put the damn French on the packagings.

Anyway, I got a TE BH Darksteel at 20$+tx. It's... okay. The bot chest is quite hollow and dosent lock. Furthermore, his transformation is way too simple for a voyager.

Oh well.

Oh, please post your thoughts on the Knock Out set. I want it so badly, but I'm not sure I'll be any good with the vinyl wrap. Fortunately, there's instructional videos to help, but still....

I, too, just ordered their Smokescreen set. It was mailed either yesterday or today (I'll need to dig up the email to remember) and I can't wait. I've used them once before and I was impressed, I don't think I'll be let down by this set either.

...dat Knock Out set. Mmm.

I feel pity for people who's only choice for purchasing TF's is Target, Walmart or Rite Aid.

As far as I'm concerned, Target is awesome... only for their exclusives. My local Target is only 2 weeks old so they have plenty of those.

Luckily, I also have Walmart, who do have awesome stocks from times to times. However, lately they suck.

I have a TrU, obviously.

Canadian Tire, but ONLY after the Holydays.

L'EntrepĂ´t du Jouet, and Winners. Both can have totally unexpected and random stocks from times to times. Goin to either of these places is like playing roulette. Often, it's a miss, but when it hit, you win big!

So, I think I'm pretty good as far as local stores go. And by "local", I mean reachable by bus and not walking for more than half an hour.

Okay, so I went to Toys "R" Us today, and indeed snagged the Grimlock vs. Bruticus set as I had mentioned before.

There was also a "Buy 1, Get 1 Free!" on all PRiD figures $8-20 (so, essentially Commanders to Voyagers). There were two Deluxe Vehicons on the shelf, so even though I already have a Vehicon, I decided to army build and take those two with me.

Hey! One was free!

Sure thing. I'm expecting to recieve the sets either tomorrow, on the weekend, or early next week. I'll let you and everyone else know how well it works for me. :D

Skylinx is one of the most absurd and stupid Transformers of G1. Both in looks and concept. Clearly, that toy was designed to be only for play and have creazy fun. But heh, nobody play with their Transformers around here. [-(

Right?
