Overlord should be a Commander class at the bare minimum though. Then he will scale at last with "titan return" God Ginrai.

Given how badly he warmed shelves we won't see another Overlord any time soon, so I'd say his massive chunky TR Leader mass is enough.

I'm happy enough with using another overlord as boots/weaponiser to increase the height for now or just have him normal and the other in a different mode tho I probably would buy him again as commander class because I like overlord.

He warmed shelved because he was overproduced and came with almost every waves of TR leaders. That was ridiculous.

For all who are talking about Doubledealer: Ryan confirmed at the event that Doubledealer is a leader, but he is about the same size as Astrotrain. He is still voyager height, but is pretty damn wide and deep

This is incorrect, Overlord was the final Leader of the line and shipped in a solid case, that's why he suffered

Not quite, he was the last Leader released in Titans Return, only in the final wave and came 2 to a pack. So I would say more of a tail-ender syndrome than being over produced and over released. Plus the end of Titans Return was a mess in general.

ER Megatron’s head looks like Cyberverse Megatron. It’s not right. Scorponok’s head has now gone the opposite direction and looks too big and he has weird baby ankles. We just got Smokescreen. I’m so disappointed with ER’s offerings. I had such high hopes and I’ve just been mostly crestfallen. I’m usually such a booster my TF energy has gone from Feng Shui to Feng Sh*t.

I think that reflects less on ER Megatron and more on A. How wonky G1 Megs' head is in the cartoon (its usual shape is based on a misinterpretation of the toy's head from a certain angle) and B. how well the Cyberverse toy captured that look
Stargrave wrote:Scorponok’s head has now gone the opposite direction and looks too big and he has weird baby ankles.
How so? It's no wider than the central panel of his chest, and is tall in proportion to that width. It should look fine in hand, especially next to Fort Max. As for the ankles... It's necessary to give clearance for his feet folding up in scorpion mode and for the built-in ramps, while still allowing him to have ankle tilts.
Stargrave wrote:We just got Smokescreen.
As an online exclusive that is now harder to come by, and that had an iffy deco and that lacked the spoiler and air dam.

What are your thoughts on Airwave, Snapdragon, Sky Lynx, et al?

Siege definitely had a much bigger sense of "new and exciting" attached to it, being the first line of a brand new trilogy, offering a level of detail in engineering, sculpting, and paint applications not seen before in the Generations line, and producing a lot of top-tier characters in forms that are perhaps the best modern representations of their G1 selves outside of Masterpiece. Earthrise, by comparison, feels like it's running behind schedule, thanks to being pushed off by a change in Siege to create a fifth wave of that instead of wrapping up at four, like originally planned. It's also produced some "duplicate" characters in the line-up that, while are noticeably better in many ways to their Siege versions just last year, are only incrementally better than what just came before, compared to the big quality leap between Power of the Primes and Siege. That, and the fact that we simply could have "waited" to get a better Optimus Prime or Starscream feels like money "wasted" on their "stop-gap" Siege versions. Splitting off into a new subline with the Netflix redecos is probably not helping the Earthrise hype train too much either, honestly. What Earthrise needs right now is more reveals, a better understanding of exactly what will be available when, and more details on the upcoming "Generations Selects" repaints of some of these molds. I have a good feeling that some amazing stuff is on the way, but we have to be a little more patient, and Hasbro has to be just a little less secretive about their "roadmap" for 2020 at this point.

Given recent trends, the Selects redeco actually has a strong chance of being Cybertron Defense Red Alert. I'd prefer it be Stalker or MW Soundwave, because as an owner of the original Cybertron Defense Red Alert I don't really care for a watered-down version :P That, and the Decepticon ranks need the swelling more.

ZeroWolf, I don't think you're quite being fair to SIEGE Optimus and Starscream by calling the Earthrise versions "better" versions. Especially not Starscream. Earthrise Starscream isn't better per se, he's just an Earth Mode version. And in the case of the Seekers, that's a very strong distinction. There is quite a difference between a tetrajet and an F-15 Eagle, so I'm quite happy to double-dip there. If ER Starscream makes me regret getting anything, it's PotP Starscream. Now, I'll grant you that Optimus is a more uneven case since even leaving aside the trailer (which bumps him up a size class) the ER version has an actual removeable Matrix and the SIEGE version does not. But I think the SIEGE version does still succeed at looking unearthly thanks to the clear grille and the giant roof lights. Definitely looks less like an Earth vehicle than, say, Sideswipe.

Scorponok, Sky Lynx, Snapdragon, Airwave, Ironworks, Optimus, Starscream, the promise of Coneheads, Hoist (and the promise of Trailbreaker), Grapple (and the promise of Inferno), Wheeljack (and the promise of Sunstreaker), Doubledealer, Allicon... All of that has me excited for Earthrise.

Nothing necessarily. I'm just saying that certain trends make him a likely possibility. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Crosswise redeco of Earthrise Smokescreen, for the same reason. That would be amusing, considering something about Crosswise.
