Well, you could just look at the box pic to see what the Junkion's head will look like.

Wow... I never thought it was possible for a translucent release to look that bad. Rodimus looks frigin' hideous in those colors! And a brown faceless junkion... eh, just seems to generic for an eHobby release, and even if it wasn't I probably wouldn't care. Talk about making exclusives unappealing.

Definite pass.

What is Rodimus supposed to represent?

I looks like they changed the look of Scrap Heap's head from the first teaser pics to this one that you can see in the artwork. His head looks like it has a shield on it.

Now that would be an upgrade.

What's it really supposed to represent?

Well, I pre-ordered both sets no question. I like the blue Clear Henkei Rodimus goes along with the Blue Sideburn. I like it now I can use him instead of buying Henkei Wildrider for my Shadow Scythe set.

I think the real star of the autobot set is Kup. I don't know what the United version will look like, but this sets Kup looks too awesome to pass up.

I wish the decepticons had solid colors. I think they are going with the whole reformatted transparent look when they were being reformed by Unicron.

Price, well this is E-Hobby you know. I paid through the nose for there version of Astrotrain alone and that when it was out.

So there goes a chunk of my bonus to reserve at the end of the year.

Isn't the blue Rodimus just supposed to represent the moment in the film where he touches the matrix for the first time after Prime's death.

It's a figure accounting for about 2 seconds of on-screen time.

I'm sure it's just coincidental that it shares the colour scheme of one of the only other TFs to have a spoiler as vulgar as Hot Rod's. ;)
In the scenes being refered to in the movie Hot Rod was just bathed in blue light, he didn't turn translucent or have glowy green parts.
Regardless, you can call him whatever you want. He just screams Blaze to me.

i'm mighty conflicted about this lot. The Decepticons look nice, but not nice enough for the money, tbh. Mainly because there's a Galvatron in there. You reckon that for photography on that toy they just spend a few hours before hand cutting and glueing one into vehicle mode?

The Autobots though...  :x

well, the Junkion looks pretty awesome. He's so Genericised! Rodimus, while not a figure I'm a huge fan of, is wowing me with his shiny. Kup looks bloody fantastic, but he's also really bright looking and wrong somehow. I like it! G1-toy deco as opposed to the cartoon deco we've got on the single release. He looks new, and old.

Again, though, the price is kind of off-putting. I could get 6 deluxes for the price of one of these sets and still have change. Hmm...?

If Dirge and Thrust are an indicator of anything, Hasbro will bring the Junkion over to the states at some point.

Now that is a very good point.

Please point at anyone you think may not have been listening and I will have a stern talking to with them.

If no body buys of them, then they'll get dusty and shelf wear and we should be able to get them for around $90 a pop........snort snort then i woke up.

Rated X wrote:And these fools are playing "top secret" with the junkion's damn head. I hate when they do that crap.

From the first post: The third member of this set is Scrap Heap, a brown and red version of the upcoming Wreck-Gar figure. He will also come with a new head, which was yet to be developed prior to the images being made.

I don't think they're trying to keep it from us, it just hadn't been developed yet. So rather than misleading anyone with Wreck Gar's head, they just edited it out so you know it'll be different.

Is there a reason as to why only 1 autobot is clear instead of all 3 like the decepticons? I like em but im not big on importing so unless hasbro starts to do cool things like this im out of luck.

Thought about it for the day and preordered it. I already have two Cyclonuses and Galvatrons, but dammit, this is my favorite scene from the entire movie. And the set looks so, sooooo tastety.

Other than Hot Rod the Autobot set holds no appeal for me, though. Which is just as well, I suppose. As for why he gets a toy for the one second he holds the Matrix, well .... Ultra Magnus did too, so it's just Hot Rod's turn.

and on the earlier, somewhat blacked-out picture showing the light-piping eyes. It appears to be the visored head design.

Literally spent the last 20 minutes with my mouse over the place order button at TFsource. The reformatted translucent cons were saying, "Either you sell out or we do..." I then realized this is an addiction; $130 that you don't have and here you are feeding your debt? No... plastic crack... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOOOOOOOOOOOOORE, I SAY!

For all of you who are on the fence about this set, just think, just think how much cooler your collection will be now that most of us are balking at it.

How does thinking factor into grown adults buying transforming robot toys? We all just want someone to coddle and cater to us while our childhood is raped over and over again. If anyone really thinks I'm serious here...Well, you'd be a silly goose now, wouldn't you?
